I have to say that her fight scenes really look good. She has the speed, strength and coordination to do her own stunts. She also has that undefined "something" in her physical movement that makes the fighting work and not rely on editing to make the fight scenes believable.
If the guy with the knife had bum-rushed her there would have been trouble; what I would have done was give the actress a boot with a knife in the toe, a real surprise, but kept it secret from the audience, they wouldn't even have seen the shit she pulled on him so they wouldn't walk-out when they realize that'd been done before.
I relate more to Spyglass and not like Lorraine because Spyglass just stands there not doing much and Lorraine does the stunts that ends her with being all fucked up with a black eye.
The stunt actors are incredible. I was blown away by that guy stumbling down the stairs with the bullet in his stomach. It’s such an incredible display of acting prowess when they are able to move in a way that is so visceral, impulsive, and so so convincing. Stunt actors deserve way more credit and recognition, because that is acting that takes just as much skill as any other typical acting, in addition to putting their bodies on the line (to an extent).
Absolutely brilliant film I was ashamed that it didn't get the attention it deserves I wanted too watch it when it was in cinemas, but was unable too until know
I’m assuming John Wick is modern day set up. Atomic blonde was set during the collapse of Berlin Wall era. I mean it would be awesome if they’ll be able to do that. The story should be interesting.
Hopefully, maybe seeing her as an aged spy running her replacement. However, in Charlize's new movie the Old Guard, where she's an immortal warrior through time now a modern spy, in the end credits where they show pictures of her involvement in past history. "Andy" Charlize's character can be seen in a photo in Berlin '89 where she's looks just like Lorraine Broughton or "Satchel" after she died her hair brown and restyled it for the final scene. Both movies were based on graphic novels. So technically Lorraine Broughton was a triple agent as well as immortal!
Charlize Theron is such a badass actress. She Really looks like a Female version of John Wick. The way she fight looks like she trained hard. And atleast she didn't killed them for only a *DOG*
What makes this movie great is the action scenes that made the character so more believable, having been made in one shot, showed the real abilities of Charlize Theron. Unfortunate that I did not see any high kick, which is the coolest.
Cristiano Furquim Bianchini maybe she can't do high kicks, I mean she is just an actress (although she is brilliantly talented) and I'm guessing they require a lot of strength and flexibility
smilesyoufake13, Hello, she is very good at making high kicks, she is very flexible. Watch Aeon Flux or search for images in google Charlize Theron flexibility. She's a complete actress.
Talent that has been little used. Even if she was not flexible enough, for the millions who win the actors should have the same concern she has when making her characters. Why do they always have to stay in their comfort zone?
4:49 The leather jacket stuntman's stair fall stunt is still only one shot & no cuts. For a safe approach, someone will kick a stuntman. Then it cuts to the stuntman falling down stairs. I wonder what body armor he's wearing though.
Amazing movie and actress/ actors, was kinda happy to see my old russian car in it haha, laughed like crazy in the cinema. P.S. It has never started from the first time! :D So I was kinda surprised. And!!! lol we don't drink so much vodka, I'd say 70% of people have no time to drink at all, maybe on weekends only. Anyway, I loved it. How Charlize fought was really brilliant, didn't expect she could do such crazy things! Perfect and amazing at the same time. Thank you for movie!
Enduro Girl some people said the movie wasn't good I haven't seen it yet so I don't know how the movie it going to turn out to be in the storyline in the movie
Mckenzie Johnson the movie had a messy story telling n had too many twists n motives of the characters started to make less sense... that is what I've heard from reviews.. n there's not as many actions as thw trailers shows.. all u see in the trailer is that in the movie.. its less action n more of a espionage movie that relies on the plot which unfortunately wasn't very good apperantly
Tiki80 I personally love the plot twists and that the story was more intellectual than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise for me. Whilst the way it's cut does make it slightly confusing, it's honestly not that hard to understand once you really think about it properly. And I think that the action scenes were brilliantly executed and actually more powerful because it's not just jam packed with them, but don't go to see it expecting just an action movie with basically no storyline. My main criticism is the lack of Lorraine's character development and the soundtrack was a little bit weird, the songs were all great but just really misplaced and pretty loud, but overall I actually really liked this movie.
maybe you're right! just I didn't expect much from any movies at all. It really has no storyline, but anyway, it's interesting to watch. I've watched Valerian and wasn't impresses of this movie at all, don't know why. Movies mostly have same scenery which one we already know, so nothing to expect
Those battle scenes look great and that capturing the period atmosphere is great a few flaws there but otherwise it's a great adrenaline rush from start to finish with a kick-start shot and on top of that with the great Charlize Theron 🥰😍🌹💖🌟
just a glimpse at 3:54! that's it??!! can someone who have seen the movie tell me if Bill skarsgard has more than one scenes in the movie with dialogues or not?? anyone?
It's so regrettable that you had the idea of making Charlize Theron use Jiu Jitsu moves and only that, believing it would be more believable on stage: a woman being able to take down a man in that way. Anyone who knows Jiu Jistsu knows that a woman would use much more strength to knock a man down with a Jiu Jitsu blow than with a kick to the face. When we see a fight scene with Charlize Theron or Jennifer Garner we want to see them do the high kicks, which are beautiful to see. It's so disappointing to see the direction that action films are taking, the audience is at the mercy of the pleasure of producers and filmmakers, it's no wonder films like this haven't attracted attention.
problem with these types of action films today is that the fight/shooting sequences are too slick/ choreographed, resulting in the opposite effect which is: unrealistic, or worse, like dancing/hyper pantomine. 70s action films have a raw sense and feel far more visceral with far less choreography...hence far more believable.
I have to say that her fight scenes really look good. She has the speed, strength and coordination to do her own stunts. She also has that undefined "something" in her physical movement that makes the fighting work and not rely on editing to make the fight scenes believable.

It helps that Theron is not a small women. She is nearly 5' 10".

@@harrywilliamson7043 177 cm attraktive and fit body. Nice
There’s a couple of cheats where she uses a double, but the majority of the super long scenes is all Charlize.

The action always comes off as more realistic when the actor/actresses is doing the majority of their stunts.
It's McGhee that not stunt
One of the extras smirked when they opened their umbrella and all I know about Germany is that there isn't much funny.
Alexander Walle hahahahaha
admire Theron's work ethic
best fight sceans I have seen. Charline was awesome.. hope to see another one.
I don't know about Charline? But Charlize is awesome
This is a great action movie y'all, a bit gory for most. She does her own stunts and fighting, wow!
Some of the best and most convincing stunts I’ve ever seen along with Hardcore Henry. Brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant film I was ashamed that it didn't get the attention it deserves I wanted too watch it when it was in cinemas, but was unable too until know
I just hope Atomic Blonde is in the same Universe of John Wick and one day they'd crossover

@@TheRealAdaWong or they clone to be the new one, yet still original memory
Ughh that would be such a cool way to bring her back
seeing this now is funny cause Bill Skarsgård was in Atomic Blonde and now he’s in John Wick 4. now I’m just picturing how a crossover would go 😂😂
such epic soundtrack, fashion, story and fight scenes! Love this film!! A work of art for a to z

the high heels ?
Where high tae kondo kicks, for God, do not know how difficult it is to find such an accomplished actress that they miss the opportunity.
Where in the world do they get the B-roll from?!
Sensacional.
I salute Charlize Theron. She did almost all her sunts herself. Not such a wimp these days.

Strange... they edit the bits with her stunt double....

It's a movie, not a real life documentary. Not everything has to be realistic.
You mean it was fake?
