Generaly, ark mechanicus is a TYPE of vessel, wich is not even closely in hundereds of kilometer. It is comparable to an imperial battleship, wich is maximum in tens of kilometers long.Your pictures of "Bucephalus" are pictures taken from Starcraft (pc game), where Bucephalus is a flagship of the heir of the throne, princ Valerian. That type of vessel is completely different to any and all warhammer 40K vessel.
In the book Ark Mechanicus Speranza is stated as size as a continent. Spanning 10km isn't enough to be called a continent.
Well since Starcraft is a "cancelled" WH40k game, makes sense.

I’d say the only ones you missed for the iom is Furious Abyss which are the size of the phalanx. Necron overlord oltek capital ship was 30km was a bigger Crain class. Do star forts count the tau have continental size ones ect

@@user-py6wo6ri7q I don't seem to remember those existing. The phalanx is the size of a small moon and they did use Stellar Engines in the past but I've never heard of a planet sized spacestation.

I believe Dark Angels are using their Gloriana-class vessel, Invincible Reason, besides the Rock itself. If memory serves, lore/canon says it is part of DA fleet to this day. And it is 28 km long as it befits the ship of the Angelus Mortis Primus.
It also has a docking bay inside the Rock, along with the rest of the Dark Angel's fleet. The rock is far larger than the previous video gave it credit for, think hundreds of km, not a handful.

Wow. Those top tier ships are awesome. I could imagine in their top tier peak performing composite states they could be even better and more powerful. Too bad they don't have the means to replicate things like those anymore and don't do much active department or institute tech research into them either.
I could imagine they would make even the Culture from M Banks and the Forerunners largely impressed and respect such large megastructure engineering feats required to construct such ships and the power behind them.
It kind of reminds me how I felt when I built my first Titan class ships and Ring worlds in Stellaris. And perhaps how a player feels when they bulid a Juggernaut.

Well, they still can build even larger ships and stations, so it's not a big deal. Even poor sector like Calixis is known to construct artificial planets.

Are you certain about that? Artificial planets is something I don't hear the Imperium of Man doing.
@@thorshammer7883 there are many such instances in the lore. Some even have information that such things are built in the 41'st millenia. This is just one such example:

Basically, these mechanicus wanted to make their star system self sufficient, so they built an artificial planet. And these are poor mechanics form Calixis sector on the outskirts of the galaxy. You can imagine what rich systems can build (spoiler: likely rings around stars as such thing was once mentioned in the _Dark Imperium)_
And this is a less impressive example:

It was maintained in utmost secrecy by the magi of forge world Goralech, whose patronage by a cabal of Ordo Malleus Inquisitors had seen them handle the darkest of proscribed lore. If I may ask how big are Artifical worlds, what is the exact nature of their construction are they founded on, and also how commonplace are they in practice? Because the wiki doesn't say anything.
The heresy regarding the emperor's warship will not go unnoticed. The inquisition has been informed.
The Silent King Ship is bigger than Earth and even bigger than a Super-Earth in terms of Size. Imagine the gravity well of this ship that could easily pull planets into orbiting the ship like a moon, ohh I forgot Necron Technology is so Hyper-Advanced that they develop a technology that makes their ships Massless, Enertialess, and Gravityless thus negating any bad side effects like the Aeldari Craftworlds counterpart have when entering a star system due to their size. The Necrons do not have any of them whatsoever like their World Engine Planet Craft staying chill in space without any gravity well that distorts the spacetime like a planet.
And further more I believe the function of the inertialess drive is that of continuous acceleration and in the voids between galaxies I'm sure it was even faster. Some people think that he was limited to light speed but I don't think size matters when you can control gravity and momentum. We have no idea what technological wonders he picked up along the way either. What knowledge he might possess about other hyper advanced beings that have their own histories with godlike entities. I've heard his ship had its own internal space similar to a Dyson sphere that contains a massive black hole which powers the vessel. And these are all capabilities it had before it left. He has the tippy top of Necron technology and he never wnet to sleep, he spent all that time acquiring more knowledge so I'm sure advancements were made and probably beyond anything that has ever touched our galaxy before. If Necrons are a type 3 civilization as a collective then he might be a type 4 by now by himself. I'll bet his baseline warriors are tougher than even a destroyer overlord. Or is it just lord?

Thanks for the video, I watched previous one a few hours ago and was a bit mad with how much you nerfed Warhammer. This video is so much better! Thanks! On another note, holy shit Arc Mechanicum is THAT large?! I just googled and it is true?! Holy moly! I read that it was largest Mechanicum ship but I thought it was along the lines of Maccrag Honor or something, not freaking Battle Moon! No wonder people claim its a 100% intact STC. Anyhow, Silent King's flagship is ginormous as well! Love it! I am liking this video :D

There are many such continent-size starships.
Should note, a typical Ark Mechanicus is around the same size as a typical Imperial battleship (like the Apocalypse class mentioned in the last video). Speranza is a peak into what humanity once had in the true golden age.

These sizes are way off base my dude... The smaller are accurate. But please share your sources for the larger vessels. Seems as if you just took a shot in the dark
I was about to say the silent kings ship is WAY to big and the imperator somnovem is incredibly too small
The Speranza is actually that big (it has enough space inside to simulate titan battles), the Silent King's one, I'm not sure (they are the Necrons though)
@@davisdf3064 Titans aren't that large. The Speranza could b 1/10 that size and comfortably simulate Titan battles. Heck, a warhound isn't even 60 feet tall, and a Reaver is less than 90. How big did you think an average Titan was? lol I'd be surprised if the Speranza is anything over 100 - 120 km. Remember they described it as being wider than the length of the other vessels. Most those other vessels are 2 - 8 km's in length only, so that's not all that impressive when you do the math, but as is typical with 40K fans always want to cherry pick the largest, and most impressive feats with no thought given the authors intention. Even if the Speranza were "only" 100 - 120 km that's still an enormous ship, especially when compared with other Imperium and Mechanicus vessels, so no need for hyperbole. Absolutely dwarfs the others including the Gloriana class.

Even if Titans are in the smaller estimates, the battle domes were said to be large enough for titans to shoot inside it and the shots could arc and fall fo the ground.
It doesn't matter how large the titan is, what matters is how large the domes would need to be for that to be possible. That would be at least a few dozen of kilometers.
@@davisdf3064 All easy to accomplish in a 120km long vessel. Go take a look at the proportions of a smaller, but similar vessel. How tall would you estimate a 120km ship would be? Not all that difficult to accomplish within those dimensions. And yes the size of the titans does indeed matter, as the power behind the weapons being used increases as the size of the titan increases. Size, power, range of the weapons = Huge difference. That's my take on what I've read anyhow.
Weak vid: I turned it off when I saw a Starcraft Terran ship image for the Emperor's ship the Bucephalus...lazy!
