The thing with Quinn is that she really went through a lot in the first season, but everytime she grew as a person the writers would just throw her back down as a mean person. She could've been an actual amazing character with a good redemption after all that happened in s1, but Ryan Murphy wanted to just keep her as the pretty mean cheerleader.
People don't experience growth in a straight line, though. The whole point of Glee was that people needed to immerse themselves in a supportive environment - and that kind of support takes time to absorb and benefit from, especially if you grew up in a shallow, insincere environment at home, the way Quinn did. She was also a child! and needed to make multiple mistakes in order to learn multiple, overlapping lessons.

He's made other solid moves. For example, he participated in the scheme to get Becky to confess to bringing a gun to school (although the show only gave hints about how the adults worked together to make it happen). Even Sue wanted Becky to confess, and helped make it happen.

I think when Quinn starts crying at 0:57 she genuinely feels remorse for her actions. It breaks my heart to see a pretty girl like her cry. I get she has a lot of personal demons and issues, but still, I think she has a tremendous heart deep down.

And yeah it's out of character for Mercedes, but she was shown as lazy in that episode. She even had said in a previous episode when Jesse and Schue were taking auditions together that she didn't practice. She used to just perform at the spot. Do I think that removing her from the Glee Club is extreme? Yeah. Rachel stormed out of the choir room more times than I can count but she didn't face consequences as harsh as Mercedes did About his Spanish situation, he tells Santana why he picked up the Spanish teacher job, cause he needed money and that was the only job available, and he was married to Terri and she was shown to be gaslighting him anytime she wanted to. I'm not saying that's right, but that was the situation he was caught in, ALSO he attended night classes to get better in that episode and as soon as he saw someone who could be better, he gave up his job. That whole episode was a way to educate the viewers about cultural appropriation and how Schuester decided to pick a job to survive. Somehow people only got the first part. Santana wasn't wrong with this, in fact Santana was the writers vessel to talk about how cultural appropriation is bad, but so was Schuester. Sexually suggestive songs, yup inappropriate af. A real life teacher would be fired if they did that. But that's the thing, Will isn't a real teacher. He's not even a real person lol Again, yeah he knew that students were bullied, sometimes it happened in front of his eyes, but he did nothing. None of the McKinley faculty did. Instead he gave annoyingly condescending pep talks about turning the other cheek or ignoring it or something. This is what actually infuriated me about the show. But when Karofsky threatened to kill Kurt, Will took Kurt to the then principal(Sue) to file a complaint against Karofsky and then we got to see Sue's nice side again when she expelled Karofsky and resigned in protest when the school board overturned her decision, again that shows that Sue's not all bad. Again, how do you think Sue found out about Karofsky threatening Kurt? Will! Starting a rivalry with Finn: rivalry is a very strong word. He just wasn't on speaking terms with him. Why? Finn kissed Emma, his fiance! Are you telling a guy can't even be angry with someone who kissed his spouse without the spouse's consent?

Also please don't think of the actor's reactions during the performances in the choir room as their characters, because it's known that (almost?) all of the cast actually enjoy watching the others perform and unless being given scripts that tell them to act otherwise, the people who react to the performances are the actors, not their characters

The Mercedes thing, Beiste and Emma I think actually told Will that pushing Mercedes was helping her be better, cause they saw Mercedes perform exceptionally well in that Broadway play audition that one time, so he believed that he was doing was good. A teacher isn't omniscient, when his peers literally told him," whatever you're doing, it's working" can you really blame him when he pushes her harder, especially if he didn't know her side of the story. And yeah it's out of character for Mercedes, but she was shown as lazy in that episode. She even had said in a previous episode when Jesse and Schue were taking auditions together that she didn't practice. She used to just perform at the spot. Do I think that removing her from the Glee Club is extreme? Yeah. Rachel stormed out of the choir room more times than I can count but she didn't face consequences as harsh as Mercedes did
About his Spanish situation, he tells Santana why he picked up the Spanish teacher job, cause he needed money and that was the only job available, and he was married to Terri and she was shown to be gaslighting him anytime she wanted to. I'm not saying that's right, but that was the situation he was caught in, ALSO he attended night classes to get better in that episode and as soon as he saw someone who could be better, he gave up his job. That whole episode was a way to educate the viewers about cultural appropriation and how Schuester decided to pick a job to survive. Somehow people only got the first part. Santana wasn't wrong with this, in fact Santana was the writers vessel to talk about how cultural appropriation is bad, but so was Schuester.

Again, yeah he knew that students were bullied, sometimes it happened in front of his eyes, but he did nothing. None of the McKinley faculty did. Instead he gave annoyingly condescending pep talks about turning the other cheek or ignoring it or something. This is what actually infuriated me about the show.
But when Karofsky threatened to kill Kurt, Will took Kurt to the then principal(Sue) to file a complaint against Karofsky and then we got to see Sue's nice side again when she expelled Karofsky and resigned in protest when the school board overturned her decision, again that shows that Sue's not all bad. Again, how do you think Sue found out about Karofsky threatening Kurt? Will!

Am I the only one who doesn't feel bad for Quinn? Yeah she lost a lot but it was all her doing. She made bad decisions and she was a terrible person before any of that. This is what happens
