I had no idea sam could play guitar so well. Thought he was doing an incredible job of faking it for the first five seconds, then realized nobody can fake it that good.
There's an old '91 documentary on the guitar where Sam tells how he got involved with the guitar! It's a great show, with him, Steve Lukather ( Toto ), Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Les Paul, Brian May and more! Enjoy! th-cam.com/video/zvWgS9nR6M8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gc-qJZDu2NdiTfpD

I'm 67 years old. And I have seen and heard great comedians in my life. But nobody ever made me laugh is hard and as long, as Sam kinison. A true comic genius. When he first became famous in Houston, before he became famous nationally, I had friends that got to know him. And they all said what you seen on stage was really him. He was that funny all the time. We lost a great talent. I still miss him today. Thanks Sam, you were one of a kind.OH-OHHHHHH!!!!!
Yeah, I'm 61 and I feel the same way. I live in Houston and I caught his act thinking what the hell is this guy doing here and not in LA. Just one of a kind and thank god Dangerfield discovered him and got him going.
I'm 56 years old and grew up on Air Force bases and saw dozens of air shows, on the flightline, and I've also been to dozens of hard rock and metal concerts, up close and on the floor in front of the amps, so believe me, I know from deafeningly loud noise. I shit you not, the loudest most piercing and painful noise(in a good way) I've ever heard to this day was seeing Sam at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, Summer of 1987. When he screamed you could feel your bones and brains rattle.
Ironic, @@thomashogan7272 ? I don't remember Sam murdering anybody with his act nor his Trans Am. I guess there's no difference between a COMEDY ACT and jumping in your truck, underage, drunk, & killing somebody, huh? * SMH *
Uh, no we don't. I don't need some addicted fat buffoon yelling in my face and calling it comedy. He's a gimmick comedian, not unlike Carrot Top or Gallagher. Give me Hedberg, MacDonald, Murphy, Louis CK, Chappelle, Gervais, Spade or Sandler for stand-up, anyday.
So amazingly talented in a variety of ways. What a life. Left this world sitting on the side of the road following a fatal car accident responding to God who told him it was time to go.
Yo, why is this monologue not on the episode on Peacock. It's crazy to me what gets left off those episodes. The whole point of that platform should be to present these shows as uncut as possible
"The last original voice in comedy" -Norm Macdonald. I often think of what a field day Brother Sam would be having with all these snowflakes and cancel culture insanity. He would eat them alive. You are needed and missed Sam!

First: Is the bass player the Hahns kid from The Burbs… look it up, resemblance is amazing. Second: I’m never amazed by Sam Kinisons talent but this was pretty awesome. All bright candles burn out first. 🙏
Such a great talent that was taken way too soon! I can't begin to imagine what he'd be saying about everything that has happened in the country and the world over the last 30-plus years. And I had no idea he was such an excellent guitarist!
Omg! I never knew he played guitar? And he's really playing i know because im a guitar player myself wow! It's the year 2022 and this is the first time i seen this wow im floored!
He kinda reminds me of murder face from Metalocalypse how he bites his bottom lip never would guess that he played guitar and it’s actually really good ⚡️💥🔥🎸🤘😈
I almost got to meet him. I knew his friend Carl LaBove around the time he died. His death death really effected me because it seemed like he was turning things around and then dumb luck took him out. SAD!
Amazing.... We'd wait all week for Saturday Night Live. Incredible musicians, real comedians, truly remarkable writers and talent. So irreverent but never mean. And no Internet or social media to pick it all apart the next day. Seriously.... Good Times!
tomorrow is 30 years since sam was killed by a senseless teen drunk driver. i'm going to spend the day watching as much of sam as i can, and imagine what he would have to say about our world today.
I had NO idea that G.E. Smith invited Sam to shred with him, that is AWESOME. G.E. was always the best SNL bandleader, just a cool dude (regardless of political leaning, because I'm sure someone will bring it up).
That's why he always wore the beret. His management didn't want him to wear it when he first appeared on SNL, but Sam insisted because he was embarrassed about his thinning hair.
I love how he just shreds on guitar, and doesn’t say a word about it. How humble is that?

Who has ever faked his guitar playing since Elvis Presley?
@@tylsimys67 Sid Vicious absolutely did. He couldn't play the bass at all, and frequently the amp was turned off when he was on stage.

I didn't know either until I was watching a documentary and they showed this clip of Sam Playing the guitar.
He was hands down one of the coolest people on earth!

Sam Kinison how refreshingly honest and meek he was. I didn’t know he played guitar, I enjoyed his playing. He is missed.

I’m so jealous. Thank you for that story.
Fucking A! He was the real deal and a real musician.
God, I miss him. He was so beyond talented.
Sam had so much talent, music, acting, comedy, we lost him to some teenage drunk--incredible tragedy
Tragic and ironic given what Sam had to say about drunk driving in his act.
He lived so dangerously, got cleaned up and then died because of someone else’s stupid reckless behaviour. There’s tragic irony in that.

Shred is being generous
let me correct u.
