I actually know the guy. Well actually I voted for him for the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District Advisory Board in San Francisco. I'm so happy that the lady was wise enough to stop the scam.
It reminds me of the movie Matrix when you see people who seem to want to remain within the illusion of a relationship. They seem to experience a superficial happiness from the illusion and that seems to be preferable to them .
Also consider for her age she is a 9-10. Most we see on this channel are a 1-3 at best. It stinks that we live in such a superficial world as well as with so much vanity but these scam videos confirm it every time.
Just keep a young mentality. NOT immature, young. Stay healthy and active, engage your mind even finding new interests or renewing old ones. I had taken piano lessons as a kid but got away from it. I have taken it up again. There are a few other things I have renewed interest in as well. When I hear myself say I am 75, it absolutely does not compute. I think "whose voice is that? surely not mine." haha. It really doesn't fit.

He asked me for money to pay his bill in a German hospital, and I finally got my chance to have fun! 😁😁I told him I was going to catch the very next plane to be with him in Germany. I said I would pay all his bills when I got there and I would be returning with him to Paris, to look after him, as he would be totally unable to care for himself!🤣🤣🤣 I said I wouldn't dream of leaving him in a foreign country alone and injured and with no one to look after him. You'd think he would have been pleased by my dedication to his well-being - after all, he was in love with me and wanted us to live together in Paris - but he was strangely against the idea! 😲😯 And when I continued . . . saying I was on the plane and needed the address of his hotel and the name of the hospital, he got confused and thought I was really on my way. So then I told him I had known since the beginning and had just been playing with him for fun . . . and HE said I was a Bad Person. Hmmmm?🤔 🤭🤭🤣 One of the funniest lies he told me was that his plane trip from Paris to Germany on business had taken 14 hours!! What a chump! 😁 I really enjoyed myself leading him 'up the garden path!'😆

Now we're pretty petty and hateful lol

Some do but would some of these people pay attention to it . I doubt it because these people all seem to understand they shouldn't have sent money but I think they start it and then get in so deep it takes them awhile to register what they are doing.
This is the first SMART Romance victim I have seen on the internet. She is good looking for her age and she has a brain. This is the kind of woman who has logic & common sense in her favor. I would not mind knowing her myself. I feel we could possibly hit it off. I like her style.
The simplest way to tell if someone’s a scammer or not is to just video chat. You can’t mean to tell me you believed you had real love with someone who was ready to buy a house and start a life with you… but wouldn’t even get on a video chat.
Even with video chats, it can still be a scam. Scammers often pick a photo to use where the actual person has a video or two up on the internet for whatever reason. They will use that video, with the actual audio removed, and do a voiceover with their actual voices. Also, these videos are often short, because of ‘connection issues’.
I sometimes think some of the victims know they are being scammed pretty early on, but just don't want to admit it themselves as it's far better to feel attractive and loved than lonely or unwanted
This is true. Stuff doesn't add up. Embarrassment sets in. I have found scammers attempt to alienate women or rare occasions men from friends n relatives. But in my case friends as I have no relatives. Lots of lonely nights n days until somebody talks to u or acknowledges a homely woman such as myself is alive. My self esteem n trust is in the toilet

This woman’s story is the only one amongst pretty much EVERY other story on this channel that makes me think there is still hope for humanity. She has a brain and she used it. Delusion-free with a terrific personality, and she takes care of herself and values herself and realizes that you have to do those things and already be enjoying your life with yourself BEFORE you add someone else into your life. You cannot find happiness in another person if you are miserable on your own. Miserable, lonely people need to learn to enjoy their lives solo before adding another person.
They really arent good. The ones in this type of scam claim to be from countries they know nothing about. You hear them talking with obvious accents and they send messages that are semi literate and full of cliches.
Finally, a woman who used her common sense for once! Plus realistically speaking, if a man has to even ask you money generally in person or in real like it's a red flag 100% 🚩

Best thing to find out if someone is a scammer online as well as in real life is to say no to a favour and see the reaction. People who want to take advantage get nasty or make you feel uncomfortable. A person who respects your opinion or decision wouldn't do that. Please people learn to say no to something you don't like or don't want to do. Someone who has a go at your personal boundaries is poison for your psyche!
This reminds me of a story on This American Life about pimps. The pimp said he would ask a woman for some small, but unnecessary favor. If she obeyed, he knew he could enslave her. If she said, for instance, "get your own damn drink " he would just leave her be.
I think the reason why the FBI doesn’t do anything is because it is your choice to believe the scammer and to send them money. Nobody forces you. It’s voluntary. Yes they lied and tricked you but you didn’t have to go for it.
I had someone try to scam me and I used this site and the results were 🤯. I confronted the scammer with photos from this site and instagram and of course no response 😂. Good Job Social Catfish 👍🏽
That is not always true that "real people will be marketing themselves online", I personally dont have facebook or anything else with my pictures all over the internet, simply because I am a very private person and I don't like other people nosing around in my life, that doesn't make a scammer, that just means I like my privacy and my life isn't an open book to the whole world.
I watch old reruns of Unsolved Mysteries on free TV. They are from before Internet. The majority or women who were scammed either met the creep through one of those online dating services or church. Yes, church. So beware! Also keep in mind that men, who aren't scammers, rarely date older less attractive women. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.
I love playing with romantic scammers. One year, I sent my scammer a link to the song "On come Emmanuel" and I said I knew it would be special to him because of his son. He asked me what I meant and I said well you told me you had a grown son named Emmanuel rght? all of a sudden he's like, oh yeah, I remember him now that you brought him up. I said where was it you told me he lives. Oh, yeah, he says, I told you he lives in Miami. Ehhh, wrong. You d or me he's 12 years old and lives in Iowa with his mother. That was so much fun.
You cannot realize how many persons are involved in the scam, besides watching many videos like this. The "broker" is also an accomplice of the "lover", also are "the son", "the commander", "the army sergeant", "the nanny" etc. "Knowing" many people circling around the "lover" is no proof for the reality of the guy.

Same story i was told. Mine was Travis motorman, Randall Crawford. Explosions on the rig, i phone and laptop damaged and he wanted to give me $10000. He lived in a half million dollar home, had 2 sons he wanted me to meet, blah blah blah.....no video chat.
I talked to another man "Scott" whose wife died of cancer. He was an oilfield engineer from Shell and out on a rig. Big red flag! Also, if they mention they have children and send pictures of the children, get away quick. What parent in their right mind would share a photo of their child?

Most victims are looking for someone opposite of themselves! Nothing wrong with opposite attraction Im 54 and like older men my last relationship was with a retired optometrist who was 71 years old. But when you're uneducated and stupid and look for a genius or when you're 250 plus pounds and want a swimsuit illustrated model who is into physical fitness it's a problem! They wouldn't even have anything in common. The reason older men work better for me is because my parents were 48 and 53 when I was born and my oldest brother is 25 years older than me. I'm used to older people.

This woman’s story is the only one amongst pretty much EVERY other story on this channel that makes me think there is still hope for humanity. She has a brain and she used it. Delusion-free with a terrific personality, and she takes care of herself and values herself and realizes that you have to do those things and already be enjoying your life with yourself BEFORE you add someone else into your life. You cannot find happiness in another person if you are miserable on your own. Miserable, lonely people need to learn to enjoy their lives solo before adding another person.

They really arent good. The ones in this type of scam claim to be from countries they know nothing about. You hear them talking with obvious accents and they send messages that are semi literate and full of cliches.

Best thing to find out if someone is a scammer online as well as in real life is to say no to a favour and see the reaction. People who want to take advantage get nasty or make you feel uncomfortable. A person who respects your opinion or decision wouldn't do that. Please people learn to say no to something you don't like or don't want to do. Someone who has a go at your personal boundaries is poison for your psyche!

I think the reason why the FBI doesn’t do anything is because it is your choice to believe the scammer and to send them money. Nobody forces you. It’s voluntary. Yes they lied and tricked you but you didn’t have to go for it.

That is not always true that "real people will be marketing themselves online", I personally dont have facebook or anything else with my pictures all over the internet, simply because I am a very private person and I don't like other people nosing around in my life, that doesn't make a scammer, that just means I like my privacy and my life isn't an open book to the whole world.

I watch old reruns of Unsolved Mysteries on free TV. They are from before Internet. The majority or women who were scammed either met the creep through one of those online dating services or church. Yes, church. So beware! Also keep in mind that men, who aren't scammers, rarely date older less attractive women. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

I love playing with romantic scammers. One year, I sent my scammer a link to the song "On come Emmanuel" and I said I knew it would be special to him because of his son. He asked me what I meant and I said well you told me you had a grown son named Emmanuel rght? all of a sudden he's like, oh yeah, I remember him now that you brought him up. I said where was it you told me he lives. Oh, yeah, he says, I told you he lives in Miami. Ehhh, wrong. You d or me he's 12 years old and lives in Iowa with his mother. That was so much fun.
You cannot realize how many persons are involved in the scam, besides watching many videos like this. The "broker" is also an accomplice of the "lover", also are "the son", "the commander", "the army sergeant", "the nanny" etc. "Knowing" many people circling around the "lover" is no proof for the reality of the guy.
I think Yvonne is lying about being 68. I think she’s really 48! 😆 It’s great that she was able to tell right away that this was a scammer (or scammers since most of these are a team of scammers pretending to be one person). I’m sure she’ll find her Mr. Right.

Same story i was told. Mine was Travis motorman, Randall Crawford. Explosions on the rig, i phone and laptop damaged and he wanted to give me $10000. He lived in a half million dollar home, had 2 sons he wanted me to meet, blah blah blah.....no video chat.

I talked to another man "Scott" whose wife died of cancer. He was an oilfield engineer from Shell and out on a rig. Big red flag! Also, if they mention they have children and send pictures of the children, get away quick. What parent in their right mind would share a photo of their child?

Most victims are looking for someone opposite of themselves! Nothing wrong with opposite attraction Im 54 and like older men my last relationship was with a retired optometrist who was 71 years old. But when you're uneducated and stupid and look for a genius or when you're 250 plus pounds and want a swimsuit illustrated model who is into physical fitness it's a problem! They wouldn't even have anything in common. The reason older men work better for me is because my parents were 48 and 53 when I was born and my oldest brother is 25 years older than me. I'm used to older people.

Thank goodness you found a smart woman who trusted her gut. I leaned early to do that, and it always keeps me grounded. Intuition is everything. Even though you may hope something is one way, your gut feeling is the way to go.
Hard to understand that legal authorities cannot do anything to stop these scams, or at least curb the incidence of them. They work out of Nigeria, for God's sake!

YES! Honestly… the people I know who’ve found long-term love have found it pursuing their interests. Meet-ups are great because there’s such a wide variety of focuses. My favorite one for a while was Drunken Philosophy 😂
There are other ones in my city like staircase walks… we have lots of hills and hill-stairs… park improvement groups … skillshares… And of course there are singles groups with activities too.
