Get to high ground...those 5's usually have a nasty surge. Thankfully, this one is small in coverage and has been moving on by fast. That's all well and good until it hits you though!

Please pray for all affected in Indiana from the last storm. Alot of food was lost personally ..Power was out for 26+ hours. Anyone on snap assistance got some replacement but not everything was replaced for some of not most.

David, cast all your cares upon the Lord...that means ALL! He is not a God that he should lie! "cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall." Psalm. 55:22. Is Jesus your Lord and Savior? If you have made and confessed with your lips that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life, if you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, that he came to earth through a virgin birth, that he came and walked amongst man, that he willingly went to the cross and died a horrible death so we could have eternal life, that he rose again on the third day and that he right now sits at the right hand of father God... if you have received a new birth through Jesus Christ, you are covered in his righteousness, therefore that Psalm that I sent you applies to you and all of us who are covered in the righteousness of Christ! Amen! Also, psalm 56:3-4 "When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, and God I trust; I will not be afraid!" In the last scripture I will share with you was the very first scripture that I memorized because I had so much fear in my life..."For God has not given us a spirit of fear: but a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7. I will pray for you David, right now I will pray for you. I urge anyone reading this, if you have not made Jesus your Lord and Savior, you do have reason to be fearful ... but for those of us who love Jesus Christ, who love God with everything that is in us, He will keep us hidden under the shadow of his wings. I also want to encourage you to read the entire Psalm 91! It is a wonderful scripture to read daily throughout your home and remember, God's word is sharper than any double edged sword "For The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, if penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."! Hebrews 4:12....use your sword! Perhaps put scripture up throughout your house so that you can meditate on it it is a strength!!! Be blessed in the Lord Jesus Christ dear brother!

Hello Mitch hurricanes are getting stronger they should add cat 6 to the scale.
Even if they did, it would have to start at 185 mph, no point in it because hurricanes almost never get that close
As of now the cat 5 causes the most damage ( catastrophic) top end classification a report some time ago 49% of deaths coastal storm surge 27% flooding 8% by wind. Hurricanes stats do show they are stronger with ri are rising. There has been talk of a cat 6 but as of now no changes. The catastrophic cat 5 means just that as our infrastructure cannot endure that intensity. 🌎🎛📡😺
I'm predicting that we will have a major hurricane with over 185mph winds by the time THIS season of 2024 is over.
No matter what "they" say, it will be over the cat 5 category,
Over 185mph, which is a cat6 per say.... but will NOT be officially stated..
Heads on swivel, keep your eyes on those wind speeds.

That cone has moved slightly north each day. Folks in Texas and Louisiana need to be paying attention. I got a funny feeling Beryl turning north and heads towards Texas/Louisiana. And we all know what happens when storms hit the Gulf of Mexico
Concerning…The high over Tx will move away by Thursday-Friday and it will open the door to Beryl. I think it depends on how well it’s kept together and how far north it hits the Yucatan. The Bay of Campeche is warm enough for intensification. Only time will tell.

As I see the aviation charts forward looking. I see the storm going to Cancun more east skirting Mexico slowing down in the Gulf and heading towards the east.

As a Pilot I took the meteorology course to get my Pilots license. As knowing Meteorology I agree with Mitch. I am seeing the storm not hitting Mexico like has been plotted. As the changes accrues I feel looking at days ahead I see it could head more north into the Gulf. It could wobble and steers North.. I think Mitch has a good grip on the changes ahead. Full marks Mitch in looking ahead on the track, steering winds and highs and lows

Do you foresee in the next decade the need to add a category 6? With the average difference between the current categories being 19 or 20 mph, if we can think Beryl could hit 170, that's getting close to "new category" status. And that's now! 2024! In late June/early July.

Folks on the US coasts. Please dont go out to try to surf or swim. We have already had drownings in Texas from rip tides. It will be far worse when this gets in the gulf.
There is no when it gets in the Gulf, yet.
However, those living along the GOM coast should be prepared for the worst-case scenarios that any hurricane / tropical storm may bring.
