Levis wasn’t a dude that got everything handed to him, he was a 3 star recruit, sat on the bench at Penn State for years and then had to transfer to historically one of the worst schools in the SEC just to get a chance to start in college. The guy played behind one of the worst offensive lines in football, and played through injury all of last year because of that. If you don’t like his game that’s fine, but it’s really lame to just make up stuff about a guy you know nothing about.
He needed this imo and I think the teams interested knew this as well. Willing to take the risk and let him fall in hopes you can grab him after hes been "humbled". Jmo
Another issue is there are way too many guys showing up as well. It felt like back in the day there was 6 to 10 guys now it feels like theres 20 guys there.

What’s Florio taking about with JSN? Dude was best OSU wide receiver with Garret Wilson and Olave there. This was said by CJ Stroud and multiple others. “Even though he’s not a number 1 receiver”. Just weird side point to make in this segment.

I like Will Levis. He has a great arm and he was 22/23 in short yardage situations. He is a baller! That ball comes out like a laser beam. He might be the best thrower of the football in this entire draft. He reads defenses pretty well too.
They said it best on ABC coverage last night..go off his 2021 tape he looked like a sure fire too 5 pick..go off his 2022 pick he doesn’t even look like a first or second rounder.
He's not a 1st rounder and yet a guy with a 53% completion rate went top 5!!! I think the agent got bamboozled by teams trying to play games with each other over which QB they were taking. And I think Indy just took a likely bust with their pick.
@High Rofellos Richardson going 4th is baffling. He got hyped up, too, as the draft got closer. I felt he and Levis were day 2 picks, but the Colts reached because they're qb cursed and want to start fresh.
Oh poor guy. He will earn millions and "work" with what he loves for 2 decades probably. And he had to sit 1 day for nothing? Poor poor guy. I bet that was still a better experience then sitting home just. Cry..
The GOAT Tom Brady was the 199th pick. Not going 1st round is not career ending or even bad. Jamarcus Russell was a 1st round pick and look what happened. Lets keep it in perspective. The old quote "hard work beats talent, when talent doesnt work hard", always rings true.
It’s so obvious that most of these commentators don’t do any of their own research on these guys. They get all of their information “second hand” via other commentators who also don’t do research. This creates a perpetual loop or sound board and solidifies a false narrative. I watched ever throw / run from Levis this year and it’s so obvious (to even an armchair scout like me) why this guy isn’t a 1st or 2nd round talent. Although NFL scouts and management wiff on players at times, all 32 teams made a statement regarding Levi’s yesterday: he’s not a 1st round talent. To me, he’s a reach in the 3rd round and you can get good value if you pick him round 4-7 depending on your teams situation. As a 49ers fan, I know that we can use depth at QB. I wouldn’t be mad if they took Levis bottom of the 3rd, top of the 4th considering his upside is that of a game manager.
I totally agree. The hype train is ridiculous and obvious to me too. He should’ve known it to be honest since he is the one going through it. Or his agent should’ve known
Dan Fouts was picked in the 3rd Round, as was Russell Wilson. Tom Brady got picked in the 6th Round, Bart Starr in the 15th, and John Unitas in the 19th. Its about how it ends, not how it begins.

From what I've been hearing about Levis (and I have no idea how accurate it is) it sounds like he has a king size attitude and the agent may have set the floor and maybe Levis just didn't listen.
I'm a bit surprised no one traded up to 30-31 to take him for the 5th year of control. But yea, his agent definitely eff'ed up lol. I understand the point that drafts are a fluid thing but if you're not a 1000% sure he gets picked then don't have him attend.

What ESPN’s analytic model essentially said was it would be a major surprise if Levis somehow fell out of the first round. Didn’t hear anything different from the old school football talking heads either. They too thought it was all but certain he’d be picked in round 1. I can’t find a single published mock draft that doesn’t have him in the top 10, let alone out of round 1.
ESPN dunked on Levis when he started to drop. One of them even started talking about how GMs thought he was an arrogant prick, and that's why he was falling. Perhaps falling out of the first round sitting in the green room all night will be the experience that humbles him, or he'll just go Full Ryan Leaf.
ESPN is just completely WOKE and they chose not to be honest and objective. They didn't want to be accused of any white supremacy theories and chose to promote a guy who is physically fit enough to play, but doesn't have the maturity or the mental capacity to understand the complex defenses that will be thrown at him. Don't be surprised if they start him early and he ends up like JaMarcus Russell.

Chris Simms is a tough tough listen, damn
Possibly the first time Levis has not got what he wanted in many long years. He was ready to throw a tantrum.
Dude lost the QB battle to sean clifford 🤣
@@blueshadow8071 Happens to other players all of the time.

Levis will be selling insurance within the next 3-5 years.
Indeed. ESPN’s analytics. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who takes him now?
Patriots
Maybe the Pats. Green Bay needs a guy. Maybe the Texans.
GB maybe?
He needed this imo and I think the teams interested knew this as well. Willing to take the risk and let him fall in hopes you can grab him after hes been "humbled". Jmo

@@dennisligma4958 that's what's great about opinions huh?
Another issue is there are way too many guys showing up as well. It felt like back in the day there was 6 to 10 guys now it feels like theres 20 guys there.
These 2 clueless said he would get pick and second or fourth in the first round
Yeah but they were right with their value We will see
This reminds me of Joe Thomas's interview with Graham Bensinger...
He only threw for more than 200 yards in one SEC game and lead the league in interceptions… I mean cmon he’s only got himself to blame
I wish the camera had been on him more. He deserved it. I mean, he needs to camera on him so much that he will do it himself if nobody else will (bathroom selfies lol!).
To be a football player on KENTUCKY and have some very clear not-muscle related issues and then beat about your biceps and how amazing you are...
He's arrogant and can't read the room. How's that going to play in a locker room? So glad he had to eat his humble pie. Would have loved to see him still there in the 4th round.
Seems more and more there’s about 10 players left in the Green Room for Day 2. Their Agents and People should do better. Love the players that don’t go to all the hoopla and spend w Family and friends in their communities
Jalen Hurts fell to 53 …he fell to a great organization that has the best O line I ever seen…..this could be a blessing in disguise for Will or Hendon.
Will wasn't half the player Jalen was in Bama. Hendon is 25 years old.
@@spearofconquest Jalen got benched at Alabama dum dum. Also yes hooker is older but you’re getting maturity day 1.
Those 22 TD 13 int seasons Levi’s will put up will be a bit more palatable as a second round pick
The Draft analysts are the ones who set all of this up! Him dropping to the Titans is actually better for him. Instead of going to a team that is unstable and is switching Coaches every two years.
Doesn't matter what Levis and his family heard or thought, nobody made them show up. They could have stayed home.
What’s Florio taking about with JSN? Dude was best OSU wide receiver with Garret Wilson and Olave there. This was said by CJ Stroud and multiple others. “Even though he’s not a number 1 receiver”. Just weird side point to make in this segment.
He's gonna fall into McVay's lap and have a wonderful career
Actually I'm doubling down and betting he's a Ram... perfect fit in LA.... good call Cheeto.
He won't be a good NFL QB..
He will be a hell of a lot better than Richardson. He will set the Colts back a decade.
@@PutTheLimeInTheCoconut maybe so but ... I'd kick the tires now on a dude who was used and told your top 5 pick material... and how about you back up for a few years the guy we have who's declining... and in LA... where your box office automatically if you think your good.
@@davidmitchell6873 you bugging colts just gotta build him up a bit, hooker way better then will
This is just like last year with Malik falling in the draft. Also how does Zach Wilson and Anthony Richardson get picked in the top 4????????
Reality Check for this athlete.... He was oversold...
I like Will Levis. He has a great arm and he was 22/23 in short yardage situations. He is a baller! That ball comes out like a laser beam. He might be the best thrower of the football in this entire draft. He reads defenses pretty well too.
He needs to just quit football. And sell sell feet/rim vids
He didn't against Vanderbilt. Stop make excuse he's not that guy
I'm trying to figure out how people thought he was 1st round material. Guy is day 2 quality at best.
Because that's what ESPN's analytics said. More numerical nonsense.
This is the Mel keiper effect right here. This man hyped him up hard and I think his agent went with that
Oh poor guy.
I thought it was hilarious. Nice gun pics in the bathroom! Haha
Very well said but will Levis is not on the level of any of the qbs you mention above lol
@@Jai.P91 NO one thought any of the others were either pre draft. In the case of Fouts, he didn't show a lot until his 5th year. No one had even heard of Starr or Unitas in college and few had heard of Brady....199th overall pick in the 6th Round.
From what I've been hearing about Levis (and I have no idea how accurate it is) it sounds like he has a king size attitude and the agent may have set the floor and maybe Levis just didn't listen.
Simms saying he would be shock if he got pick early is hilarious like even on madden u would draft a round 1 rated qb early in the second round 😂😂
I never could figure out the hype around him
reminds me of the Trubisky hype in a way
@@therealjoshuacaleb4873
That’s fair
Difference is the bears are idiots
I'm a bit surprised no one traded up to 30-31 to take him for the 5th year of control. But yea, his agent definitely eff'ed up lol. I understand the point that drafts are a fluid thing but if you're not a 1000% sure he gets picked then don't have him attend.
Mike Florio is the best. Thanks, Mike.
And no, this is not a burner account.
Florio has a good point at the end. Talk about nonsense analytics from ESPN.
I had no idea who he was, I thought for a second he was one of those celebrity imposters or something
I think Levis will be fine, whatever team that drafts him in this round can now have him sit without the pressure of having to play him in year 1.
I don't understand the beef .... Options: Go or stay home. Its a choice and TO ME the agent has nothing to do with it because it is up to the player to attend or not.
For Levis and Hooker minor set back for a major comeback happened to Geno Smith
I'm not sure that they will be given almost a decade to get it together like Geno Smith was given.
@@TheBenedictchan1 aye you never know w/ the draft
I feel bad for the guy. thats like getting dressing up for a date you been looking forward to, and the date doesn't show up. you look and feel like a fool for being there.
If the draft was in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami or even Nashville at least Levis Family could go out, drink, blow off steam. But wasting a trip to Kansas City?!- that reason alone, I'd FIRE my agent!
Kudos to Brian Branch staying to greet the boss on stage in the second round. Everyone else bolted like spoiled babies.
Johnny Manzel of the 2023 draft, everyone bought into the hype.
Did you watch manziel in college??????? He had hype for a reason. That was a dumb comparison

Did y’all feel this way when Lamar waited ?
Simms did. He's been in Lamar's corner since before that draft. I'm not sure about Florio
Lamar waited bc teams weren’t ready for his style of play and they still don’t like it. Levis waited bc he ain’t that good tape proves it too.
Lol people fall for this shit every year. He was a media hype and his tape isnt first round. I took the under at $100 for QBs taken in the first. Easiest money ive ever made
Can’t really use this as an example of bad analytics (plenty of those to pick from).
Judging by what he had sitting beside him I'm sure he had a great night after the draft booyaa
