Yup! Yup! Yup! I'm sure the only time I saw this was about 30 years ago. I'm amazed how fresh it still is. And written in a time when any difference was a target for insults and body shaming, the script see's everyone as beautiful! The only other TV family that I can think of, that has such great loving parents and who love each other this much, and even accepts difference, is the Belcher's in Bob's Burgers.

Male and female have never been the same, and each hold treasures only they can do, that should be seperated and loved, not forced away as to say everyone is the same. I want women to wear elegant dresses and men to wear slacks and a shirt, I want separation and different between two people.
In my opinion, real couples do bicker but are able to work it out eventually. No real couples are happy all the time or agree with everything or are always romantic with each other. Guess that's just one of the many things that makes the Addams Family different.
I really really wish The Addams family would have made a crossover with The Munsters. Like The Jetsons meet The Flintstones or the Griffins meet the Simpsons.

The CGI is much better than most things made now, it keeps alot of the good things about the original. If you treat it as an homage and not a comparison, its actually good.

It's not surprising they were attracted to each other in real life (though they were both in relationships already); so, they channeled their mutual attraction into Gomez and Morticia's relationship. Yeah, it was a very different time. In another episode they show here on TH-cam, Gomez contemplates, and even bumblingly attempts, suicide because of mistaken jealousy over a visiting old childhood friend of Morticia's! 😯😄 Hey, it was the 60's; standards and practices for TV were different.
Prostitution was in fact not looked down at the way it is now. With "woke" culture prostitution nowadays is seen as much more evil than back then, although it wasn't a thing that was openly discussed either.

I can only dream of having a wife like that, and having that kind of a relationship. Addamses were the most normal functional family on TV. Us men, love to worship our women. All we ask, a little bit of respect back.
All the decades I've seen this show, this episode even, I just now noticed the "Garden of Earthly Delights" (or the prop masters version of it, anyway) hanging in Fester's room. Lol.

Steve Johnson he’s actually Mortica’s Uncle but yes they made him Gomez Brother in the movies.
He is Morticia's uncle in this series, and grandmama is Gomez's mother
they thought they were brothers in the new version only (movie)...not in the series ..
