I've been a painter for two decades now. Epoxy cures/dries incredibly hard. It is TOUGH ! If it is ever anything but perfect, it was applied incorrectly. This is beautiful, and I suspect many of the commenters aren't aware how durable an epoxy floor is. Paint has came a very very long way! Good paint is like painting with liquid plastic, good epoxy.....liquid steel ! LOL

I love shiny floors, always used a product called "Clear" on cushion floor, made it look like glass, this Epoxy stuff is a dream come true. Wouldn't want much furniture in this house, would spoil the look of the floor, ha ha.

Spiked Shoes allow the ability to walk on top of epoxy.

OMG!! this is just fab!! what a beaut place was the owner really happy?? my hubby has been in the paint buisness 40 years and when he comes home i will make him watch this! we were putting down white tiles in our front room but this is soooooo much better, will it work white? glitter too lol i cant stop watching its so addictive im in the uk never seen a floor like it and i love something different!! thanks again for the idea!

i was a little skeptical when this was being applied on how the finished product would look, but wow, im very impressed. ive seen alot of stained concrete jobs and this totally blows that out of the water. very nice. what is the up keep on something like this? and would it ever need to be refinished?
Proper maintenance would be to apply a sealer every 6 months.

Yes, it's the same process. You would need to lay down a floor stencil that is perforated and then install epoxy as normal.

I have seen both used to mix. The drill will provide more consistency in mixing, however.

You said something earlier in the video about black soled shoes scuffing the floor? This same floor would be scuffed easily by car tires then, wouldn't it? I'm just curious. I love the looks of it and would actually probably enjoy doing this as a personal business.
Scuff marks occur when people drag their feet. You will not get tire marks and if you're interested in doing this is as business and we have a 3-day course February 13th 14th and 15th for $895.

Epoxy is perfect for high trafficked areas, making it scratch resistant, amongst other things.

Our clear epoxy kits are $150 for 3 gallons. This kit will cover between 375-450 SF. When adding in color and metallic pigments, each packet covers 45-50SF. Recommended 2 pigment packets per kit. Yes, a marble look and feel can be accomplished with epoxy coatings. Marble would be more expensive. Epoxy is a self leveling coating, while marble is a solid rock, essentially.

We have special spiked shoes that allow us to walk on epoxy coatings without leaving any marks while we design the flooring.
They are jesus sandals that allow them to walk on top.

Once the epoxy has been cured and sealed, it's not slippery at all. Epoxy is ideal for highly trafficked areas.

Epoxy is a great product. I have work somewhere where they used epoxy on jewellery products such as necklace and rings etc. But I must say the floor was sooooo amazing
