You know the funny part about that is the fans and draft analysts have been more right than the people who are paid to scout and draft these players for Houston. How is it that numerous scouts are telling everyone he has all the ability in the world to be a starter and a really good- elite QB in the NFL yet Houston on the other saying they don’t believe in him? That’s ok because the colts get him and they stomp them for years to come. The system is QB friendly and doesn’t require him to be the hero of the offense. CJ Stroud should be the #1 pick. No ifs, ands or buts. If any team gets him after #1, it’s a steal & a blessing. He’s a taller, bigger, stronger arm, more mobile version of Bryce. I don’t get it. Can make every throw, has all the arm angles, is more mobile than people realize. Can read the defense & is smart as you’d want your QB to be. I don’t get how he’s falling.
Yo it's lying season and Jimmy Irsay and the colts want CJ at 4 they have muddied the waters from Indy in the hopes that CJ will slide down to them, I just don't think it works but Shane and the boys in Indy still end up with AR-15 or possibly Hooker and he absolutely can coach either of those boys up into good QBs.
This thing about Stroud "flunking" the S2 test has me puzzled. He seems so pro ready like Joe Burrow was. Hope the Colts perform due diligence in grading Stroud to become a Colt.
The reason why it looks like he's so pro ready is because he has HOF wide receivers in college. Great 1st round talent at WR in Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr, Chris Olave, JSN and Emeka Ebuka with the nations best college O-line makes it easier to process the field. Of course it seems like he's pro ready, all Ohio State QB's look like they are pro ready but if every receiver on the field are always open for every read, all the QB has to do is choose the easiest pass to complete.
it's so weird that literally nothing has happened since his pro day. A pro day that blew the world away, and now he's potentially falling from a lock at number 1 to who knows where. The nil is weird.
To be fair, Pro Day's mean nothing. What has happend is that everyone thought he was going to the Panthers. Now with the Panthers looking like they are taking Young and Texans talking about not taking a QB then that just kick starts a narrative that he is falling and people want to know why. So some teams are capitalizing on it throwing around some dirt on him.
They're basing alot on the S2 cognition test (which in my opinion doesn't have enough validity) results. I still thing he's less injury prone than bryce young.
Imagine them getting edge rusher at #2 & CB at #12. They still have the #33 pick, two more in the 3rd rd and also the 104th. They can add alot of talent if they get it right. Plus they have 2 more picks in the 1st rd next year, plus more additional picks, and that class seems to have better QBs.
Amobi Okoye, Travis Johnson, and Jason Babin were all busts at D line for the Texans. Mario Williams and Clowney were arguably disappointing prospects. Only JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus lived up to or exceeded expectations, and it took Mercilus several seasons to get there

Stroud had all the gifts hopefully he ends up with the Seahawks or colts if the commanders were smart they’d trade up to get him and tell Ron Rivera to get the hell out the way
Stroud has major issues. Houston would be foolish to draft him when they have so many future picks. Arizona needs talent and the best defender available.
You don't plan on winning the lottery. That would be stupid. So saying you can pick a QB anywhere in the draft including the last pick and have it work out for you is just stupid.
The ONLY real negative facing Stroud, is the very unhappy history of QB's in the NFL, from Ohio State, UCLA, USC, & Notre Dame. All 4 schools have a spotty record with QB's in the NFL. that's the issue for CJ Stroud. Look at Duane Haskins------Art Schlicter--------& now, Justin Fields. Stroud has that much going against him. ----------------MJL, 76 y/o
So what exactly is the Manning QB camp? Is it a reality show? Is it a camp that will make a QB better? If it is both then I can see why anyone wouldn't favor attending. If CJ skipped this camp so that he could spend more time with his team, then I would say that he is making the right choice.
we all know 49ers wanted Mac Jones before having a change of heart at midnight and going with Trey Lance, now they have former 49ers head coach and believe QB coach as his offensive coordinator..... here's a crazy idea, Texans trade for Patriots for Mac Jones along with some other high picks compensation and Patriots take CJ Stroud, I think the profile of QB Bill Belichek wants, which he had in Tom Brady, great accuracy, tall, pocket passer, great touch, excels at medium and short passes but can go long is as close to CJ Stroud as any other QB that has come out last couple years. I am not saying CJ Stroud will ever come close to being Tom Brady, but the skill set of both QB's matches pretty well.
if Seattle wants secure a QB for after Geno, and Houston OC Bobby Slowik wants to continue working with Lance Seattle trade 5 and 37 picks to Houston and move up to 2. Seattle select Cj or Young. Houston uses 5 for best player available, probably edge. 12 on the TE from Utah. 33&37 on the Alabama RB and something they need SF trade Lance to Houston for 65th pick Young #1 to Carolina CJ #2 to Seattle, he’ll have to choose a new number, being the first QB to wear 0
1. Slowik doesn’t want to work with Lance, no one does And 2. Seattle wouldn’t need to trade up to 2 to draft Stroud, he’ll be there at 5 and Seattle will still pass on him.
They have Geno Smith and they desperately need defensive players. Jalen Carter, Devon Witherspoon, Tyree Wilson, Cristian Gonzalez are players they are probably looking at.
CJ failed the acuity test with the brass probably, he definitely was rumored to have done terrible on the S2 cognition test. Young is good, I'll believe the experts on his skills, but they aren't gonna convince me about his size, even if he plays well, he is gonna meet a big hit almost every week at this level. Young didn't even win at Bama, so to knock the others for underachieving is contradictory. I think Carolina is going to shock everyone and grab Anthony Richardson. They have the staff the groom him and Tepper is desperate to fight something going here. Richardson may not be plug and play, but he absolutely has the tools to make a special player, just needs the environment. I may be in the minority but i really can see AR15 being the #1 pick.
U should never pick a QB like him in the first round.. he has not had enough starts.. the guy is a project .. a running back with an arm..does not fit most teams game plan.. Brock is the type of a guy u want to draft .48 starts and a game manager..u have so much talent around them that u have to pay.

Stroud had all the gifts hopefully he ends up with the Seahawks or colts if the commanders were smart they’d trade up to get him and tell Ron Rivera to get the hell out the way
Sink like a stone to the colts at the number 2 pick after trading up with Houston
Stroud has major issues. Houston would be foolish to draft him when they have so many future picks. Arizona needs talent and the best defender available.
Holy mother of ads! Every 30 seconds an ad plays! I know its the off-season but c'mon man!
You don't plan on winning the lottery. That would be stupid. So saying you can pick a QB anywhere in the draft including the last pick and have it work out for you is just stupid.
3 freakin 15 sec ads in less than 5 min? Wtf! Done
I am not saying CJ Stroud will ever come close to being Tom Brady, but the skill set of both QB's matches pretty well.
if Seattle wants secure a QB for after Geno, and Houston OC Bobby Slowik wants to continue working with Lance
Seattle trade 5 and 37 picks to Houston and move up to 2. Seattle select Cj or Young.
Houston uses 5 for best player available, probably edge. 12 on the TE from Utah. 33&37 on the Alabama RB and something they need
SF trade Lance to Houston for 65th pick
Young #1 to Carolina
CJ #2 to Seattle, he’ll have to choose a new number, being the first QB to wear 0
1. Slowik doesn’t want to work with Lance, no one does
And 2.
I would be incredibly shocked if Stroud makes it to 5, but I do think you are right in saying that Seattle would pass on him.
Media can’t help but tear apart any osu qb
Ok, can we acknowledge the instrumental played at 1:16 went HARD!
Been a fan since 2002 PLEASE draft a qb!!!
I guess we're putting Brock Purdy into the Hall of Fame after one halfway decent half season.
they are putting Purdy in hall of fame because he score high on S2 cognition test… smh
I'm a Texans fan. I'm cool with Mills or Keenum. I say take the best player available
U should never pick a QB like him in the first round.. he has not had enough starts.. the guy is a project .. a running back with an arm..does not fit most teams game plan.. Brock is the type of a guy u want to draft .48 starts and a game manager..u have so much talent around them that u have to pay.
Houston would be stupid to pick a QB at #2. They can get a good QB at #12.
There is no Nick Bosa in this draft.
Whyyyy the hell would HOU trade w/IND (same division) to let IND get a QB that could beat them….?!
Brady Quinn really? How did his nfl career work out

He literally had one great game against one good team. He’s just coming back to earth because he was being massively overhyped
1. Richardson 2. Young 3. Levis 4. Stroud
Suck it haters.
Indy likes OSU players! CJ will definitely go to Indy at #2.
Lol your comment on Jameson Williams… not anymore. Bet Vikings fans are happy today
I love PFT Fridays -- no Simms.
The "Yes" man
I actually really like Sims it's that Florio is such a know-it-all who has to always always always be right that Simms knows it's just not worth pushing back very often
Very bad take by Peter King. New HC and the team should force a QB at #2 because it makes the fans happy?
Lol these top pick QBs don’t pan out that great either 😂
I like Davis mills , He really only had two years and last year he had no receivers , how can a QB be successful with no receivers and faulty oline
Don’t you think if it was untrue, both Peyton and Eli would come out and say so 🤫
It doesn’t matter either way… they aren’t running a camp in partnership with the nfl and it’s not mandatory that he goes to it… holding it against him would be stupid
Does it really matter does everyone need to kiss the Mannings behind?
The Florida Kid will be the best QB in the '23 class.
Ohio State QBs have not done well in the NFL recently.
Where's Myles? ;)
Houston will not pick him simply because he has the same agent as Watson.
Tennessee is going to take Hooker at 11. Makes too much sense.
Yall should be ashamed of urself for bad mouthing a player smh
