We noticed over time that we would pause at some VERY unfortunate spots, showing the actor's face or something in a hilarious moment to be frozen in. The kid covered in green paint….
    I’m the oldest & had 2 younger brothers in our family. I go out back one day & my baby brother (blonde hair blue eyes when we all are brunettes lol) who is maybe 2 years old at this point is covered in red enamel paint. Like he looks like Sissy Spacek in Carrie it’s so bad!! My middle brother had done this for fun & baby brother was going along with it. I’m horrified and start freaking out cause I’m the oldest and get blamed for everything all the time & sure enough as I’m trying to use the water from the hose pipe from the back of the house…here comes my mom and of course I got blamed. My mom LOVED to tell this story and even though my middle brother told her from that day on that I had nothing to do with it, I’m still blamed lol. I’m 51 years old now & it’s still a sore spot I swear.

      You got blamed for not watching them if you were tasked with that, and then them being unwatched doing something potentially dangerous. Not because you’re the oldest. Stop with the victim hood. I’m the eldest. I understand sibling comparison & rivalry. My mum literally calls the first boy her “sunshine”. Should you have been tasked with looking after the kids? Depends. If it’s temporary there’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone needs a break or even a second pair of eyes whilst they get on with other chores. It also helps you learn for later life when you have your own family. If you were parentified however that’s a different matter. But still, it’s up to you to decide if you’re going to let your experiences hold you back or propel you forward

    • @iChristyD
      @iChristyD 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@softscribbles I think she just thought they weren’t smart enough to find, open & actually do the deed. It wasn’t that I was supposed to be watching them. In fact I’d been down the street playing with a friend from school & they were in the backyard. They were only supposed to be playing on the swing set & not to leave the yard. My middle brother found a way to get into the tool shed & find the paint. Apparently he had been pulling part of the metal paneling part in the back corner that only a very small person could get to. My dad didn’t realize he’d been doing this till a year later.

    The last clip....wow, do I have a story. My brother Reilly is 3 years younger than me, so when he was little (maybe 1 or 2? Not really sure), I was sitting next to him while he was getting buckled into his baby car seat. I remember watching mom buckle the car seat to the seat cushion with the seatbelt and also buckling him with the car seat straps. I remember thinking _Why does he need to be buckled in twice? He already has his body strapped in. Why does the car seat need to be strapped down too?_ So I did what any 3-4 year old would do. I unclicked the seatbelt securing the car seat to the cushion. I legitimately thought I was being helpful. All was fine and good when my mom started driving. Then, the freeway onramp happened, in which the car turned a little bit at a sharper angle and my brother, still strapped into his car seat, fell off the cushion and landed, facedown, on the floor of the car. My mom is driving and she hears my brother wailing and crying and goes into panic mode (not knowing what happened). I was definitely shocked, and I learned my lesson that day 😂

    7:20 I did hear a story where two older siblings (still kids) thought it'd be funny to swap their younger newborn twins over - and waited a few days or a week or something, to tell parents- at which point parents could now tell newborns apart (they couldn't when the swap happened) - so when they swapped the babies back - the parents told them off and changed them again, kids tried to explain, but parents wouldn't listen (thinking they were following through with joke). So now only these two siblings (sisters I think) know that their younger brothers (I think) are actually the wrong way round 😂, and have been almost all their lives!!

    for the the twins in my family we would paint there nails different colors, or give different temp tattoos, or put a little dot with a sharpie on the bottom of one of there feet when they were babies so we knew who was who.

  • @HilaryHerth
    @HilaryHerth 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I work in a hospital so you can't permanently just change a twin. So when twins are born, the first one that comes out gets a dot tattooed at the bottom of their foot to prevent mixing them up. And if it's triplets and so on ... they get the number of dots in the order they come out. It's done for many reasons not just getting them switched, but most important one or more of them can have a medical condition. Hope that helps.

    When we brought our daughter home from the hospital, our son, two at the time, said. "She's beautiful." Two seconds later. "Can we bring her back now?"
    I asked, "What do you mean?"
    He said. " Return her. You know, like the clothes from Auntie that didn't fit."

    The twin thing: that's why parents give twins their own "color." Oh, Jason is always in Blue and Tyler is always in Red. It makes it easier for them to trade when they get older though, because grown-ups associate the color with the child 😂

    Is anyone else concerned about the one at 10:15 ? The way the kid just sits and stares vacantly, and the parent doesn't interact with them at all while filming. I'm not a parent but the whole thing feels really off.

    • @Splattedable
      @Splattedable 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly, and I also saw someone else point out that they'd need to be left unattended for a significant amount of time to do all that. A toddler should not just be put in a diaper and left in a cot.

      @@Splattedable. I don't like the video at all but, to be fair, it is possible that the child woke up from a nap and quietly spread their poo around without the parent even knowing s/he was awake.

    The twin toddler concern is pretty plausible, actually. I had toddler twin cousins that we would babysit when I was little. Eventually, they started to realize I had to see which one had the birthmark on their leg to be able to tell them apart. So, they started to joke around with me and say they were the other twin because they thought it was funny. As for me, it was funny at first, but eventually started to get a bit old. But, at least they had fun.

    7:12 Another twin mum .... One painted little nail on each of them when they were tiny definitely helped. We used afe polish. Other people i know, have used arm bands or one particular colour on theirs and so many other awesome and super easy ways to make sure they dont get mixed up. I do however remember many times like this when they were little. Thankfully, even identical siblings end up having different traits in behaviour and the way they say or do certain things once their little personalties come shinin through!
    I do believe my twins have the right names they recieved when they were born, but i guess we will never truly know 😅🤦🏼‍♀️

    My brother and his wife had really identical twin girls. The even had matching mirror image birthmarks.
    One day, the girls were probably 4 or 5 yrs old, one came into the living room and stood in front of the tv. My brother said, “Jenny.” She replied, “I’m not Jenny!” And quick as a whip my brother said, “I wasn’t talking to you. JENNY!” I almost died laughing. What a great save!😂

      Agreed, i also think it's not okay for the parents to share that video with the internet. It's one thing to keep it for private memories but that's a very vulnerable moment for the poor kid and by now we all know about the dangers of posting your childrens images in general. Still could've been a comedic video without posting the actual child.
