Just wanted to say thank you so much for the tutorials for the fuso. I have an FE 160 and the services are so expensive especially since fuso stopped selling trucks in the United States. Seems like my average visit costs $2,000 because they always find something to fix. Oil change (Preventative maintenance service) costs $500. It's crazy expensive and I always wanted to do my own service but there is very little information about fixing fuso trucks online. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I added some comments with small suggestions to some of your videos as I worked through them myself and I realized it might have come off as rude or over critical so I'm taking the time now to let you know that I really do appreciate you and I'm sure that a lot of other fuso owners do too. Thank you so much.
I’m super happy that you have found the channel and the videos - and even more that you are able to add info that I have missed - as these videos are intended as exactly for what you found them for - helping people find the info that they need! When I started working on my truck it was hard for me to find the info and I decided I wanted to help folks like me who wanted to be able to do it ourselves! Stick around there’s always more coming (technical as well!). Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the answers and how to… I’m including all the sizes here for the 2013/14 4P10 engine I have. 13mm socket for vent, 32mm socket for filter housing, 12mm hex bit (Allen key) for drain plug. Oddly, the o-ring for the drain plug is not part of the oil change kit when you ask a dealer for all the parts. Also… the oil should be between and towards the upper part of the narrow portion on the dip stick
Depending on which country you are in, the answer will be different. I’m assuming you’re in a part that doesn’t have, or doesn’t have many Fuso dealerships! often Mercedes can get them for you - however I go through a local aftermarket truck parts distributor - as one of the the associate stores in their network is a Fuso parts distributor.
The oil level should be within the narrowed section of the dipstick - if the oil is above the hole, you need to change the oil - it could be diluted with fuel.
If I had found that year range, manual transmission, and pre-emissions - I likely would have bought it. I’d far prefer the M/T and pre-DEF, but I’m happy with what I have.
Actually, at about 1:15 I said I’m pretty sure its it’s probably supposed to be 13mm, and I’m getting away with 1/2”. 😜. Mine was all crudded up - so your experience may vary slightly. 😁
The 4P10 is the engine, it will depend on what transmission you have. If you have the Duonic 6 speed auto, the TRANSMISSION oil level check/inspection/fill plug is on the left hand side (when viewed from the rear) either just ahead of the PTO blanking plate (if no PTO installed) or on the left side of the PTO itself if there is a PTO installed. Oil level should be flush with the bottom of the inspection port. The CLUTCH oil level check/inspection/fill plug is on the same side, slightly further forward. Clutch fluid level should also be level with the bottom of the inspection port.
@@BruceandKrista mines a 2012 and I’m in Canada. Also 4p10 engine, dug around in my scrap pile and found a bolt with a head that fit a 12mm socket and that head slipped right in, where the 13mm didn’t oops. Gotta be a 12 or a 1/2inch which is like 12.xx something for me. Odd haha, good thing there’s free shipping and returns these days.
@@BruceandKrista well it’s been dealer serviced till now drain looks original and new filter was just as yours looked with the element and the little yellow plug same part number on the box too.
@@ballinvsxx OH! I totally misunderstood - I thought you were talking about the vent plug on the filter housing, you’re talking about the actual drain plug!?!

Thanks for adding this!!!
It's actually a 12 mm Allen wrench for the oil drain plug
Great info thanks!!
Changing my oil with you today
Good stuff!
Have you ever done the transmission fluids? I need to do all of the other fluids besides the engine and I don't see any tutorials on TH-cam.
No, I have not had to do the transmission or axles yet.
Excellent!!! Saved my live... 😃
*adds 1 to the list of lives saved… 🤣. Glad It was useful!
Bruce, have you done a front brake replacement video? Thanks
Not yet - but it will be coming!
Great video 👍
Thanks!
Where do you order your Mitsubishi Genuine parts from? Thanks!!!

Is it possible to accidentally install the oil filter cartridge in wrong direction (open end inside the plastic housing )
I am not sure as I have never tried!
Dipstick is a bit unusual. Where is the oil level supposed to end up at?
The oil level should be within the narrowed section of the dipstick - if the oil is above the hole, you need to change the oil - it could be diluted with fuel.
Sir plz make video diesel filter changing
Coming soon!!
Bruce, what transmission oil would you recommend? Checked manual, it seems very hard to find GL4 80/90 gear oil in Canada.
Hmmm - have you tried heavy truck supply shops? I haven’t had to get any yet!

¡Muchísimas gracias jefe!
If you could do things differently, would you go with a 2005-2007 or stay with your 2013?
Thanks!

Thanks for watching - glad it helped!
Thanks
No problem - thanks for watching!
After getting the engine up to temperature, which is????
40C or 104F according to the manual ;cD
Where do you put transmission oil on 4p10

Should i used syntethic 15 40 diesel oil on my 4p10 engine
Mitsubishi does recommend using Synthetic oil. 😎
So the drain plug definitely wasn’t 13mm since I just bought one and it didn’t fit in mine. Lol.
What year/market is your truck? 13mm socket fit this one perfectly. 2013 FGB72S with the 4P10 engine.
