1:13:25 What Rinpoche is communicating is very important, and when I was just first meeting the Vajrayana I had the opportunity to get one of those big hands on the top of my head. It was with Dilgo Khyentse and it changed everything.
oh nice, glad to see Dzongsar bring up the distinction between kriya, Caryā, yoga tantra and the higher level tantras. I wish he spoke on this issue more.
Dzongsar says that westerners need to accumulate more good merit for getting better teachers. I agree. He talks also about it being important to have a proper foundation for vajrayana. I agree. I think we Americans and Europeans need more training and more foundation in Theravada and Mahayana. These should be taken more seriously as literal prerequisites for practice before encountering Vajrayana. This would be accumulating enough good merit for better Vajrayana teachers.
thank you prospective teacher for teaching me here.... thank you ... it is a good time to learn... some you talk cannot be found in the tantric books I read.... tq
OM A RA PA TSA NA DHI in our humble opinion such statements like "everything is your projection" can be really very dangerous and be misused by so called manipulative gurus ! In psychiatric terms such methods are called gasslighting . Use your intelligence/prajna to discern . Never give your power away to some manipulators . Discover your innate Buddha nature and continue in Natural state of Dharmakaya . Guru Garab Dorje gave us Three statements to discover our innate Buddha nature . May it be auspicious .Health and long life to you, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, you taught us a lot during 1994 seminar at Adriatic coast : Art of enlightened warriorship . We remain grateful. OM A RA PA TSA NA DHI P.S. Regarding the Lineage : your late father Kyabje Thinley Norbu Rinpoche wrote very enlightened chapter in the Magic Dance : Lineage .
From how Dzongsar Khyentse describes Vajrayana guru-student relationship (mahasiddha lineage), it really sounds much more like a Pratyekabuddha lineage. So is a Pratyekabuddha practice being misapplied by attempting to put it in a public context? Seems like it. Perhaps it makes sense to distinguish between Outer Tantras (Kriya, Carya, and Yoga tantra) and Inner Tantras (Anuttarayoga tantra or Maha/Anu/Ati Yoga tantra)? Outer tantras are for the public, but inner tantras should be much more private?
yes, paradox leads to magic. and that is emptiness as in paradox.. yes the workings of "magic", the manipulative power, the Buddha's 4 powers of subjugating, enriching, pacifying and magnetizing can be executed within that emptiness, am I correct, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Norbu Rinpoche?
nope. I will never be nervous if I ever asked to be your student but you ought to be if you wanted to be my guru! Ask my precious teacher. I think I sometimes spook him with my behavior. See? He is very gentle and fragile like a piece of fine porcelain..... keepgiggling
Rinpoches is no doubt knows A lot .. but somewhere i didnt get the Point what he is trying to Teach ...ofcourse this might be the Language Barrier or may be there is a bit of a Tanglement in Vajrayanas concepts..
yes.... you seen to be teaching - here - but sometimes it look not real... it is only a projection out of my computer. ... Am I here receiving this teaching? Appearance and emptiness... exist? not exist? Did I exist here? Maybe not. Well... keepgiggling
Wandering vs a hierarchical institution that propagates something incorrectly. Vinaya as checks and balances versus "no thanks we are vajrayana' club mentality. It's all here - for those who had their trust and inspiration damaged Rigpa has not done them more good than bad ... even if there is good there is confusion as to the truth of dharma - corruption. That is a major obstacle that only intelligence and work to filter out things. A good talk but again DJK still has no idea what cults are and how they function so he just talks about appearances, not about group think, reducing peoples capacity to think critically. All the while some of the questions are rejoicing that now there is the opportunity to ask questions. I go back to wandering

This guy has zero credibility to talk on future of Buddhism when he himself is in guise of Sangha when indulging in a “ worldly “ pleasure
