Authentification is now proprietary to Apple, while authentication is an Android/Windows word. :)

Actually, "authentification" is a lot closer to how it is in a lot of other languages like german, french...
In english, the word "authentification" does also exist, the meaning being only slightly off from "authentication".
From what I found researching, "authentification" doesn't exist in the english language; it's the French word for authentication.
Wiktionary says otherwise.

Is Apple Pay really a verb? Like I don’t really hear the phrase ‘Can I Apple Pay you?’, I use it in the context of ‘do you support Apple Pay?’

Is Text a verb? Is Hoover a verb? Is PayPal a verb? Yet these are used now a days as verb. Technology changes words.
It can be both.
How long does Apple pay cash takes to transfer to your bank? Do you have the option to transfer it right away?

I only recently started using an iphone because I wanted to use Apple Pay mainly to avoid touching a dirty credit card terminal. I thought that it would be a contact-less transaction. Meaning I authenticate using Touch ID and not have to enter a PIN and answer questions on the store credit card terminal. Turns out that's not the case. So I wonder what's the advantage of using Apple Pay? I might as well use my debit card since it's easier than pulling out my phone?
My question is does using Apple Cash get rid of entering the PIN? Are there fees for using Apple Cash in stores? Does Apple charge fees for moving money either to or from the card from your bank account?

This is what the fine print says in the Apple Pay Cash statement:
The Apple Pay Cash card and person to person payments with Apple Pay are services provided by Green Dot Bank, member FDIC ("we" or "us"). This statement includes both transactions involving your Apple Pay Cash card and person to person payments that are funded with a supported payment card you have added to Wallet. However, the summary fee totals included on this statement only reflects the fees that are applied against your Apple Pay Cash card.

Google introduced Tez (for India) a few months back and it directly links to your bank account. Don't need to separately transfer your money from your Apple pay cash (which is essentially one of the hundreds of digital wallets available like PayPal, PayTM etc) to your bank account.
Tez directly transfers money to and from different bank accounts instantly, not in a couple of business days, in a streamlined interface.
Do you need a debit or credit card on apple pay to set um apple pay cash or can you simply use your bank account?

Apple Pay Cash is now we’re I store all my Daily Cash from the Apple Card. As of March 2020, the Apple Card is the only card that gives me a nice return that is safe from the COVID-19 Panic.
In Canada, we’ve had NFC in our debit/credit cards for years before Apple Pay was a thing. So most places already had debit/credit machines that were already capable of using Apple Pay when it came out. No, our cards do not have batteries, the NFC chip works on the tiny amount of power received from the card reader. Hotel room keys also work like that in most newer hotels.
Graham Clarence same as in the US. I’ve used my galaxy next with google wallet since 2011 to pay everywhere. When Apple Pay came out lots of places got new readers and I thought it was strange. Even my old chase debt cards had nfc.

I recently bought my IPhoneX and made a separate ICloud account from my family, and I only have one device. So can I not use Apple Pay cash since it requires two devices?

I live in a small town here in the USA, there’s no major banks here. It sucks that my local bank won’t allow me to use Pay or Pay Cash.
Btw if you saw the demo u put they say they take 1044 dollar to send 1000 dollar but i think it takes fee if it is over a certain amount

Actually, 2 factor authentication only requires you to put in a trusted number which the security system can send a message or call. 2 factor eliminates security questions and cuts AppleCare from being able to help you recover your account. It never asks for photo ID as is not a financial institution.
I set up an Apple Pay cash thing and it didn’t ask me for a photo ID. I already transferred some money to it.
We need it in England. It is inconvenient to have to give details every time someone wants to give you money and that is the only easy way to avoid the notes with animal body parts in (the notes in England are polymer notes made from dead cows).

I love it when I use Samsung pay just about anywhere and the clerk goes "Sorry we don't have Apple Pay". I continue to tap the phone and watch how suprised they are that it work. Then I say "It's Samsung pay". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Apple doesn't need to charge a fee for AP cash, because they will earn interest just from holding all your cash. Tbh AP cash sounds like it's not as convenient as normal internet banking transfer if it takes "a couple of working days" to transfer to your bank account. Although I like the idea of keeping some cash on the card that you can still use everywhere.
