My first attempt at restoring a VW van as a mobile self employed vehicle restorer. I had a lot to learn along the way and it was lucky there was a significant break in between where I gained valuable experience on other vehicles.

The brake servo thing is also a common problem in VW T4's. It's normally down to having too much fluid in the reservoir after topping up.

My pleasure, yes the customer was very fair but restoration is hard to make a living. If you like doing things the best you can then the time is rarely covered financially.

Thank you, in 2007 in was £10/hr but I was just a beginner so you have to start somewhere. I was so keen back then I would have almost worked for free. 😆
