I bought 15 Pro Max great camera and phone, but not as good a camera as the 8 Pro, I changed yesterday and noticable difference in cameras! Cheers from UK 🙂
And for me it's the opposite... After watching this great comparative video, I wonder if I'm going to leave my P8P for the Iphone 15 Pro max. in fact the 4K videos seem to flatter my retina more, there are more details on the sand, and the branches of the fir trees... I'm really lost...
Google's photo processing is just beyond. GCam with a good build and suitable tweaks on other cameras with decent hardware also walks iPhones. Did a bit of a 14 Pro vs Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (Gcam) comparison today and far better than the 14Pro. Before GCam no

@@Fyahking619These days, people rarely lug around their DSLR let alone need one. For the average day user and traveler alike...their phones are the first thing they reach for. Nearly 99% of their pictures are meant to be shared via phone and/or media platforms eliminating the need for a DSLR. Even for many individuals who do lug around their DSLR, many don't even have the basic skills to use it manually let alone know the basics of framing their shot. You are right about some of the cameras brand sharing the same brand sensor underneath their hood. When it comes down to it especially photos in general. Google has put an emphasis on this area since their first Pixel series and it got really well during their 3rd iteration. Ever since that, the photo department has been evolving at such a crazy pace. Again, Google is a software emphasis type of company and for the longest time, they didn't half bake their Android OS and it has been a huge drag for the overall phone. It was only during their last 3 Pixel lines did they decide to step up in all of the departments. This is especially true with the 7 Pro and 8 Pro in the video department. Video isn't so much of my thing as it is with the cameras. That's not to say that Google should slouch in that department. For those that prefer the look of the iPhone or DSLR like look. Just turn on the manual feature shooting and Google like imaging results are no longer there resulting in a taste that may be suitable for others that don't like the Google look although countless blind reviews have proven that photos coming from the Pixel series of phones are still considered top notch. Yes this applies to the 7a and now 8a budget series as well which are about $400-700 less than their competitors while maintaining the core features. Thank you very much for your kind words. It is a tremendous privilege to receive and share with others, especially with the support we've been fortunate to have. However, partnering with a company like Sahara is a great honor, and I eagerly anticipate sharing more reviews soon! Additionally, I will be providing some tutorials on how to capture better photos and videos. - ZCJ
Great comparison, very clean editing and pleasing shots. I couldnt believe these photos came out of these consumer phones. I have the 8 Pro and personally much prefer the stills from the pixel in the couple of cases where there was a significant difference from the iphone pictures. Portait mode sucks on both, much better IMO to just use the telephoto with its natural bokeh. Portriat video also sucks on both. Video in good lighting is great on both, but in low light the pixel honestly falls flat on its face compared to the iphone - it's in a completetly different league. Software and design won me over though, loving the 8 Pro so far.
Thank you for watching, Tim! Many of the points you highlighted in our testing have also proven to be accurate. Indeed, it's amazing to see the impressive results that can be achieved with these phones. It's great to observe the Pixel 8 Pro performing exceptionally well in capturing photos.
For me, general image quality, skin tones, macro and low light shooting, the Pixel 8 Pro just slightly has the edge. Video is iPhone but the new Video Boost on the Pixel is great and Google has made big strides to almost be on par with Apple in that department.
What a great comparison. Location choices, and experienced photography skills makes it! Not to mention, the video looks exported in quality tier above 90% of "comparison videos", so the actual detail differences of the photos are clearly visible.
Excellent work ... Great Video, your landscape photos are wonderful. Please add some difficult shots like indoor in medium light portraits, (everybody like selfies in pubs or clubs), night sky with moon or street light photos (to check for lensflares). Keep on !
Portrait mode on all phones seems like such a gimmick. First of all it doesn't look anything like a standalone camera, and even if it did, the cutout quality is just not there. So thank you for not putting so much emphasis on it, because for some reason everybody thinks that it is worth talking about and comparing it between different phones.
Thanks for watching, Noman. Indeed, it seems like the portrait/cinematic mode still needs improvement. It is a great feature, but it demonstrates that software alone cannot match what hardware can achieve. If anything, a good lens and sensor are crucial, and you can often overlook outdated software in such cases. This is why shooting on large format film cameras is still so enjoyable. Through testing, I have found that the primary camera consistently delivers much better image quality.
Agreed, portrait mode is just not the same has having the shallow dof of a good lens. I personally prefer to shoot portraits using the 5x on the Pixel. The results are very good, but it does require stepping a bit back from the subject.
Delightful shots and a very high quality illustrative comparison, my respects. The photos on the Pixel are incredible, but as for the video - the iPhone humiliates its competitor in most cases, especially noticeable at 6:14. Thanks for the video and help, it's a really tough choice and every example of the flaws contrasted with the pros is extremely valuable.
Thank you for watching and for your support! Indeed, the Pixel 8 Pro truly surprised me with the quality it delivered in the still photography department. The color rendition was great too, making it very impressive. The iPhone is performing well, and I believe the codecs also play a significant role. ProRes, introduced by Apple over a decade ago, and now LOG, make a big difference.
Excellent camera comparison video. The video on iPhones are absolutely untouchable. However there's a lot of phones creeping up on Apple and beating them in some scenarios with photography.
Thank you, Robert. We truly appreciate your tuning in. Indeed, in video mode, especially when using LOG ProRes, Apple has proven to be untouchable. When exposed correctly, I have compared it with a Red cinema camera and intercut footage. Of course, if pushed too much, it may struggle a little, but no other phone camera in video mode has been able to achieve this. I completely agree about photos! I was pleasantly surprised by the Pixel 8 Pro. It delivers impressive image quality and handles colors and skin tones really well.
@Saharacase Apple has always been consistently reliable with photographs where you know you can point and shoot and be pleased with the image 9 times out of 10. A lot of Android phones tend to really wow you though when their AI and computational photography hits just the right way.
Nice comparison, I appreciate your opinion! This may be personal taste, but I think the woman looks more beautiful on the Pixel every single time (1:29, 4:14 and 4:24). It is partly because of the skin color, but her expression also looks a bit weird on the iPhone?
Thank you for tuning in! The Pixel 8 Pro truly excelled in capturing accurate skin tones. Typically, the iPhone takes the lead in this aspect, so it's refreshing to witness other camera systems making significant strides in color reproduction.
The stills are comparable with slight edge to the pixel in some places like zoom Res but the video for me on the pixel 8 pro was unacceptably bad when watching this on my 65 inch calibrated oled TV. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole for video but v impressed with stills
Taking into account the price difference Pixel 8 Pro 256GB is impossible to turn down...Just ordered a used 8 Pro here in the UK £615...cant find a 15 Pro Max remotely close price wise, at least 50% more !...a no brainer
Excellent summary video. I have the iPhone 15 PMax, along with Samsung S23 and Sony Xperia 1V. Overall I do like the iPhone 15 PMax image processing and the 'crop modes' offering 28, and 35mm equivalents are useful and usable. pro raw images are superb from the main sensor. The 5X 120mm is useful but the 12MP small sensor lets it down on terms of low detail resolution. If Apple adopt 48 MP for the iPhone 16 5X then they are on to a winner. Xperia zoom at 85 and 125mm is a better approach for flexibility but again the 12mp sensor only provides lower quality image to main sensors. We need 48 MP sensors on all lenses to equalise the quality across all focal lengths.
Thank you, Vincent. You brought up some excellent points as well. If Apple incorporates that primary main sensor pipeline, including a 48MP sensor, they will truly have nailed it. Based on our testing, I believe they have the best RAW processing. Thanks for the valuable information! I think it would be great to conduct some testing against the Leica Q series to see how they hold up. (Main sensor Raw)
Low MP sensors are better for low light depending on the pixel pitch hence why the Sony A7SIII has a 12 MP sensor, this could be why the Apple does better in video.
Thank you for the feedback and for tuning in! Indeed, it seems that other brands are slightly ahead in terms of secondary lens camera quality. While the primary camera in the 15 Pro Max is excellent, many customers eagerly anticipate a higher level of image quality for the telephoto and ultra-wide lens.
Nothing new here, I mean an excellent review that just show one more time that the video on iPhone is leaps a head of any Android phone, as for photos? the pixel dose a great job. I own pixel 7 and since the video is still just ok, not sure I will upgrade to pixel 8.
Thank you for watching! The setup was quite basic, using a single window light for the key and a small LED for rim lighting. I used the Red Komodo for filming with a Cooke S4 lens. I did keep it simple overall in set up. I'll be comparing the Red with the 15 Pro Max very soon.
Is there any focus issues at night? And while zooming i feel best after 5x but the mid zoom is horrible. I think with software updates it may get fixed. Not sure.
The problem on the pixels is crearly the video, the video isn't equal to the 15prox max and a lot of noise at night, and my god when you post on social media specially Whatsapp and Facebook you loose a lot of details, that's very frustrating
The pixel is a great cameraphone but when you compare it with the iphone or even the samsung galaxy you will notice a pattern. The pixel sharpens and makes peoples hair look very harsh. Same with fabric. At certain times it also gives you a real skin tone but at certain times it comes up with mixed jibberish skin tone. I know all companies uses different isp's and different ai algorithms for the final output but Apple and Samsung has nailed it when it comes to taking photos of people. You will see soft warm skin tones, smooth hair and fabric. It might not always be accurate but it will be more pleasing to the eyes and ultimately thats what people prefer.
I'm android system fan (iOs is not for me) but in terms of Photos/Videos I have to admit that in all aspects the photos and videos are far better than on Pixel. Thank you for this video!
Both phones are very nice. Other than camera quality, it did seem as though the iPhone 15 Pro Max was slightly faster in taking pictures with less lag time. Overall, both provided a good customer experience.
I think the Pixel 8 Pro has one of the best cameras on a smartphone that I have tested. It would definitely receive a very high rating, at least an 8. I believe the Pixel is now competing closely with Apple and Samsung. Google has done a great job! This is just speaking in terms of the camera. As far as software and other factors go, I couldn't speak to that as much.
Thank you for watching! Based on all the testing we've done, it seems that the iPhone 15 Pro Max does have a slight advantage for video when using LOG and ProRes.
Well, I have eliminated Samsung. The iPhone is better, but I don't like iOS At All. So it appears that pixel is the way to go. Samsung is doing bizarre things with color. I want to see the original color!
Man, what a good comparison to these awesome flagship phones! I would choose the Pixel for the quality of photos, but the iPhone for videos and it is still the best in mobile videography. Having both phones in your pockets would be great. I'm taking photos 90% of the time for camera usage, so I would choose the Pixel. Keep up the good work! More power to you and your channel! Stay safe everyone. Sending love from the Philippines!❤
Thanks for watching! Your support means a lot to us. Google has done an exceptional job with the still image quality on the Pixel 8 Pro. Both phones seem to perform very well, each with its own strengths.
Apple will always have a slight edge over the google pixel 8 pro and the Samsung. However the Samsung s24 ultra is really good. With that being said, I think Google has a slight edge over the Apple and with the new Samsung it is on par with Apple in terms of photo quality. Apple used to have been so far ahead in the photo area in the past but now, it is either on par or slightly less to the other 2 competitors.
I’m new to this channel and this is a very high quality video like he was about to give an inspirational motivation talks but here we go, a tech comparison video with neat background arrangement and good bgm choice……..now this is convincing me to switch from iPhone to google pixel cause as a student, my iPhone is full of google apps so why not😆
Focusing on video, it is clear that Apple still leads the way in terms of overall quality and low light noise reduction. I just wish IPhones had a pause record feature built in to allow basic editing on the fly. You can end up with a multitude of little snippet videos or one long droll video full of wild panning and camera jerks and unwanted conversations and rampant exposure changes etc. Just awful. And the apps out there on the Apple store to give your device this ability are clunky and woeful at best. Come on Apple, give your excellent video systems this final tweak to make them perfect.
For aftermarket video apps on the 15 Pro Max, the best I have tested is the Blackmagic Cam. You can import LUTs, select other ProRes variants, lock in exposure and white balance, choose ISO, set shutter angle, and adjust FPS to 23.976 instead of the stock 24, and much more. Although it is still being updated, it is a very powerful app for video applications.
That is the conclusion we also reached. Google did a great job with the Pixel 8 Pro, and Apple continues to push the envelope for professionals requiring additional features like LOG ProRes. Thank you for watching! We really appreciate the support.
I have pixel 8 pro and send pictures taken with night mode to my wife iphone 14 pro . they look insane better on iphone but the pixel have better screen. Why they look better on iphone 😀
I liked the pixel 8 pro sir God bless you your family and your friends 🙏 I hope you are having a wonderful fantastic awesome bless safe beautiful lovely day wherever you are enjoy the rest of your day sir 😊 ❤
A few weeks ago, when we tested the S23 Ultra, it performed admirably. The optical zoom and 200MP were impressive features! It's great to witness flagship models improving each year. We are excited to test the S24 Ultra when it launches. Thanks for watching!
It's not. It's utterly useless due to one thing. Oversharpening as hell. There is no other brand right now that's oversharpening that much. Samsung need to step it up again. About 15th place on dxomark is not that good for Samsung. Watch the other video and you will see.
@@yamahass66You can adjust the sharpness in photos on the S23 Ultra via Camera Assistant in the camera settings. You have three settings. Off and Medium and High softening. Medium gives best results in my opinion. In fact, it gives excellent results. Once you have set Medium softening, every photo you take from that day on will be in Medium Softening mode. You only have to set it once to make it your new default setting.
I loved your video from israel You are better then most of youtubers who review tech like Mr.Whotheboss,i love your chanell channel I'm currently using the pixel 8 pro and I think overall this phone is better than iPhone 15 pro Max

Other than camera which o ne is good?
Both phones are very nice. Other than camera quality, it did seem as though the iPhone 15 Pro Max was slightly faster in taking pictures with less lag time. Overall, both provided a good customer experience.
HI HOW MUCH DO U RATE THE PIXEL 8 PRO FROM 1-10
I think the Pixel 8 Pro has one of the best cameras on a smartphone that I have tested. It would definitely receive a very high rating, at least an 8. I believe the Pixel is now competing closely with Apple and Samsung. Google has done a great job! This is just speaking in terms of the camera. As far as software and other factors go, I couldn't speak to that as much.
You should make a new v on video with the video boost of the 8 pro
That's definitely something I'll explore. Google appears to be introducing some impressive new features.
subbed!
Nice video 👍
Thanks you!
I like color on pixel photography a lot more
amazing video! I love the quality of the Pixel 8 Pro
Thanks for watching!
Google pixel is the winner 🎉❤
What is the best phone for video recording in 2024?
Thank you for watching! Based on all the testing we've done, it seems that the iPhone 15 Pro Max does have a slight advantage for video when using LOG and ProRes.
Please compare
Sony Xperia 1 mark V
Beautiful and clear comparision 👏
Thank you!
Well in Europe it is a BIG price gap ,300-400 €
please do pixel 9 pro and 15 pro max
Coming later this week! In depth!
Well, I have eliminated Samsung. The iPhone is better, but I don't like iOS At All. So it appears that pixel is the way to go. Samsung is doing bizarre things with color. I want to see the original color!
Still feel like my S22 Ultra can stay on par with the S23 Ultra and beat out the 15 PM and P8P.
No it doesnt.👍🏻
Watching video on pixel 8pro 😎
Google will not go against Apple since both companies are USA marked. Pixel is oustanding but in some occasions the 🍎 is doing better.
1:42 pixel has banana effect and 15 pro max stays sharp
Excelent video bro i like my puxel 7pro
Thank you!
Photos of pixel 8 pro are sooo satisfying.
Indeed, Google did an excellent job with the Pixel 8 Pro.
I will be testing the S24 Ultra at launch! Stay tuned for the upcoming comparison tech videos. Thanks for tuning in.
I’m new to this channel and this is a very high quality video like he was about to give an inspirational motivation talks but here we go, a tech comparison video with neat background arrangement and good bgm choice……..now this is convincing me to switch from iPhone to google pixel cause as a student, my iPhone is full of google apps so why not😆
Two phones draw in the camera race.Since Google is a new phone brand, I believe it will soon release phones with better cameras..
I was really impressed by the Google Pixel 8 Pro. I will be doing an in-depth review very soon. Thanks for tuning in.
Landscape so perfect
Proffesional comparison 👍 I like your outfit too guys ❤😂✌️
Glad you liked it! Thank you
I love pixel 8 pro. for me much better
Please compare s23 ultra with pixel 8 pro soon❤
Perfect
I really enjoyed the video. Its a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Focusing on video, it is clear that Apple still leads the way in terms of overall quality and low light noise reduction.
Although it is still being updated, it is a very powerful app for video applications.
iPhone all day everyday
▪︎▪︎▪︎ Both devices are very successful in photography. But iPhone is definitely better when it comes to video 🎉
If google pixel 9 pro will record so good videos like iphone i will change it
I will be reviewing and testing the Google Pixel 9 Pro at launch!
Iphone is number one Mobile Company in the world 🌎

Pixel 8 Pro > iPhone 15 Pro
I just ordered a Pixel 8 Pro for $674.00
Can you get me the code too?
S23 ultra still the king by the way
A few weeks ago, when we tested the S23 Ultra, it performed admirably.
You only have to set it once to make it your new default setting.
iPhone is an emperor.
nah
Pixel- most of pictures are better than iPhone, but iPhone have better videos
I loved your video from israel
You are better then most of youtubers who review tech like Mr.Whotheboss,i love your chanell channel I'm currently using the pixel 8 pro and I think overall this phone is better than iPhone 15 pro Max
Thank you kindly! Indeed, the Pixel 8 Pro is an excellent camera. I was genuinely impressed with the colors and skin tones. Google did a great job with this new model.
Photo king pixel
15 pro max is oversaturated. That's not truetolife colours
I preferred all the photos and videos on the iPhone 15 pro max. Definitely phone of the year 😊
Matt Damon?
