Well Saturday night lives mostly all improve meaning it’s all made up on the spot. They get to practice there lines but they rehires the day of the show.
This is before they were all so stoned that they can't remember lines and need to read everything. Its awful.

That fact that he hesitates to say "teacher" makes this a very great sketch and some top notch acting

I also am proud to say I helped prison inmates, and H.S. drop outs earn their GEDs, as well as taught disabled kids. Which both are blessings to my own personal life. Just thought this was funny. Kinison is a comedic genius. Saw his show in Ft. Lauderdale in late 80s. Hilarious. Hence the laughing emoji in my original comment..

The greatest thing I have ever heard a Teacher say to a student happened when my 86yr old, former football coach and the then drivers ed teacher called the star basketball player for our girl’s team, who was 6’5 and could’ve been the best player on the boys team came into class late and listening to her Walkman. Yeah, I am old as Shizzy.
Anyways Coach could fly into a rage at the drop of a hat. So she comes strutting in while rapping Eazy E, he turns Bright Red & says “Sit your giant jive turkey ass down and clamp them lips Shaniqua!”
Her name was Kelly! Lol! Even the black kids were cracking up! That Old Racist Dude wouldn’t last a single class in 2020. Or in 2010, or hell even 2000!
I love it at about 4:15 when somebody in the crowd completely loses it and SK looks right out into the audience, giving the slightest acknowledgement, breaking character for a split second.
Holy bleep, I clicked your mark at it is PRECISELY to spot I nearly lost it in a public place--it's when he said it was his SON who drew that, and the way he said it. Did you hear what he said when kicked the chairs, which happened after the lady cackled in the audience, "There's no ... (KICK) I hate these little chairs."
Incredible. Died watching that. Absolute dynamite delivery. Between this and Back to School... fan-tiddly-diddly-tastic.
I was laughing more at that person in the crowds reaction then what was said at that moment.

Fun Fact: Sam Kinison hated Sketch comedy so much he only agreed to do SNL if he could write his own material. He remembered every bit of dialogue he came up with while the other cast members used cue cards.
Yeah this kind of played into his act pretty well so that makes sense too
I misunderstood you. You say Sam remembered - I thought you said Sam wrote all his material on SNL. He did actually suggest and add material to this sketch. In my opinion, the sketch didn't need Sam jumping out the window or not being the real teacher. Originally not written that way.

When I first saw it sitting next to the teacher I thought he was going to say it was Sarah’s and that is why he was calling in her parents. But that would have been from a concerned, sane teacher.

@@EPrimeify I met him with friends at a comedy club when he was just starting out. I was there to see a friend perform. The same night Robin Williams came in and jumped on stage with them and fooled around for two hours. I feel so lucky to have been there then. We all went to breakfast (sans Robin Williams) and thus began my friendship with Sam.

Sometime around 1987 (I think) I saw Kinison live at the Beacon Theater in New York City. His show was so wild I wondered if I was gonna get out of there with my life.

Kinnison in top form. Although scripted, he knows where and when to go in to his lunatic act by the rhythm of the sketch and it totally works.
