Thanks so much my math teacher gave us Home Work and didn't even instruct us on how to do this. This helped me understand much more clearly. Usually, the instructor is very good at teaching us how to do whatever it is she is instructing but for some reason this time she didn't instruct us very well. Again, thanks!
@@phoneixforce9680 hello! I am very sorry where did the 2z+2 come from? is it like a formula?🥲 I saw another comment who landed with the same answer but, they got the 20 from 4y+4=20 by doubling the 10 in z+1/9+1=10
@@rihyanny think of it like this, for 18 it will be 2z because Let (imagine for now) 18 be 2x then on the z place it will be x (half of the original value) i.e 18=2x Z=x just like shown in the video. 18 will be equal to 2x ( as "x" is half of "18" for it to be equal we write "2x" equal to 18 and also to find the value of x ) Now back to the question again, Therefore z=18/2 z=9 Just like that z +1 is half of 4y + 4 So we do 2( z+1)= 2z + 2 2z+2=4y+4 Put in z value 2×9+2=4y+4 20=4y+4 Y=16/4 Y=4 Now x=3y-5 ( here the whole bottom side of the triangle is not completely 3y-5 only half and x is already half of the original value so we can directly write x is equal to 3y-5) Insert the values x=3y-5 x=3×4-5 x=7

think i just found critical's math channel
LMAO

We need to add him to the critical-verse

in a month I will be reaching calculus. Yayyy!!! I am super excited. I've Learned so much from you. May Allah Bless you.
You are a true teacher.
I have undeniable proof of Christianity but I admire how both of us have a passion for mathematics and science

Lux Ashryver thank u it helped me a lot
hello thank you for the breakdown: question how did you arrive 2z+2=4y+4: 16y/4 for y = 4? am lost? : (
@@reubenarceo3832
Since,
2z + 2 = 4y + 4
we know the value of 2z (i.e 18)
18 + 2= 20
20=4y+4
Y=16/4
Y= 4

think of it like this,
for 18 it will be 2z because
Let (imagine for now) 18 be 2x then on the z place it will be x (half of the original value)
i.e
18=2x
Z=x
just like shown in the video.
18 will be equal to 2x ( as "x" is half of "18" for it to be equal we write "2x" equal to 18 and also to find the value of x )
Now back to the question again,
Therefore z=18/2
z=9
Just like that
z +1 is half of 4y + 4
So we do 2( z+1)= 2z + 2
2z+2=4y+4
Put in z value
2×9+2=4y+4
20=4y+4
Y=16/4
Y=4
Now x=3y-5 ( here the whole bottom side of the triangle is not completely 3y-5 only half and x is already half of the original value so we can directly write x is equal to 3y-5)
Insert the values
x=3y-5
x=3×4-5
x=7

Yo, I did NOT understand this what so ever lol. Prof. Dave is fantastic at geometry. Thanks so Much =D =D
Great video Professor Dave - I'm going to be rich with all the pennies dropping in my head.
explain the last question???
Does anyone know how to do this but with right triangles?
Parallelograms are being formed
Ah yes, Zelda
Z = 9 y= 4 x= 3.5
x = 7 because 3y-5 is already the half of the base. so x is directly equal to 3y-5 , not half.
No Cece, x is 7 because it's only one half
Will it posible for scalen triangle
The one in the video is a scalene triangle
