- A sad day at Jet2 retired their Boeing 757-200s from Service, becoming the last UK carrier to still be flying the type in scheduled services.
Myself and @DanielSander were fortunate to get on the last flight from Manchester and immediately upon landing made our way to this beautiful spot in order to film it departing.

Thank you very much for this capture, too!🙂👍 - She´s departing in front of a really amazing scenery.
Many thanks! It was stunning the scenery 😁
@@JonathanWinton123 I saw this in the video. It looks like an advertising film for Jet2 or the Boeing-757-program.
Pilots will probably only see the "nasty terrain".😃
Farewell to a legend 🫡

The most elegant aircraft together with the Constellation.
Absolutely
Managed to spot G-LSAI arrive at GVA when I was onboard a SWISS A220 (HB-JCL), awaiting departure to LGW. I knew this was going to retire at some point like the others but I didn't know it was flying for the last time (commercially) on that day (4th Jan)!
RIP G-LSAI. You've lived great.
Nice one. Yes that was the last ever flight sadly.
End of an era, B757, the pocket rocket 🫡😃👍🫶
Yes. And she departed like a rocket.
The pocket rocket will be missed.
Goodbye jet2 757. Such a sad day.
For the final time. Goodnight jet2 757.
It will be missed
Very sad …all those people over the years that have travelled ….i still say planes are amazing things and it is a very special way to travel and a privilege to be on one
It is very sad you are right. All those passengers safely delivered. If we were to give it a fresh lease of life today and it started today as if it were new, it would still be flying in 2062 !!!!!!!!!!!1
I read up earlier that the pilot wanted her to go out in style so gave her a full power takeoff.
Not exactly. It is determined according to the required performance of the aircraft and the weather conditions. Our takeoff from Manchester was full-power due to the snow, this was likely de-rated as the conditions were good.
I was in 18F 😁 saw you in the field 😅
Nice one, I hope you had a good flight back to MAN 😁
Soooo melodic
Definitely
