It should have been like the Atoms recorder without screen (Forgot the name) in a new for factor. That is, it can record all the pro formats and then use the phone as a screen and sending to social media or share on the likes of FrameIO etc. 1080p can be good for backup but no more as a pro format and at 400 USD, it is only 200 USD than a fully featured Ninja.
I don't get it. Cheap 4k uncompressed UVC capture devices work on iOS right now, why would this use compressed HD only?? I guess it's 10bit and maybe offloads some of the processing of encoding prores? I also wonder if it makes sense to use phone displays at full brightness all day long, they might overheat or be prone to burn in? I guess we'll see... This seems to really be banking on prores HD being a uniquely important recording format since you can already record or stream compressed HD from HDMI to phones easily with cheap devices that are much much cheaper.
Can you turn off internal recording on the phone and just stream, (for those of us who have the 256GB iPhone) and won’t have space to run a multi hour live stream ?
Doesnt accsoon do nearly the same thing for 1/3 the price? You can also already use cheap $10 USB UVC HD capture devices on Android and iPadOS (and probably iOS?) right now from what I understand.
@@gusthecanonrebel the accsoon seemo does it. I've used those cheapo HDMI capture dongles in Android and the latest iPadOS, actually I haven't tested iOS since I don't have an iOS device with USBC but they may work if iPadOS has it...
Should have h265 UHD. The usb-c can handle that. Creators want 4K / UHD. Maybe the next version.
+1 for that!
Usb-c can handle 4K60 PRORES

Wonder if this could be used just as a viewer for my Sigma FP without attaching a battery to the NP but instead USB-C power from camera or V-Power.
Ridiculous pricing.
Can I Control the names of the Clips via iPhone Atomos App and have Automatic numbering for takes in a scene? Because thats a pain in camera
what about phone over heating?

Yes.
$399 or get the Shinobi
Android (S23 Ultra) Version or compatibility?! :D
Very cool idea. That’s perfect for me.
All Bullshit !, there's nothing better than a dedicated monitor to do the job right. Jeremy keeps on taking your money to party like it's 1999.😅
This is gonna be big for the mobile live stream market

The difference between this and the seemo is this one can record in 10-bit format and the seemo does 8-bit at h264 1080p only
Hello, we are also in NAB, how can I contact you to make a video?
