My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

I tell everyone I know... buy once, cry once. If you buy a product with no reputation, you might come out good you might not. Finding out when you need it most what you get isn't what you want. If you guy from a company with a great reputation, you SOMETIMES might get a lemon, but they've got the clout and service to make it right. What a pain to start! Definitely feel the carb is dumping fuel... Can't believe you're saying it's over 90cc and it bogged down like that. I own Stihl's for a reason... Great video!

Why purchase a Stihl MS500i for $1,509.99 plus tax 24” bar, when if you’re using it professionally they’ll only give you a 3 month warranty? And no chance of doubling it with oil purchase. That’s the issue. Overpriced. If it fails on the 100th day it’s your lemon now. If you’re savvy enough to go through a clone when you get it and address issues it’s still at a much better price point.

Funny how other reviewers really like the NEO TEC 892, yet I can tell you are going to always like the high priced name brands and give bad reviews to the more affordable clones. You will tinker with them until they do not work right ,then do a bad review video.

Started using Echo in the 90s saw. Very pleasant experience. Have a 490 about four years old. Beats a stihl. Just like Honda Motors they are easy to start and hold up.

Your the only one on you tube with bad reviews on these saws it doesn’t seem like your biased or have an agenda at all

If I set any of my Stihls or Stihl clones down for even just a few minutes, they need to be choked to run again. Not saying this was absolutely your problem with the junk saw... But maybe?

I love my MS440. Even after an unfortunate mishap where it was driven over by my tractor. Runs perfect all of the time.

I’ve got the NS892. Had it a little over a year. Is the easiest starting saw I have. 3 pulls out of the box to get first pop off. Have several Stihls and a couple Huskies. Have had none of the problems this one has. Obviously Quality Control is lacking on the component level. (Carburetor, muffler). Shipping damages-none, came with foam insulation in the box, very well protected. Holtzforma on the other hand came in bubble wrap. Maybe my NeoTec was their first best effort.

I have several Stihls, big fan. A friend bought a Timber Wolf this summer, nice solid saw, I was impressed.

I'm 62, been a small engine lover for life, my CS 590 is built. I got that NEO TEC 892 with 3/4 wrap handle & 36 bar. I use rubber motor mount to help them shaky AV springs.

Your videos are great. I appreciate the length you go to to show the inside of what you’re doing. I used an old video to clean out the spark arrestor on my little echo and my big Stihl. Thanks so much.

I love my Timber Wolf. I switched all my equipment to Echo's and think it's the best decision I've made in a long time. Thanks for what you do.

I was using a underpowered saw before getting the echo 590. It does the work with half the effort

I run 40 year old Stihls and the are still working great. Plenty of run time but not commercial, rebuilt one carb a few years ago. Money well spent many moons ago.

I think it's the same as anything, you get what you pay for. I stick with my 2020 Stihl MS290 and 25 year old Husqvarna Rancher. Thanks for the videos, you do a great job, I've learned a lot from you and was recently able to replace the chain tensioner gears in my Stihl without needing to take it in to the shop and ask the guys for help. Thanks from an Australian 🇦🇺 fan for helping me be a more independent saw owner 🙂

Seeing you try to start that NS892, reminded me of the STIHL that my Dad gave to me a few years ago. Lost it out the back of my truck one day, when I forgot to raise the tailgate. My Dad said it was the best thing that could be done to that saw.

I have a Husqvarna 455 that I bought about 20 years ago and a small Echo I inherited when my Daddy passed away. Both will start on the second or third pull. I don’t have time for a piece of junk that I have to work on every time I use it. Great video!
