I have a special place in my heart already for this Komodo rig, as straight out of the box it is similar to my full scale truck. Even the color is a close match. Ok, so many people ask me questions about the rigs I use, so I have provided public info on the manufacturers website below.
"The new GMade Komodo Scale RC Crawler! Based on the GS01 chassis, which was first used on the Sawback, the new GMade Komodo comes equipped with an overload of high performance scale crawling parts. Features include a steel c-channel frame with built in scale plate, a 4 link suspension system with internal spring oil shocks, one piece graphite solid axle housings with metal diff covers, a single speed transmission with metal motor mount, a set of MT1903 1.9″ rock crawling tires on NR02 bead lock wheels, and a low COG adjustable battery plate. While that’s all great, what really makes the GMade Komodo stand out from the crowd is that amazing pickup truck body. It is made of clear polycarbonate with multiple plastic accessories including a front grill, front and rear light buckets, door handles and much more.

I like this style, talking instead of just motor noise or music, explaining the whole hobby really gets me into it, even though I don't own one, yet!

You should TOTALLY make your 'full size truck' look like your 'RC truck', would be pretty cool.

Medic, I've been a fan for awhile now and never posted. Not to may things I enjoy more than wrenching on my Deadbolt and watching your videos. Your passion for RC is infectious, attention to detail second to none. Nice work and thanks for keeping it clean. My eight year and and 3 year old boys are huge fans of your work.
Big huge wave from across the pond (London), I've over the last month or so got right stuck into the RC world and I have to say you were the first channel that inspired me to get into all this more and more! So thanks for all of your guidance Medic.
I have started on the Ruckus 1/10 2wd Brushless which for me kinda shocked me at the sheer power of the thing when first venturing out to our local community park! It does however have it's downsides such as the suspension being way too 'floppy' and a thing that I've recently learned about, the ESC seems to burn out very easily which is only down to the hard driving I give the Ruckus. I have a hell of a lot to learn I know thus didn't think it was so involved!
I'm looking to get my next RC at the end of October and am 80% decided on the Savage HP which was after watching your overview on the truck.
Anyway not sure where I've gone with all of the above but guess I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for all the hard work, guidance and interesting videos you've uploaded.

First of all Medic let me say awesome! Because you go into such detail, i've learned quite a lot. Although a lot can be learned by reading forums, sometimes it's better to watch video's and by far your video's are the best in my book.

Yet another super informative video Aaron!!! Working on 1:1 Suspensions most of my life, I've learned a lot, even how to transfer that knowledge into Tiny Trucks!
You're so right about "flex". It however, is necessary....TO A POINT. You've got that Rig dialed in where the Suspension will softly Droop - without taking the REST of the Truck with it!! 👍👍
SO MANY N00BS think that their Suspension should be fully topped out at rest!! Tell me, when was the last time you saw any vehicle coming down off of a Lift at a Shop - and NOT see the Body drop at all?? 😱
Too firm is just as bad as too soft. I try to educate people about that, and I can see that you DEFINITELY do that every chance you get!
While Building my Wraith, I chose 1.2lb Springs for the Rear.... Two guys at the Hobby Shop looked at me like I was stupid! 😬
WELL, I moved the Battery up front. I mounted a Light Bar, forward of Center. My ESC and Light Controller are up front, under the Hood...
The ONLY sprung weight AFT of Center, are Light Buckets, and a small Rear Bumper. What would YOU do?
I put 2.75lb Springs up front, and when I place her on the ground, she Droops slightly over 1/2" - EVENLY front AND rear!!
There are SOME people, you just can't help.... I'm still learning that - even though I'm going to be 54 in less than 3 weeks!
