Looking for a great solution from Sonos to take to the gym, on vacation, to work and that sounds great? Check out the Sonos Move! A few things:
Sonos Move vs Sonos One - The Sonos Move sounds much better than the Sonos One. I have both of them next to each other in my Gym. The Sonos Move plays louder, has slightly better bass but sounds WAY better with highs. See below for more detail.
11 hour battery life - This is great for beach days, picnics, etc. where you might be at an all-day function.
Sonos Move vs Sonos Roam - No comparison. The Roam sounds tinny and compressed but to be fair, many small Bluetooth speakers also do.The Roam has its place. Ex: One of our clients straps it to the side of his golf cart and messes up people's shots with "Shout at the Devil" at high volume. The Sonos Move is a little big for these shenanigans.
It's Sonos! Their ecosystem is reliable and is a great solution if you are using other Sonos speakers as a part of some whole-house solutions.
Back to the sound quality. This thing sounds fantastic with horns. Certain speakers sound very realistic with certain instruments. The Move sounds great with wind or reed instruments. If you had this in 1988 to highlight the sax for "Careless Whisper" by Wham, "Icing Sugar" by the Cure or "The Working Hour" by Tears for Fears, you would definitely be voted "Coolest Kid" for your high school senior award!
