This is the first time i seen a cat like being in water
He's probably just used to it at this point. He appears to be some type of hairless cat, and hairless cats need to be bathed a lot more regularly than cats with fur because their lack of floof lets more dirt and oil build up. That all being said, though, he looks like he's living a life of luxury with his rubber duckie collection
They’re supposed to be bathed regularly and socialized to like or at least be tolerant of regular baths. Sounds like this guy just naturally likes it. Since they’re hairless they do enjoy being warm since they don’t have fur to insulate them so that could be another reason he enjoys bath time. It’s even recommended to put sweaters on them if your environment is colder.
i think my cat would love this. she's a regular shorthair but she's obsessed with playing with her water bowl and i have to refill it several times a day (beyond the regular refilling i would do for clean fresh water for her.) she gets insanely focused on shower/bath water. sometimes she likes to play in a shallow puddle in the tub!

It would be interesting to see how he'd react to bubbling water jets in the water. Would he stop hitting the water & just relax, watching & feeling the jets? Or would he keep slapping the water? He's obviously left-handed. Or, at least, I have yet to see him use his right paw.
He would probably have continued splashing in the water anyway, because when I make waves to him with my hand, he hits them. And he will never use his left paw in the water. 😹😻

I bet if the water was just a little lower he might not do this. I think it's him trying to sort of even himself out against the 'currents' in the tub.
There are videos with significantly less water in the bathtub. He splashes in water everywhere, in glasses of water, in pots (with cold water), in the sink, and when I water the plants.

Is this all the cat does every video, pat the water with one paw? Why don't you show anything else? Running the bath water, cat coming to watch, getting excited, jumping in? Finish of bath time, drying, show some other stuff.
