Ardyth this is, in my opinion, one of your finest videos. I did chuckle when you echoed a comment I've made many times. " watercolor is not my thing ".
I would love to do what you did on your last card - the colours that came out were WOW and watching different colours come out on black construction paper and seeing the true colour on white paper was amazing - love your videos- a Canadian Fan 🇨🇦
Amazing! You used three of my favorite things - - black card stock, glimmer/shimmer, and gel plating!! I learned so much from this video and thank you for that!! I thought that was pretty clever how you turned your watercolor painting into an embossed resist card. Lol and it was also pretty clever how you cut that one that you didn’t like so much and turned half of it over so you could make a full background that you did like! You are definitely clever!
All of those cards are really beautiful and amazing! That plastic wrap technique is really cool! That is definitely something I want to try. Thank you for so many great ideas!
The Lisa Horton Inks are so cool.. I love their look on the dry embossed panels 😍 I need to get some Metallic colors. Very clever ideas for the cards too!
I really enjoyed this video! I too have the metallic watercolors and rarely use them! I have the regular too and I’ve never used those! I need to try some easier watercoloring so that idea of the embossing was great. This was a much needed video, I think. Your cards are all great! I didn’t realize those inks were shimmer. The cap looks gradient. Great video! Thank you!
I love the plastic wrap card..never tried this before..AND I'm going shopping for Lisa Horton inks..they are gorgeous..I love black panels..all your cards are wonderful!
I just took a Quick Look at pigment craft company. I hadn’t heard of them before. I love their style! All their sample cards I just loved!!! Totally my style! They reminded me of stamp market. Which I found too late and now can’t really buy anymore. I have so much I haven’t used! But really liked that new company! Thanks!
Thanks for a great start of the weekend again. Hard to choose my favorite, as I like a lot of them. Maybe the "masculin" card, that one was super pretty! Thanks for the inspiration! See you next time! 😄
So many great ideas, I love the geometric items. But getting more of the dies from Spellbinders? Great idea but not sure my husband will like that, LOL!! The result with the plastic is another one for my to do list… by now they all are on my to do list. Thanks again for sharing so much in your video, it’s much appreciated 👍
Ardyth trying to do a Christina Warner technique and then basically saying, “ain’t nobody got time for that” is all of us. 😂 The panel turned out great!
Beautiful cards and reminder that black cardstock does make a great panel! I think I liked the watercolor w plastic wrap the best… or…!!🤣. They are are great. Must investigate those inks! 🧑🏼🎨😀💗
I bought like 3 different shape dies from spellbinders because I loved the cards. And this was one I bought. But when it came it came and it was only one die I think I was really bummed. I thought it’ll take forever to create the card fronts I liked with just one die! But they are so cool! Exactly the kind of thing we both like!
@@ardyth did you get any other shapes? I bought 3 but returned them. They are great and buying more was the smart thing to do!!! I want to say way back when I got them they were like $3.
I’m not going to buy any new supplies because I just picked up a bundle of the Solar Pastes and I haven’t tried them on black cardstock yet. I want to try an embossing folder technique with them and now I wonder if I can do the plastic wrap technique with them. I’ve heard they work for splatter when watered down, and I have some metallic watercolors too. But also no patience for intricate watercoloring. The clear on black heat embossing was gorgeous!
I have the solar pastes and they look great on black cardstock - I have a video about it (Conquer a Learning Curve), if you're interested. I'm sure the plastic wrap technique will work, and not only leave the look of texture but actual texture. Enjoy! Thanks so much for watching!
Love them all Ardyth ❤️ I just picked up one of the interference inks to try. My favourite was the plastic wrap one, can't wait to try it! I use a lot of black cardstock, but I have trouble sourcing what I need, any recommendations? I'm in the UK. I've been using a lot of Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, after gilding, I spray leftovers, mix it on my matt, push the cardstock onto it and lift it, which I'm sure you already know, leaves a dendritic pattern, which I then press my card back into! I'm just fascinated by it, looks great for all sorts including glaciers, but that's on white, under water, inside a cave, endless. Out of all the mica products I've used, I've found the best results with the NEM. I love playing, that's why I enjoy your videos, thank you, always appreciated ❤
I knew someone was going to ask me that. My favourite black cardstock is Ebony from Ellen Hutson. It's smooth, and not thin, but not super thick either. I don't know who makes it and now she's out of business, I'm using up my last pieces. I will have to do some investigations...Sounds like you've been having lots of fun! Thanks so much for watching!
I have to pretend I can't see that Lisa Horton Interference ink. Unlike you, I can't ever buy just four of something that comes in lots of color. I think black cardstock is actually my favorite to use. It's so easy to make things pop. Almost effortless. I really wanted you to cut that double side panel when I first saw the results. I'm so glad you had the same idea.
Great stuff here, Ardyth! Question: What is the iridescent spray you used (near the beginning of the video). I didn’t seem to find it in your supply list…. TFS!
I was thinking if you do not have this beautifull ink you have I think you can get kind of the same results with Simon Hurleys pastes. They are also beautifull on black!
I was using Ebony from Ellen Hutson. It's no longer available and I'm very sad about it! lol! It's super smooth and a really nice weight. Thanks for watching!
Ardyth this is, in my opinion, one of your finest videos. I did chuckle when you echoed a comment I've made many times. " watercolor is not my thing ".
Thanks so much! I want to watercolour like Kristina, and I know I could learn, but I need to find some patience first. Thanks for watching!
Ardyth, when you find out how to get some patience please advise me. I'm 80 years old and STILL haven't found it.
I would love to do what you did on your last card - the colours that came out were WOW and watching different colours come out on black construction paper and seeing the true colour on white paper was amazing - love your videos- a Canadian Fan 🇨🇦
These inks are really amazing! Thanks so much for watching!

Beautiful backgrounds, love the use of the black cardstock. LOVE LOVE LOVE the plastic wrap background, it was amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching!
All great ideas!❤️😊 I also use acrylic paints on my gel plate to pull prints with black cardstock! Those make awesome die cuts and backgrounds.
I want to practice with that a bit more but I definitely like the look! Thanks for watching!
Hi Ardyth. I loved them all, but i really think I'd like to try the crinkled plastic wrap one. What an amazing demo. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Thanks so much!
So many great techniques. The interference inks look very fun!
Thanks so much!
Super stunning cards Ardyth. TFS 😊❤
Thanks so much!
Really pleased to see you using the Lisa Horton interference inks ( I am one of your UK subscribers). I’m a big fan of her products. Great cards. ❤
She's fairly new to me, but I'm definitely eager to try more! Thanks so much for watching!
Great video, Ardyth 🎉❤❤
Thank you for all of your inspiration 🎉❤🎉

Thanks so much for watching!
All of those cards are really beautiful and amazing! That plastic wrap technique is really cool! That is definitely something I want to try. Thank you for so many great ideas!
Thanks for watching!
Those interference inks are incredibly cool, I couldn't believe they were the same on the black vs white cardstock!
They look really different don't they? Thanks for watching!
Love the effective of your last card when you brushed across the entire cared with the metallic bronze over the embossed area!👍
Thanks so much!
Wow...love how these turned out. The plastic wrap was a stunning result!
Thanks so much! 😊
WOW!!! So many fabulous ideas ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
As ALWAYS, a fantastic video!!! Thank you for your fabulous content!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
These are lovely!!! I’m a sucker for shimmer & I forget to use black cardstock! TYFS!! 💘
Thanks so much for watching!
Beautiful as well as fun. Tfs ❤😊
Thank you! 🤗
The Lisa Horton Inks are so cool.. I love their look on the dry embossed panels 😍 I need to get some Metallic colors. Very clever ideas for the cards too!
Thanks for stopping by, Ishani!
The cards look amazing.
Thank you!

LOVE THE PLASTIC WRAP TECHNIQUE. TY
Thanks for watching!
FABULOUSNESS!!! Love all of your projects! You say they aren’t your best but you ALWAYS make them awesome !!!❤😊
LOL! They can't all be my favourites, but I definitely enjoyed playing with the inks! Thanks for wtaching!

Pigment is Canadian and seems to be inactive. I think their colour palette is similar to The Stamp Market as well as their look. Thanks for watching!
@@ardyth oh! You don’t think they’re open anymore? Their prices were a bit lower too I noticed. Too bad. Or good depending on how you look at it! Lol
I love these! I don’t normally use black cardstock either
Thanks so much for watching!
You did a fabulous job at highlighting all the most common techniques on black card stock! Your cards are great❣️
Thank you!
Thanks for a great start of the weekend again. Hard to choose my favorite, as I like a lot of them. Maybe the "masculin" card, that one was super pretty! Thanks for the inspiration! See you next time! 😄
LOL! Thanks for being so faithful every Friday!
Those were some great ideas for using black cardstock. There were many ideas I have not thought of before while cardmaking. Great video!
Thanks so much for watching!
I want to try all of these techniques! Amazing cards!
Thanks so much for watching!

LOL! At $6 each, I figure I can justify having 4 or 5 of them for the same price as a coverplate die. Thanks for watching!
@@ardyth hmmm you’ve got a point there 🤔
Great video! That interference ink is sooooo neat! The black Thank You card with the leftover stenciled leaves pattern is my favorite. ❤
Thanks so much for watching!
Very stunning cards. Thank you for the great ideas for black cardstock.
Thanks for watching!
Love all the great cards and awesome tips!
Thanks so much for watching, Kim!
Love seeing the different techniques you come up with. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Fabulous ideas my friend! Thanks for all the inspiration! I'm intrigued by those inks too!
Thanks so much for dropping by!
Gorgeous cards 🥰 I love your backgrounds, your techniques and your card designs ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thank you so much!
Great job, Ardyth! You are so creative! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Ardyth trying to do a Christina Warner technique and then basically saying, “ain’t nobody got time for that” is all of us. 😂 The panel turned out great!
LOL! I love Kristina's style! Thanks for watching!
@ I do too! I watch her videos in amazement. I like your style too though. It’s nice to have lots of different approaches to learn and try.
I love using black on most things so this gives me some good ideas. They are just beautiful. 🥰💕
Thanks for watching!
You have some really great ideas here with stunning results. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much 😊

Beautiful cards
Thanks so much!
i love your videos always fabulous ideas keep up the good work thank you so much excited to try these ❤
Yay! Thank you!
Awesome tips and beautiful cards as always! Looking forward to trying some of these techniques! Thanks Ardyth!
Thanks so much for watching!
It's surprising how different those interference inks are on black vs white! I love the plastic wrap panel.
Thanks so much for watching!
Great ideas, thanks !
Thanks for watching!
These are all so fabulous! TFS!!
Thanks so much for watching!
I am with you. I lack the patience for certain techniques!
LOL! Sometimes I can sit and do something for hours - inlaid die cut is a good example, but I was not feeling it with that panel! Thanks for watching!
I bought like 3 different shape dies from spellbinders because I loved the cards. And this was one I bought. But when it came it came and it was only one die I think I was really bummed. Haha! That's why I bought a few more - I figured for the cost of a coverplate, I could make my life easier when making these cards!

I use very dark navy cardstock as black because I can’t find dark black and these techniques will look great as well. Thanks.
That's a great tip! Thanks so much for watchig!

have done a few white and black so may try reversing
