This Segment is about how the Main Weapons rank up against each other. Which ones jump out as good or bad and why we rank them how we do.

I listened to you guys talk about the hel pistol auto pistol and I fell in love with that gun it's my Main now
1st choice: HEL shotgun, always.
If range needed, Carbine.
If shadows, HEL rev for the good light.
That is all.

I love the HEL revolver due to how strong it is (and the fact it's a Hybrid electrothermal light-gas revolver, duh).
But good GOD the animations are horrendous, I'd pay 10 Chambers good money to just remake them from scratch.
That's why I use the Hel auto pistol, it's not as good but the animations are a little bit better atleast.
A couple questions, I play in a group of 3 and we typically use a bot with a scanner for any levels we do, would you recommend any specific weapons for the bot to use?, or would it be more beneficial to ditch the bot all together? I have been tore on if the bot actually helps the group or not, on one hand it will scan ALL the enemies, and as far as I can tell has "decent" ammo efficiency, but on levels such as R2E1 our group struggles because the bot isn't able to understand when we need to move around the surge alarms as well as using melee when the enemies reach a certain distance.
Bots rly struggle on levels such as R2E1 sadly yea. Otherwise you could spawn and despawn him when needed (done by locking the spot).
Generally bots should take a veruta machinegun. But if you want a more detailed info there is a steam guide made by „black_dragon“

The slug shotgun is fantastic at juggling giants. It breaks limbs super easy
Sry for necro but what is the significance of breaking limbs? I know that breaking limbs causes stagger, but also just dealing stagger damage equal to the stagger hp induces stagger. What is the deal with limbs in particular?
I think it works like the tumors when they explode and it also adds the stagger as u said@@warwickthekingmaker7281
Burst pistol is F tier. It has even lower DPS than the assault rifle and even worse range! What potential does it have?
Despite overall being middle of the road I still mostly default to the pistol. Always have a soft spot for a good looking and feeling pistol and the stagger effect plus great ammo economy means I can take it on most missions and be fine. If I know its going to be mostly heavier enemies tho its revolver all the way for sure
@@dr.richarddicknificentm.d.5532 the pistol is a great example of a perfectly fine weapon in this game. And while it might not pack the punch of the better mains its a totally fine gun for practically everything
Why is the carbine so highly rated? How are you supposed to use it? I've only tried it a couple of times but it just felt very mid. The time to kill for normal enemies was very high because I'd need 3 bursts most of the time to kill a normal striker because of how the damage thresholds line up. The bursts take a lot longer to fire than a single auto weapon, so where the hel revolver you can line up a headshot and follow it with a swift bodyshot to kill a striker, the carbine would take agonisingly long for every kill, making me vulnerable to being attacked by the other enemies meanwhile, and landing headshots feels hard with a burst weapon as you need to hit the head with the entire burst compared to hitting one shot. Against chargers it looks identical in performance to hel revolver at first glance, 4 bursts to kill, but the revolver can shoot those 4 shots really quickly and possibly get piercing value while the carbine is stuck shooting the first guy for a really long time. It doesn't even have good range. I must be missing something...
So first things first. Carbine can pretty reliably kill in 2 bursts. Which is the equivalent to a hel revo 2 tap.
But even with 3 bursts (its like hel revo without a hs).
The reason its a great gun is because its pretty heavily statted.
Its got great burst due to its high fire rate (you can spam it very quickly) and high dmg per mag.
Its got decent range and incredible hip fire.
Comparing it to hel revo is also kinda eh, since hel revo is pretty clearly the best main in the game for most gameplay.
Basically you are underestimating in how many shots it kills, how fast it shoots and how much range it has.
(Just for reference. Carbine can shoot faster than the smg)
@@D4RKEVA right so how do I make the carbine kill in 2 bursts? Do I have to hit the first burst on the head and the second on the body? I'm guessing it one bursts shooters to the head
Also is there any situation where you'd take the carbine over revolver?

Carbine is a lot easier to perform with for one. Its hipfire is pretty much pinpoint
Carbine is better in situations where you want to spam down strikers where pen isnt that likely. (Consider that it has nearly twice the dmg per mag vs hel revo)
This makes it a better choice close range.
@@D4RKEVA if I can learn to consistently 2shot strikers that's actually huge. I'll give this weapon another try.

You dont have to consistently get 2 bursts. Carbines biggest upsell is that you can spam it into enemies to just burn down groups at mid range.
2 burst is obviously good tho
I did tell scaler about the stagging is better than waste bullets in a deadboddy
The bullpup and van auken smg are my go to though....
play what you enjoy! Even if weapons are weaker the game is still beatable with any loadout, it just is harder than with better/more optimized weapons
@@D4RKEVA it's what I love about the game. I can't stop playing it. I have to do it solo though. My friends are to intimidated
What would you pair with the Omneco just generally? I'm new and have 16 hours in the game. Really enjoying the omneco as my special. The Hel shotgun is fun too but i'm interested in the Hel autopistol. just not sure if there's a better pair or not. :) I figured since I like to hold doors with omneco that the shotty would be better if they break thru and can be a better run and gun than the autopistol but idk.. loved listening to all these :)
omneco? You mean either the Hel rifle or hel gun? (preferably use those terms, the gun manufacturer names are commonly not used/known)
Generally anything from the better weapons works well so its rly just preference. DMR is probably the worst combo i guess from those tho

@@RayCincy hel revo is generally just busted and pairs well due to its dmg + penetration.
A weapon that profits more from the combo itself is rifle, but its rly not that great anymore and legit just worse here.
Slug shotty gets terribad ammo fill and has bad ammo cap to begin with. That makes it F tier, while the gun feel and damage itself could be B tier imo.
Do you play on 120 FoV?

its surprising how y'all say that its easy to enjoy hel revolver while having mixed thoughts on slug shotgun, while i fucking despise revolver and adore slug shotgun, lol
it's a matter of being used to different things but most of the hate for slug it's just the range/rate of fire lol
otherwise i mean feels fun but it can be difficult to play between that
Double tap rifle in B tier, you people must be high, that gun is awful with how much recoil there is
Its a hard gun to use. But if you can use it well (through practice or generally cracked aim) then its definetly rly good.
The PDW's bullets are actually really weak. I don't know how you guys think it's the same as the other SMGs; it's not.
Also the Heavy SMG is top tier.
Pdw does 0.3 less dmg than heavy smg per bullet and 0.17 more than smg
In raw combat stats its slightly worse. But the thermal utility bails it out since its a thing unique to it.
Heavy smg is not top tier. The gun is not even remotely close to the top 6 weapons at all in how much impact it has
@@D4RKEVA The PDW is one of the worst guns in the game. It has no stagger/stopping power, which is defensively important. The extra damage doesn't mean much when you take into account you actually want to create distance with enemies, meaning the PDW is weaker in real gameplay than the stat you are looking at. Add on top of that, it has significantly less ammo to the two other SMGs, while you retain the most ammo with the Heavy SMG. You have to stop reading stats and actually play the game to know this information.

Also who wants to create distance with enemies? A lot of guns want to get somewhat close and they are among the best in this game (hel shotty, scattergun, combat shotgun)
@@GrubKiller436 bro Eva has like 3000+ hours, I think he plays the game a little more than your average player. Scaler, Lurker, BlackDragon, and Tru also are all really good players lol
@@D4RKEVA Yeah. You named shotguns which stagger enemies. The PDW doesn't stagger enemies.
Weapons with different ranges of effectiveness exist, which are real descriptions in the game and you are ignoring. And then you are admitting right after there are such things as short ranged weapons.
Assault rifle being d tier is so wrong its not even funny 😂
