I actually searched this one up a little but...
"athletic theme levels are based on the song.
The theme is usually played being a very hyperactive and energetic levels
The Song used for basically a risky levels
Or in this case it's the sky levels
"I'm not sure if you meant to say that the song should be in or the level theme "naturally having to do with the air"
If the level theme: usually an athletic themed level is a sky level because Sky levels are risky.
If the song: I wish they added it to but custom music is fine I guess...
TL;DR: I got confused when you said athletic theme in Mario Maker 2 and I was Readjusting was it the song or the level "theme"

New Super Mario Bros 2 is the worst one in the series. It sounds like a bunch of people screaming and the game is just shit overall.

A lot of people say that new Super Mario Bros 2 copies a lot of the music from the Wii counterpart but so does the Wii U version in fact the Wii U version is my least favorite new Super Mario Bros game.

If you really think about it this way new Super Mario Bros DS and new Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS or actually both completely different especially new Super Mario Bros 2.
What makes new Super Mario Brothers 2 different from the rest of them is it focuses on coins. I kind of wish the Wii U one would have done that too.

That is true it does reuse a lot more of the soundtrack then the Wii U one does. But I thought the gold flower was pretty unique. I didn't find the acorn suit as unique as the gold flower just because we've seen so many flying power ups in Mario games over time but we never seen a power up where Mario can turn things into gold before.
