As a Thai I 1000000% do not recommend anyone traveling to Thailand to use public taxis. There’s an app called Grab that you can use like Uber which is way better. I know Thai taxis got bad rep but god damn that dude was mad 😂
App based drives are a lot easier to sort out the bad ones.

Highly recommend yall educate yall selves about the currency exchanges in foreign countries. 1st and foremost. There's also guides and better English speaking transportation services available. Lastly don't talk all the ghetto hood shit/politics in a foreign because it's easy for them locals to make bad shit happen to you without getting caught. Don't act like yall untouchable and thinking all that "ima do this and that" mentality won't be a grave mistake. Lost an uncle that went to visit Laos and thought he could bring all that noise from America there and end up paying with his life.

As a Thai , Do not use Taxi! They are scammers and dangerous local peoples use Grab or other apps

Can someone clarify the taxi incident? Was the taxi driver saying about giving change from Cambodian currency to thai baht? Did both sides agree the taxi ride with luggages will cost 1,200 baht? Why they giving him khmer currency? $12?
I can see this as a huge miscommunication. Use baht next time not some other country’s currency so there will be no confusion.

He called him an a-hole because he thought Mac was asking him to exchange Cambodian currency to Thai baht. Taxi driver agreed to exchange it for him but didn’t agree the taxi fare as just 100 baht. Mac then gave him the exchange amount of 100 baht for the cab fare. The video doesn’t disclose what the agreed fare was. Mac had no Thai baht to give him so instead gave him Cambodian currency in Thailand 😂 what a mess
The taxi driver’s English is very limited. He clearly didn’t understand. Miscommunication on both ends.
