Installing the Magnaflow 19494 Catback Exhaust onto a 2018-2024 Toyota Camry SE (Edited Version)

- OEM Toyota parts needed to perform this install:
1 of the the following:
Heat Shield (Not necessary but still get it, it’s there for a reason)
Part # 58041-06020
Rear Muffler Front bracket
Part # 17577-0P050
Exhaust System Hanger Bracket
Part # 17575-0P200
Rear Muffler Hanger
Part # 17565-0P051
Muffler Rear Support
Part # 17566-F0010
Parts cost a little over $100 together.
Hardware for Brackets bought from Advance auto parts for the hangers:
Dorman Flanged Bolt - Class 10.9 - M8 1.25 X 25mm
For the Heat Shield my mechanic told me he used 6mm X 1. But just recently as of April 2022 I found out that size mm for that nut is 12mm honestly to make your life easier go underneath the car steal one of your nuts and take it to Home Depot and find what your looking for. That’s my best advice, that’s what I would do.

Do you put back the plastic shield?
Yes I was originally going to buy the XSE one so I wouldn’t have to cut it but I had no luck finding the correct one so I went ahead and cut my original one to make it look OEM. I highly recommend this because the bumper becomes loose in that center area and in my opinion you’re risking potential damage to your bumper. Anything could happen

Toyota did such a bad job with the exhaust system on the SE models, but at least they left a rough in space for a cat back upgrade. Nice video. 👍

Hey man, he loves his car, let the man do what he does, I don’t think he races, I think it’s about the sound and the look, not everybody trying to make their car a speedy car, some people are enthusiastic and just enjoy the look and sound.
@j.e.8120 to me it's not about the sound at all, it's about it looking even on both sides with functioning exhaust tips. I don't care if it still sounds stock, I'd prefer it actually, I just want it to look right. Toyota really dropped the ball on the camry exhaust.

I got an se I got a few months ago and didn't think I would do anything with the exhaust because it's a 4cylinder but after watching your vid I know what I have to do
I installed mine myself in my drive way. Easy install. I have an xse. I also did the AEM intake the same day
I started to do that too but I just don’t have enough time like I use to lol. But Yes VERY easy
@King Vegeta. Did you notice a change in performance/MPG after install? I read it's the dual exhaust in the XSE that gives it slightly more HP than the SE.
@@terence4427 not really, but hearing the exhaust gives you a placebo effect that it is lol. Mpg stay the same. I get about 27 on the street and 35-40 on the highway

I didn’t get the dual exit exhaust but the single one and let me tell you, it sounds sound damn nice!!! I was hesitant to buy one for the car but I’m totally glad I did!

from getting everything ready to lowering car down from car Jack's to starting was 45 mins. I also have most tools that people do not.

Looks awesome. I have to say, I did mine on a set of race ramps. Backed the rear of the car up the ramps and went for it. It wasn't ideal but it can be done. 😬

Man, I really love your videos and your car even more. I have a 2021 SE and started building my up. I wasn’t considering the the exhaust until I saw this video. Just had one concern, does replacing with an aftermarket exhaust system negatively affect the engine in any way. Triggering sensors on the dash or fuel consumption. Anything at all?
Nope nothing that I haven’t noticed. The only thing you have to put in consideration is that the weight difference from going from a single sided exhaust to a quad tip dual exhaust.. it’s not noticeable. But if you averaging 28mpg you might see 27.5 mpg just an assumption. I don’t pay attention that closely though. Hope you go for it bro ! Good luck

I know going through the comments may seem like a lot because this is a popular video but I did that the same day just didn’t record it.. also it’s not about protecting wheels well but that part secured the rear bumper as well.

Thanks for the great video. Do all the shields come in the kit? My local speed shop doesn’t show anything in their kit. I have 2022 SE Camry with 4 cylinder.
The only thing that comes with the exhaust is the clamps. Everything else is from Toyota

Got mine installed a few days ago love it just hate the jerky transmission messing up the exhaust notes
You need to invest into the iDrive Throttle Controller or the Peddle commander. Best investment I put into my Camry. Deletes the lag response from the transmission. HUGE difference

@@marlongreene83 I have iDrive so I’m sure the modes are slightly different. It’s the same thing just without Bluetooth. I wasn’t paying an extra $130 to have Bluetooth lol it’s not worth it and as for taking the plug out my best advice is for you to wear a glove and get your best grip on to it. Took me a couple minutes personally

I did this hold installation by myself with just a jack🤷🏻♂️ allso you didn’t need to remove that plastic splash shield. All you had to do was trim the left side.
Kuddos to you. 👏 For better video quality I used a lift. And it wasn’t recorded but I cut my splash pan and put it back on afterwards.
I deleted my resonator and nothing went wrong I got more sound and all the goodie’s

Last summer I changed out my OEM res for a custom high flowing res . Not a huge difference but the air flow and sound is slightly better

I can’t give you a price cause the price I was given is because this man is a family friend and knows me since I was a little boy. You would have to go by whatever his business standards are. He’s in Glenside, PA next door to Ilan auto sales.

Hey man genuine question about the build. I saw the parts needed in the description but when I went to look for them, they kinda all seemed really expensive (yours states it was around $100 total). Where did you get your parts or what is the best way to get the additional attachments needed for SE models?
Any Toyota parts website you can buy them off. Some Toyotas are cheaper than others. No I do not remember which one I used. It’s been two years

Hey man, my diffuser came from Cuztomtuning on Instagram I have a separate video for it on my channel. And in this video you just watched I only had the exhaust. Physically on my car as we speak I do have the AEM cold air intake.

My car is a 2020 SE everything will fit the same exact way on a 2019 SE
