As a female VP of a large IT company - I totally agree with the losers boys club..
People waste precious day time hours and then panic when their work is half done.. That's poor work ethic.
I neither take calls nor call my colleagues post 6 pm.. there is no business crisis which can't wait for the next working day..or which can't be handled by team working in the next shift (specific to 24*7 environments).
So Hats off to you Sir for your revolutionary topics and the revolutionary style of handling them head on.

Ya so companies should make it mandatory to throw these looser boys club outside post 5 pm as they waste the whole day before that and then look busy at the end specially all married managers who have no responsibility at home and trying to evade the little which they are asked to do.

So true, Indian bosses in America have same attitude regarding work life balance. On Friday American bosses leave work early and Indians are still having a meeting around 4:30 p.m. Indian management is terrible. Most of them are “uncle Tom” to Indian workers and cause unnecessary stress.

100% true and one more truth is bosses targets are now freshers because freshers dont have responsibility at home and they are easy targets as they dont know much about organization culture. Younger generation is loosing health early because of out of balance life. And people who have married life and want to leave early. Everyone make them feel guilty so they are not able to manage time. Boss is like available 24×7 and call anyone for work . This is bad trending culture. Thanks for discussing this and putting it on this platform. Also women employees suffers as they have to look after family also inlaws kids and cannot be available 24×7.

I have experienced this same thing. As my boss's wife used to work late, my boss would also work late (both worked in the same institution). And her wife would often make sure she goes home even later than my boss and goes out for a run even before he would wake up. It was clear looking at their life that most likely the wife did not want a child as she had very high aspirations from career or she didn't enjoy the pleasures of the bedroom. Despite my boss having made sacrifices for her, I think she didn't value those gifts enough. It is possible that they had a good marriage to show off, but it was empty inside. Or it could have been that they were just bound by some mutual parasitism or commensalism.

🤷🏽‍♀️ In fact, bosses CREATE problems and then engage people in getting them solved, to justify their designation.
Else, they won't sustain, since there's not much work for them to do.

Sirji i have faced this prblm. I had a fight with my boss regarding this and left job. If I reached office late than there is letter asking why reaching late. And office timing was 9 to 6 but i can' t packup after 6 becoz urgent letter comes after 4 or 5 or anywhere between 6 . All the work is urgent nd had to be done today this was the order. Mostly employees r considered hardworking if she or he works late. Sir ji all you have told is 100 percent correct

This is a pain point for many..I have seen sutta gang returning to their seats only at 5pm to just work upto 7pm ..has made it a normal routine...One of our lower grade female colleague was rate low & was quite upset..his rater told me to console her that she is kust a 9 to 5 worker won't get more than this...being a woman i felt so bad for her as I know she was doing her job very sincerely..this is the harsh reality of our work culture..no one appreciate the effort of the person who is doing his job effectively during the working hours...kya ukhadte hai ye log 5 baje ke baad har din..

My last dumb boss was 47 years old with no kids and his wife slapping him divorce notice who was (the wife) living with her parents for 2 years. It was obvious why he wanted to stay in office all night
The boss of my boss was also the same because he had a son whom he turned a spilt brat who got arrested from his hostel where he (the son) was studying engineering in Bangalore for drug abuse in a late night party.
Please don't be chatukaars if you want a happy life, these bosses will get you nowhere and trust me you don't want to be like them. It will be struggle some but it's a very good trade off in your late 30s and 40s.

100% agreed. Same situation in Karachi. Once my new boss came from a foreign bank, and when I went in his room at 5 to say goodbye, he said 'kiyun mian Kia half day Kar rahay ho'? Typical Dilli wala budha.
Being a semi Govt employee and parents from UP, I did UPian/Karachi job, I never asked his permission again, always came office on time, did my job honestly, just at 5 started closing my computer and went a way. And later on, I put him on track and he started saying 'yaar jab Hyderabad jao to Shahi Qilay say mairay liyay Rabri lay aana' .
When u r professionally sound you don't accept such stupidity.
Another boss, who just after 5 thrown away his socks and shoes, and put his foot on table and started reading Diwan-e-Ghalib till 10 at night.
