    Thank you, ladies, for being so real and vulnerable. It's reassuring to hear successful ladies who also struggle with marriage/divorce and child raising. Beautiful to hear your struggles, lessons, and loves.

    Mayim Bilak is one of my favorite actresses who I grew up watching on TV since 7 years old. I love her on the tv show like Blossom and The Big Bang Theory. I'm obsessed with her once more in Call Me Kat. I love her socks she's wearing and she's got beauty and brains.

    Love that Mayim is now exploring the inner journey. She reminds me of my mom who was a very masculine workaholic and yet a helper and giver to make the world a better place but sadly she never got to that stillness phase. Her life was all about proving herself in the out there realm. Love what she said “emotions can’t hit a moving target.” Absolutely true!!! Until I was 30 I was trying to be like my mom all about career etc. but then I made a full stop and at 40 I am a homeschooling hippie Vegan mom raising my kids outside in nature. Love you Mayim! 💚🌿✨

    Sage and Mayim what a lovely conversation! Can I just say that even though I’m a woman I’ve noticed that I tend to watch far more male podcasters than female podcasters and I think it’s because other than the researchers/scientists/doctors/people with a specific skill set that they are teaching from there’s only a handful of women that I find interesting and who actually have interesting conversations. The rest seem either overly dramatic, super gossip oriented, or just interested in stuff that I’m just not. Your podcast is really refreshing. My mom used to call me a dainty Tomboy, in other words I’d run around catching snakes or whatever but would still come home with my clothes clean. I’ve always been feminine and mother duckish but never girly or cliquish. I go in and out of fashion as the fashions change and I’m rarely aware of it. Twice in grade school I got ostracized by the girls because of the disdain of a popular girl so by default I tended to hang out with the boys a lot, but I was never seen as one of the boys either. I was always in more the sister or boo-boo fixer type category. Aka the girl the guys could act like guys around because they don’t see you as a girl (they talk about how to pick up girls, complain that girls are crazy, and pick their noses around me). Sage, you strike me as someone similar who is feminine and yet can hold your own with the boys without feeling that you have to be one of the boys (Mayim you strike me as being similar in that you can swim comfortably in either pond but because your comfortability comes more from being yourself than from the waters you are surrounded by. I’m not sure if I’m making any sense. Sage, you strike me as “I can run with the boys while still being a girl” and Mayim it’s more like “I can run with whomever, so long as I’m me.” It’s a subtle difference that I think is probably irrelevant because it boils down to you both being comfortable enough in your own skin to be confident in your ability to interact with others regardless of who they are or what they represent). You both have also shown that you can hang with the girls and delve into the core of the truly feminine experience of motherhood etc. Too often I see either women who only place worth on women in the areas where they are aping men or I see women demeaning women’s capacity to ape men in order to give themselves permission to wholeheartedly indulge in their feminine sides and develop feminine strengths. Sage, I t’s nice to see someone who is very clearly comfortable with being a mother and a woman and feminine with comfy fuzzy socks but who can hold her own with both men and women. I love your quiet confidence and competence. You showcase the strength found in kindness, compassion, and vulnerability. You are creating a gentle space where hard and varied conversations can take place in a truly feminine way. PBD is creating a space where opposing opinions can be debated with mutual respect in a very masculine way. I freaking love it! You guys both kick ass and are doing such a service to humanity! Mayim, I love that you came on. I love that you guys got to talk and connect through motherhood and branch out from there. (I love attachment parenting and I nursed for a long time too). I think that we all have so much more in common than we often realize and that many times our motivations come from the same core even if our positions are opposite. I love that you came on regardless of trepidation. I also love the sock choice, my son has pants with sharks on the knees that open their mouths when he bends his knees 😂. Just as funny and just as awesome. This conversation made me feel like I would truly enjoy both of you as people. Brilliantly done ladies, you are healing the divide and making the world a better place with your example. Bravo! Thank you again 🥰

    This was just okay. I felt Sage talked far more than Mayim. Mayim had some pretty strong views and it would have been nice to have her explain why they have or have not changed. There was a lot that could have been explored and this was very surface level things.

    Sage, I am loving your podcast and the guests you have had on so far. I know this is a new format for you, but I have some feedback that I hope you can appreciate... I think you talk WAY too much about yourself to the detriment of getting to know more about your guests. I loved Mayim Bilak's episode but sometimes I got the feeling that she was interviewing you (or at least tolerating your personal rant) instead of the other way around. Mayim did a great job of interjecting her story when you were going on and on about yours. I look forward to seeing you grow your podcasting skills. I really do love listening. :)

    • @melodini3125
      @melodini3125 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I actually like the back and forth because it feels more like a conversation than an interview. It’s funny because with a lot of interviewers, not all, but a lot I would agree, but with Sage and a few others I’m actually equally interested in what she’s saying because it’s more about the conversation she is having with her guests than about just getting to know who her guest is. I’m not sure if I’m actually explaining this very well. It hadn’t actually occurred to me until I read your advice, which is advice I usually agree with, but suddenly realized that with Sage I don’t think I actually do because I’m equally interested in her perspective and part of the conversation. I think it’s that subtle difference between feeling like I’m a fly on the wall listening to a conversation vs an audience listening to an interview. Both valuable but also different. One is more intimate and the other is more professional. Anyway, just my personal perspective and one that I’m kinda surprised by.
