Coppelia is greek for young woman and the title of a french ballet from the 1800s. In the ballet the eponymous "Coppelia" is the name of a doll that a mad doctor tries to bring to life by sacrificing a man entranced by the doll's beauty the doctor is foiled by the man's fiance after she dresses up in the dolls clothes to fake it coming to life. The song seems to me like a loose reference to the story with the doll (copellia) coming alive through human sacrifice (like a vampire). It's an incredibly obscure reference
I didn't really like Nhato's 2018 autumn/winter era since a lot of his songs were a huge miss for me because they either were too uninspired or either sounded really bad to my ears. BUT ! This song is a huge hit and has to be my favorite of this era, it's catchy as hell and the lead melody is pretty nice (dat synth solo at 2:42 dayum). I hope Nhato will produce more Nu-Disco in the future !
