Wow.. Dr. J had a bad night 42 to 6 against Bird. I'm listening to this and dang.... Bird was SAVAGE. He took no prisoners.. he was the same trash talker to every opponent.. Not arrogance.. confidence.. and he got into your head and always backed it up. Even in the 90's when he was challenged.. it put fire into him.. and as busted up as his body was.. he would still come through when he said he would.

I always enjoy you video analysis. I don’t always agree with you but that’s ok. I find you honest and fair and you make it fun to watch. I finally subscribed to your channel. And finally Larry Bird is a top 5 baller lol. I’ve been watching basketball since the 1960’s. Born a Knicks fan growing up in Brooklyn but Larry was my favorite and I’ve watched all the legends play. Keep up the good work.

Bird told a rookie, "I can do things you could never do" then threw up a long 3 pointer that missed badly. The rookie said " Hell I can do that". Bird replied, "Yeah, but I can do it and not get benched"

Cooper Flagg is letting his defenders know what's up. He's talking at the men and he's only 17 years old. He'll be in the NBA at 18 and he's already dominate. He's got Larry's skill, but he's an unbelievable athlete as well. NBA, look out, these young ones like Cooper and Victor are bringing something totally different to the league. Like Lebron, it's human evolution. Players are getting bigger and better. Every 20 to 30 years you see a big leap forward in athletic ability across the board. Same with track and field. Humams are still getting better, and guys like that are proof.

The only player that Jordan never got up on, and never won the war was Larry. Legend, Larry won that war between the two.

hehe... search the story Craig Ehlo has to say about Larry Bird,... "he was not a nice person" he said.

Yea It Seemed Like Bird Enjoyed Doing Records Against The Hawks. It Was Like He Was Showing To Those Great Athletes That Isn't Good Enough Going Against My IQ Mixed With Skills, ha ha ha. Just Look Up How Many Times Bird Used That IQ/Wit To Break Records Against The Hawks. I Seen An Interview-(somewhere here on YT)-With Wilkins. And D. Wilkins Said He Would Ask Young Players; Would You Rather Be A Great Athlete OR A Great Player? And He Said Most Would Always Pick A Great Athlete. And He Would Tell Them NO. A Great Athlete Can Get You Some Ooo's & Aww's BUT A Great Player Will Get You More Win's And That Is What Larry Bird Was. To Me That Was One Of The Best Statements I Heard A Really Great Man & Player Describe Bird. Really, They Had A Lot Of Respect For Each Other.

Larry Bird always dominated the Hawks 😂. I also believe that being a great player is better than being a great athlete 💯

@@JayHemmsSports Yea I Really Think Bird Liked To Show Up This Team Filled With Great Athlete's That Was Not Going To Be Enough. He Did Like Wilkins, Because He Knew Wilkins Wanted To Win Badly & Had Heart For The Game. But, And I Think He May Have Said OR It Might Be In A Book That He Said. That Wilkins & His Other Teammates Need To Learn It Was Going To Take More Then Just Athletic Slam Dunking & Depending On Just One Man For Most Of The Points Is Not Going To Get Them All The Way. I Agree Because When You Watch The Hawk Players, Even Though It Some What Entertaining; But That Leads To Not Focusing On The Game Winning. They Are Going To Fast & Making A Lot Of Mistake's Because They Haven't Leaned As A Team That First You Have To Know Each Other & Where Everyone Might Be, For The Passing & Not Get Into Foul Trouble, Just Trying To Always Over Do It & They Ware Themselves Out & Get Out Of Focus. So Yes Bird Enjoyed Teaching Them This Lesson Over & Over. BUT He Also Knew Wilkins Was The Main One That Hated To Lose, But It Wasn't Working For Him All The Time Because It Takes Teammates Too. Like I Said Bird Liked Wilkins BUT He Also Got A Kick Out Of Teaching Him & His Teammates. Bird Enjoyed Saying Funny Little Remarks To Wilkins & His Other Teammates. Wilkins Could Take It Better Then Some Others Could On His Team, ha ha ha ha ha. In Fact Bird Said In A Interview, That When He Said A Little Thing To Wilkins HE Wilkins Would Laugh Along With Bird. Because Bird Was NOT M-F'ing Him OR Anything Like That. Bird Was Funny To Other Players & They Did Laugh With Him At Times. So If Bird Was A Mean-Talking Cursing OR Really Pounding His Chest, Wilkins Would Not Think So Highly Of Him As He Does. In Fact A Lot Of Great Players Wouldn't Think Highly Of Him He Did It In That Way. Sorry This Was So Long BUT I Just Loved Bird's High IQ/Wit & Skills.

But, I don't think we'll every hear the stories we hear about Larry. The stuff he pulled is hard to believe if it weren't for the players and coaches telling their first hand accounts. The great Pat Riley said it wasn't just the players who were afraid to face him, but the coaches were scared of him to. Too funny!

Saying O'DrJ Was Not Playing, Like That Was A Good Thing. There Were 2 People Holding Bird From The Neck Down. And For DrJ To Take Those Shots On Bird Was Really A LOW Point For DrJ To Do That. It Was A Puzzy Thing To Do.And That Is A Fact & Not Cute Or Funny Thing He Did. And I Like DrJ A Lot BUT To This Day He Will Not Omit That Was A Low-Life & Very UN-Manly Thing To Do. And That Is Disappointing.

I think Larry giving rookies a hard time when they came into the league taught them.. this ain't college..learn from the big dogs and see what you can do... Made them better players in the years to come.. but now days.. everything has to be so politically correct.. (not saying Larry of anyone back in the day wasn't politically correct) but it's not acceptable in any sport now to push the envelope.. you will be fined.. no hands.. Heck I'm a football fan and I think in the next 10 yrs we'll be playing flag football. Yuck... let em play SPORTS.. I don't ever want anyone to be hurt but I feel games aren't played with the same intensity today

That Guy didn't do his research. Larry Bird scores 32 points at the Half. And would of scored 70 plus. Larry Bird was kicked out of the Game only 5 minutes in the 3rd Quarter and had plenty of time to put up 20 more before the END OF THE 3RD. I know it's not you it's the guy who made this Video. Larry Bird was going for a Record and DR J was going to be his victim. But Dr. J had enough.
