Happy Independance day Mitch and weather fans. Thoughts on Beryl as now model guidance trending that ridge weakening over the gulf coast states increasing the chance of a northward turn. That also allows it to stay over the water a longer time for strengthening as long as the shear is minimal. Seems like that north trough could influence it north. Thank you Mitch for showing these possibilities. Very interesting how this will play out. 11:11 am sw of Joliet IL. Hey Mitch, watch your videos everyday and have for years. The one thing to look for is the location for where the models are starting their data. Look at the satellite data for storm location and verify where the model run begins. There has been a lot of discrepancy through the past week due to the rapid intensification where models were previously not accounting for that aspect. Just an observation with the runs. Be safe in SC.

Tulum is pronounced Too - Loom. Lots of resorts there that use twigs in their structures, that's going to be very destructive to their economy. Thanks for all you do! Still waiting to hear from family on the south coast of Jamaica 🙏🏽
If it wasnt for all the shear, this could have easily ended up one monster of a storm. Those smaller tightly compact storms are among of the worst for those in its path. Hurricane Andrew in '92 was a textbook example of what happens when a small tightly compact storm makes landfall.

Why do you say "The Yucatan"? You don't say "The Florida" or "The Texas".
The Yucatan Peninsula consists of three Mexican states. Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Campeche.. Be safe down there🙏🌎🎛📡😺
