Just got a nice used one, the pickups are superb, nice neck, tuners spot on, trem works well and after setup it holds tune, its only only fault is that it is quite heavy. I cant understand the point of swapping one floating, two post, none locking trem for another almost identical one.
Did you have to make the space between to 2 posts wider for the new bridge? I have a Sterling AX3 that I'd love to change the bridge on, but the distance between the posts is 52.5mm. Which is a little shorter than what most after market bridges need.
I would check the specs on whatever you are looking to drop in to make sure it will work. In my case the only thing I had to alter was a bit of dremeling (1:40).
I bought it seeing that the 'bones' looked really good not knowing exactly what to expect from the electronics/hardware. I have to say the tuners blew me away there are some very nice locking ones and the pickups really grew on me, but that's such a matter of preference. The reason I changed the tremolo is that I do use the bar quite a bit and I just couldn't get the factory one to return to zero, but the Wilkinson is great, I've played a lot of live shows with it since I made the video, it's the main guitar I'm using.
Can you please let me know what you did to your neck and headstock. Why does it look like Brazilian rosewood? What did you use to get it to look like that? The Luke HH guitars are my favorite guitars! Nice video. Thanks
Did you replace the nut? I have the same model (in Blueberry Burst). I like the stock trem, but I'm getting a lot of nut binding, which stops it from going back in tune after using the trem. I'm hoping it'll wear in (guitar is brand new).
Try the nut like on the Luke MM model. I believe it is a Earvana nut. When I get mine I will change but and bridge. Have a older Wilkinson bridge like this in a parts box.

What is your Sterling Luke guitar stud post spacing? 54mm?

Vegatrem is also a great option
Ive been eyeing this guitar up, although may change the pickup, tuners and vol/tone knobs, but it looks great

Honestly I didn't do anything to the guitar except for changing the bridge, that's just the wood as it came.

I haven't had issues with the nut, but I do use something like 3 in 1 oil or big bends if I have issues with returning to zero.

Smart man. Many high dollar over engineered designs, can’t really say any is better than the Wilkinson.
