- One day, a stray cat came to our door meowing very loudly. He was clearly asking for help.

On February 25, 2017 a stray cat came to our door, meowing very loudly. His left rear leg was injured. We took him to the vet. The vet examined the cat and took X-Rays. She said there was no bone damage in the left rear leg and that probably some other cat bit him in the leg and the wound got infected, hence the swelling. She also said there were some old wounds on the left side of his body and a bone fracture in his left front leg which probably happened weeks ago, hence the limping. But it had started to heal. The vet started the antibiotic treatment and gave him some medication for internal and external parasites because there were lots of fleas and ticks on him ( Like he didn't have enough problems. Damn you blood-sucking parasites!). The cat stayed at the clinic for two nights. On February 27, I went to the clinic again.
After the cleansing, I took him home. And we continued the antibiotic treatment, we gave him intramuscular injections two times a day for 5 days. At first he couldn't put any weight on his left rear leg.
I cleansed the wound with antiseptics 3 times a day. He cleansed the wound with his tongue 30 times a day.
Then he started to run.
At the end of the five-day treatment, we went to the vet again. She said the wound looked fine and we stopped the antibiotics. The cat was ready to go outside because it was March and it was very difficult to keep him indoors so we let him out. Now he lives in our garden with other cats.

Hello, Walter, and thank you for following up on this one. I almost started crying immediately when I heard her cries, because it's just so obvious that she was in trouble. Now I need your help. I'm totally blind. I'm about to listen to this entire video to see if there's any audible description here, but in future videos, it would be a huge hel to be able to read the description, because I'm completely on my own and have nobody to read what's actually "inside" the video. Of course, I can read comments like the one I'm typing or someone else has typed here in this section, and I can read the description, but if there's text as in an image, there's no way my assistive technology, JAWS, can read what's imbedded in the video.
I do know now that it's a he, but it would truly benefit me to know just what happened, so I can figure out if there's anything I can do to help. It's just so good to see more people coming on board here on TH-cam who are willing to help our friends the animals.

These people have another cat, I guess the wounded cat 'was told' by that cat he can ask for help. It has already been proven many mammals are clever and have pretty advanced language, even some birds are now proven very intelligent and being able to give specific information to each other. I don't see why cats wouldn't, as a person who grew up with cats and I've been living with them for 28 years, it is obvious for me their language is advanced enough to give detailed information on many things.
Not every human helps some abandoned animals...

@@SH-ig7wt how many cats have u saved? It takes 1/2 second to record from ur phone. It probably didn’t start as a TH-cam video. Maybe their first thought was to document the cat needed help if the owner tried to say they stole it. Or they had the vision to know they could share a journey to inspire others, put good in peoples hearts when 90% of the crap out there isn’t real.

In 2018 I came upon a headon accident 2 lane highway in the country . I parked on top of the hill. Both cars at bottom. A man on each side of the crash just standing. . Smoke billowing out of engine in young woman’s suv in middle of road. Cars turning around . No one wanting involvement. I start walking down (since the 2 men were just standing there). I had a perfect vantage point as I’m walking down, I think this is gonna end up in court so I hit record as I’m walking. Not up high, just at my waist discreetly. Not trying to zoom in. Just showing exactly where both vehicles were. I walk behind vehicle to get license plate and maybe find out owner and notify family much sooner than otherwise would. I held The young lady’s head waiting on medics. Feeling the pulse dropping. She was pretty much dead as medics fireman myself used jaws of life and got her out of car. She was gone I’m sure as lifeflight flew away. I didn’t do anything most people would do. I did blame myself even though there was nothing I could do. But what I got was ridiculed , hated on, I was a scumbag piece of crap. I also got acute ptsd and it wrecked my life so bad because I never got treatment cuz I was making it up. Y? Cuz I shot the video walking to the accident. And the comment blaming myself? My ex used that to tell people I must have caused accident and that’s y the girl was dead
If I seem harsh on ur comment , I’m a little sensitive of anyone criticizing people on their reactions when they weren’t there, or in their head
Usually when they are sick or injured they hide until they get better or die if it's bad enough
There is a special place in heaven for people who help animals in need.
And a special place in hell for those who abuse them.

I remember how ten years ago I found a little kitty in the neighbour's yard. Ten years later he is still temporarily with us.
LOL. I also have a few stray cats that are "temporarily" with us. Some of them 5-6 yrs!!!! They came, we fed them, got them fixed, they moved in and wa-la this is now their home.

They had other cats as stated in the video so they obviously had enough money to spend on the vet. wizkid1594 I agree! My roomie was feeding stray kittens in the back yard last summer, when one kitty went MIA. The kitty somehow was severely injured, but she used every ounce of strength she had to make it under the fence and back onto the porch. Her back thigh had a huge hole in it and the leg was dangling. I scooped the kitten up and held her tightly to my chest as my friend raced us to the vet.The baby was stabilized, but an expensive amputation was necessary. We found a cheaper clinic that usually only did spaying/neutering and told the normal vet (where my roomie has spent >$30K on strays over the past decade) we couldn't afford it. Shockingly, the vets held a meeting and decided to donate the surgery, but any meds would have to be paid for. Today the 3 legged kitty runs and plays w other rescued indoor kitties and seems to not know she is in any way different (except that she is more loving and playful). Based on the debris, dried blood, and weight loss, it seems like it took her a long time to get to our yard, but her struggle paid off and we get to give her kissies every day.
Now I'm crying again. That's amazing and beautiful and pure and good. I just get emotional when it comes to animals, it's so bad. I have to turn off the tv when the ASPCA commercials come on, or else I'll end up in a corner cradling my elderly dog and crying about how she's lucky to have it so good and other animals aren't.
In all seriousness though, that's awesome. I typically have a low opinion of the human race in general, but whenever I read a story like this or see a video like this, it reminds me that sometimes people are beautiful.

@@naomicheryl666 in my neighborhood, just scabies. As soon as I can catch it, I pour vegetable oil on its entire body. The bugs will die. Three days later, its fur will fall. Two weeks later, it will fully recovered.

Reminds me of my cat who had a huge swell on his right rear leg causing him to limp. It was dripping blood and pus nonstop and he had a fever. We couldn't take him to the vet because we live in a small town that has no vet. The nearest vet was 4 and a half hour drive. I was not able to convince my mom and dad to bring the cat there as we could not afford the trip. So i grab a glove and drain out the pus. He was crying so bad from the pain but he was purring and didn't bite me, instead he bit any nearby objects. I fed him homemade wet cat food because he would not eat anything else. Everytime he would disappear somewhere and i would find him behind furnitures and dark places probably waiting to die. About 3 weeks after, the cat started walking again and being happy. No medicines, cats are great at healing themselves. What i did was motivate him and help him regain strength, eventually he healed himself. Cats are amazing

CLVNES FILIÆ PARVVLÆ FINDAM what a sad way to see the world. There’s a lot more to this world than our five senses :) the cat knew where to go. Cats especially are very intuitive. Maybe one day, you’ll see.

A year ago a white and black cat came to my home .He was bitten in the front legs by wolfs and he was asking for help.Wwe took him to the vet and after he told as what to do we took him home .We were thinking to keep him while he was healing but after he got healed we try to let him go but he didn't want.I admit that while he was recovering I started loving him very mutch.So in the end my parents let me keep him .Now he is fine and his name is Jeffery

I have a family of cats in my backyard too. Love them so much
Me too, i have a big family of cat living in my yard (over 10). They are all beautiful, sweet, innocent and have their own personality. People always stop to see them and pet them. It would be nice if they could be adopted, but i can't let any of them go. I feel they are my children. So I keep feeding them, making sure they have a confortable place to sleep in the winter. They seem happy to be all together.
