I bought a pair of leather pants two years ago and finally got around to wearing them to a family event. I have to say getting the nerve up to wear them was like jumping a ice cold water on a hot day. Nerve wracking at first but after getting some compliments it felt really good to wear them. They give off rebel vibes but are sophisticated at the same time.
I do wear leather pants and I'm totally straight. My favorite pair are my Calvin Klein lambskin leather pants. They are extremely soft and warm in cold months. Most people don't even give them a second look but if I ever do get a reaction it's only been positive.

As for me, I wear my leather pants almost every day! As long as the weather is cold and cloudy. I once wore my leather pants along with my leather jacket to a family gathering and let me tell you. I got nothing but compliments of how amazing I look!

I'm an older guy who as a younger fella said he would never wear leather pants/trousers, but recently I was looking through a rack of casual pants only to see 3 pairs of leather pants (quite inexpensive black goat skin) in 2 different sizes. I thought it was odd to see then among the other pants of standard fabrics. Curiosity made me want to try on a pair, as I have never worn leather pants before. I took a pair off the rack and went to the change room area. I admit to feeling self conscious having to show the lady at the counter what I had to try on (mental hurdle #1). I went to a cubicle and tried them on and was pleased with how they fit. Hurdle #2 was feeling self conscious of going to the cashier to purchase them. Got home with them and immediately tried them on with a favorite shirt that I felt would look good with them. Hurdle #3 was deciding to wear them for the first time. This was at a Christmas party for residents and their family's at the long term care home where my mom is being cared for. To be honest I was a little nervous showing up in leather pants, which was the first time I had worn them in public. I seemed to get checked out by some of the female staff in attendance, which if I'm being honest made me feel more comfortable. With the cold weather, I now wear them 3 or 4 times a week even if only shopping for groceries. I don't care about stigmas or any such thing that I would have had previously.
I have worn leather pants for many years now and love them. They are warm in winter and fairly cool in summer. I actually got married in a leather suit
I wear as Men Leatherpants but i see nobody in those Pants. I'am always Single in Leatherpants and the People looks on me like a Alien. A lot of People have Predjuces about Men in Leatherpants abd have a Bad standing. I have often talking with girls about Leatherpants and a lot have Predjuces looks gay or sado Maso freak and don't like a Men in Leatherpants. But i don't care i love it and i hope any days of a big change in Fashion and more brave to wear Leatherpants in Public like the 80s.
I think it depends a lot on your vibe and rest of your look and style. I wear leather pants often as a guy, I never get any weird looks or comments. If your style doesn't work with leather pants, it will be an eye-sore and people can't help but watch. For example, if you wear like colored checkered shirts and sneakers with black leather pants, that is going to look weird af. I am always dressed in black and black only, black boots. It all harmonizes and then leather pants go quite easily. As I said, I have been doing this for years, no one ever stares or anything... its just fashion.
@amarug I wear Leatherpants too with a Black sweatshirt or a normally shirt i love checked Shirts in Black and Red with Black Leatherpants. But the Problem are the Predjuces. Maybe are different from Country to Country but in Germany have the Leatherpants a very Bad Standing a lot of People don't like Leatherpants and have predjuces and here very very rare People wear Leatherpants. I have see this year maybe four Girls in Leatherpants. For example yesterday i was in Leatherpants and Leather jacket for a work with my Dog and two Girls go along on me and looks up on me and giggle and i have this often in Public and thats absolutly terrible and at this time i don't often go out in Leatherpants in normally Blue Jeans are more pleasant. I hope any days of a big Change in Fashion but i think not at this Time.

TBH in most other countries around, I just came from, Holland and went to Switzerland, there you see people wearing leather pants all the time, literally every 100m one. Sure most are girls, but I have been wearing leather pants for years now everywhere, and no one ever looked weird at me, in no country I have been to, also not in Germany actually. But as I said, the devil is in the details - the pants blend in really well with my body/style/look. I am pretty sure if many of my friends would wear them as a replacement for the jeans they usually wear, people might look more. Also depends on the leather pants. I admit they are fragile and difficult, but my point is you can wear them without causing a scene. For example I would never wear them with a leather jacket, thats just super gimmicky and way too much. Which brands of pants do you wear?

Yes there wear a lot of people the Short Brown bavarian Leatherpants but don't long Black Leatherpants. Outside to Bavaria very very rare. In the 80s and 90s are every second Girl and Boy in Leatherpants but this time a over. And all the TH-cam or Instagram Models in Germany become a lot of Money to wear Leatherpants. But TH-cam are not a real live i say this always to another user. I was last year at Neatherlands to Visit Venlo but i have there nobody see in Leatherpants like Germany. Or iwas Blind and can't see the different about Blue Jeans or Black Leatherpants. xD I have talk about Leatherpants with a lot of Girls and the comments are always looks absoluty terrible or usually or only for Gays or Biker. I used to wear a lot of edgy stuff, including leather pants, but after having kids, my wife has discouraged me from pushing the style envelope. I actually miss the leather pants.
I really like leather pants, and I do wear them a lot, but the issue is that they are "fragile". If you are out of shape in general, its a very bad look. If they are not basically tailored to suit your body perfectly, it is a bad look. If they are too tight you look like you wearing leggings to some whacky disco, possibly bad look. If they are too loose and thin leather like lambskin, they look like trashbags. If they don't fit in with your personal style, its a bad look. Like I sometimes see a 60+ guy with sneakers, some nerdy pastel colored plaid/checkered shirt and some "outdoor goretex jacket" and then black leather pants. I mean wear what you want and tastes are different, but I will never get this. If you wear pants that are that loud, try to make it a coherent look, put some effort into it, leather pants go with nerdy items about as well as fine wine and cola mix. If you otherwise look like a pudgy accountant and you have the attitude of a mop, maybe this is not for you (yet./... go work on it). Lastly, even when everything is perfect, you are athletic, got tailored pants - they are still dependent on the environment: so maybe you get dressed in diffuse light and you see your look is great, you go out and the next room has spot lights and suddenly your pants look super shiny, which just doesn't look that good anymore. Still worth all the hassle, it's the fashion item I enjoy by far the most.

I wear them to almost all places (work, even church!) For me, it is just a style, a fabric, they stand out, but wearing them in those styles you show should be normalized. It is the coolest style!
By all means get at least one pair of leather pants. Make sure they are real leather, not fake "PU" leather. Remember: Friends don't let friends buy fake leather.

As a guy leather pants gives you an EDGE. Plus the fabric is so comfortable so warm during the winter. And its bad ass!

Men’s Faux leather pants are the most comfortable pants made….They are finally becoming more Main streem
