I first played it and didn’t know how to get a good ending and having no idea what I was doing and I got the good ending XD. Imagine if all the kids actually did show up. That’s a lotta dead bodies kind of.
If only this game could all play out on its own... I’m sick of having to click on the screen all the time pointing directions for Alex when there was obviously only one way to go. Hope this gets made into a movie or something haha I’m such a lazy jerk
I know the feeling. I actually liked the little time jumps in the 2nd time through. Thankfully, the art and music are very interesting, but the 10th track through the woods can be a little of a slog. But yet, the story is 100% phenomenal. I still give the game an A+, but a movie would be great!
Have you seen the game trailer where Alex asked “does it hurt” and then the figure in front of her turned red and spooky? I’ve never gone through this scene throughout the entire gameplay. Is it supposed to be happening on one of the alternate timelines? I’m kinda confused...
Yeah I did, the devs stated that they took that out because it didn't fit with the story they were trying to tell that was from the interview I referenced if you wanna see them say it for yourself. I found that confusing too though
ShermanSays dude just sayin you break down this shit real nice and clear. You might as well consider do a walkthrough or breakdown on firewatch, a choice-based adventure fp quite similar to this one. It’ll be worthwhile I guarantee you
What makes no sense to me is after the 2 playthroughs and warning Alex not to go to the island, when you go back to the menu you still have an option to "continue same timeline" - what timeline? Why are we in the boat again? What Alex are we playing? And we replay going back to the island as in the 2nd playthrough, which tempt us to think there will be something else different... But there isn't! It's just a waste of time. That was the only disappointing aspect of the game, to deceive us there would be a different 3rd + playthrough, the option should have been greyed out.
No matter what the real Alex or the first time you play as Alex you closed the portal with yourself as a sacrifice for your friends, and try to find out how to close and go back to normal life, but other alex(s) don't and go. But the one who opened the portal and stared all are for ever trapped , no way out just like the "ghost" or "souls"
If you get the better ending preventing alex to go to the island that alex is safe but not the one who started all. If you get that ending , and you try to play the game its days "starst" or "play" not continue. But regardless alex is still stuck whether "continuing" or start game
