i recall an interview mtv with evan dando in which he stated he could not remember just how long he had kicked the heroin habit since he had been smoking so much pot recently..
he's into a different sound is all I can come up with. but your right. he obviously isn't big on sound but more after substance. the songs are so good he could probably go without a guitar
