Thank you, Lama Dzongsar Kyentse for the statement, "Buddha was not a Buddhist". As a Bhutanese, I always had this uneasy feeling of the various terms such as Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism etc. If the legacy and heritage of Prince Siddharta is encapsulated into another "ism", I am afraid we would be putting an expiry date to this great philosophical tradition that mankind has ever conceived. I hope your message awakens many who try to do this intentionally or unintentionally. Respects to Choki Nyima Rimpoche.. Heard a lot of good things about RYI.
again, so grateful for such refined teaching, while o p e n i n g the entire platform of contemplation of, and hearing / observing timeless teachings through time, anjali mudra/gasshoooo o o o o s h o
This looks like… Sunday, December 9, 2007, Rangjung Yeshe Institute, annual symposium on Buddhist Studies, with topic "Buddhist Education: Tradition and Modernity" for that year.
Thankful for Rinpoche's teaching always. Can any one can write down the question as I could not hear it very well and I wish to research with it a little more on the internet. Thank in advance.
With due Respect and Devotion to Rinpoche , and my point of course is not to have the pretention to correct Rinpoche , but just to add what Dharma itself teaches : as a Westerner we often hear lamas saying such things as : " if Westerners knew Dharma or if World leaders knew Dharma " but as Rinpoche knows though Dharma is most Precious : Dharma also needs a container of quality to be well listen to , to reflect on what has been taught and to meditate and having the compassion for all beings . French dring wine in special wine glasses , Dharma Teaches also that the container should be clean, have no hole , nor be put upside down, and a Mind of good quality knows how to preserv and appreciate the nectar put in it . Rinpoche often speaks of the Japanese elaborated Tea ceremony , Dharma is the same without a proper container ,even the most precious nectar gets wasted .
Long live Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche! Thanks very much for uploading.
