Look forward to your wide FoV lenses video with DCS. Keep up the great work.
MATT THE MAN " WAGS" WAGNER IN MY CHANNEL!! I'm honored lol!!
Hoping to have it out tomorrow
Thank for honest continuing, non-click bait, review. Looking forward to receiving my wide view lenses to try them out myself.
Totally agree with you on the P-38! Downloaded the update earlier today! Can’t wait to jump in and try it out! Also, hopefully the rest of us non-TH-cam creators will get our Wide FOV lenses soon. Nothing from Pimax so far!
Such a majestic aircraft
And yes hopefully soon
Love your honest comments on what you are reviewing. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏽👊🏽
VR experience is very personal thing. I am glad that you like wide fov lences. I wish I could try them.
Great to see the latest on the lenses as I was thinking of the 8k unit. The clarity of the Crystal's overall feature compels me to save funds for a Crystal.
As someone who owns the 8kx I would agree. The Crystal's benefits outweigh those of the 8KX
Great review. Fantastic content. Well enjoyed. Thank you!
Thanks. This is as close as I've come to pushing the go button on a purchase since you imply that your brain has cancelled out any abnormalities of the lense, which makes sense. But then @Gulf76 mentioned that the lense aren't even available!
I have never seen you and steve from vr flight sim guy do any collab on youtube together, *but for the viewers,* it would be truly amazing if you guys could ship eachother lenses and then we can get down to the real problem and see if steve had just a bad set of lenses. Maybe it was a manufacturing problem just like the crystals issues that some youtubers basicly called the crystal terrible and some, (as well as myself love it, accept for the weight.) Maybe these new larger FOV lenses is also going through the same issues. Some good, some bad. Would love to hear your thoughts on this, could you guys do this?
I wish I could order the comfort strap. It's been out of stock for months. I was really lucky with the price of a used Crystal at CDN $1068 for the headset and a replacement cable.
WOW, thats a amazing price, your deal of the year. I know this because I did get a new crystal, (pre-order,) and the total for me from Pimax to my door, all in, was CDN $2377.30.
@GT1GT I bought it from a guy on Reddit. It was a risky purchase, and it didn't work when it arrived. I was lucky that all it needed was a new cable.
Get the Apache strap, it’s better in nearly every way
How is the crystal FOV compared to your 8KX ? (I own a 5K+). I'd guess we are somewhere between normal and small modes of the 8KX, right ? Is it closer to normal or small, or more in the middle ? (I hope this in not between small and potatoe modes of the 8KX)
I have watched several videos on the new Pimax wide field of view lenses but not one of them talk about those who already have prescription lenses. Do we need to purchase new prescription lenses or will our existing ones still fit on these wide field of view lenses?
So I guess it depends. I got mine from VR Wave and they go ON TOP of the existing lenses in which case they work fine for me
what about the binocular overlap ?
For me... it is only noticeable if I'm literally looking for it. But after a minute of flying I personally don't notice it
Vids like this are so hard to gauge. Because you almost never look around or up, you basically look straight the entire time. I understand, yeah, you are flying, but if all you do is look straight ahead might as well use a monitor.
Fair enough. I'll work on that my friend. I want my content to be meaningful or it's pointless
