Well, this is my opinion! Being used to using Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom, I wanted an app that is comparable to those. I think that the Snapseed app is the best. I also give you an example of how to use Snapseed. I think this is one of the best apps for photographers, and could be considered a Lightroom replacement for phones and tablets. Thanks Jay for the tutorial on Snapseed. You make it look very easy. I’m a rank beginner- so I’m gonna have to watch that again a few times. Im very overwhelmed by scope and breadth of the options. This was very helpful!

I recently downloaded snapseed a month or so ago. I really like it too..
I have had it for a long time! They have made some great updates to it over the years!
How do you get the screen on the side to show as you work on the app?
Magic 🎩 lol Actually I use my MacBook and QuickTime to record it. However.....the new iOs 11 should allow for screen recording without plugging to anything....standalone screen recording!

This would probably be better suited for the Photoshop desktop version. Not sure there is a good way to do it on Snapseed.

@@malonecustomdesigns I might just give it a shot I don't edit my pictures im to cheap to pay for anything in the photoshop family. I have a nikon D850 that does an awesome job spitting up jpegs but I have wondered. Now I gotta figure out how to get my camera to give me a raw file. Thanks kids.

Will this app work if I transfer pictures from my camera shot in RAW? Or is it only jpeg?
It does support RAW files, but I think you will need to covert your raw file to a DNG file extension if it isn’t already.

On your DSLR do you use auto-focus on stills or not? I've heard people that says it's great to use autofocus on stills. I never use auto-focus my self.

WTF is "ambiance" supposed to mean?
The Ambiance control is a special type of contrast that controls the balance of light in a photo. It can be used to balance backlit photos or to accentuate contrasts throughout your photo. Swipe right for photos where the subject is darker than the background. Swipe left to increase the contrast of dark objects and create a slight glow around darker objects. This is especially helpful in photos that are slightly flat.
