This is what Josh needs and what he’s not getting. He needs a 4 day stay at a hospital for alcohol detox. They’ll provide him with the proper medicine and nutrients to make the withdrawal comfortable, safe, and nonlethal. After that this dude needs at least 2-3 weeks under surveillance in a mental health facility. During the stay at a mental health ward or a “psych ward” professionals will be able to test out meds and fully evaluate him to get him back to his old self. I really hope this dude can get help, he’s young, there’s still a life ahead of him if he makes a change. I’ve done a detox at a hospital followed by a short stay at a mental health ward before and it really reset my life for the positive. Just hope he can get the game help.
Your first part was correct, your second part was not, Joshua isn't mentally ill he is autistic, no medication is going to fix that, the state of New York or New Jersey as it is unclear which state Joshua is living in needs to place Joshua under a temporary guardianship and appoint a guardian as well as assign a permanent adult social worker, they also need to have the courts review the guardianship to have it turned into a permanent one. It is very clear that Joshua is unable to live independently and needs a full time guardian to manage his finances, life choices and decisions (both personal and medical). He should also have a full time support worker too who is responsible for his diet and drinks, who supports him in completing daily activities, like shopping etc. Joshua can never live a independent life the evidence is clear on that however that does not mean that he cannot live a happy and healthy long life if he is placed under a state guardianship, with a appointed guardianship, a involved adult social worker and a full-time support worker to manage his day to day living.

I hope he can find some balance to his drinking and get these people out of his life but sadly i dont think that will happen given how far down the rabbit hole he's gone. Truely only wish Josh the best and anyone else out there dealing with similar problems, You can get better and you can be normal, You just need to stay consistent and try to make better choices, theres many of us rooting for you.

There’s a significant link between low support needs autism and alcoholism/substance abuse, generally as a form of self medicating. This is heartbreaking, and unfortunately he seems to fall in the gap of “definitely needs significant support” but “doesn’t qualify for involuntary residential care”. Seeing people take advantage of him and watching him spiral downward is really disheartening.
To the editor: thank you sooo much for playing every clip ever made of josh singing "In new yoooorrkkk! Concrete jungle where dreams are made of! Theres nothing you cant do!!!" So wonderful hearing that screamed at every mention. You rock! Lol jk love ya!
Josh Block is to be protected at all costs and we all must join the coalition to get him sober 🥺 His mom would want us all to give her boy a hug. He probably misses her so much 😢
Both my father and mother became alcoholics seven years ago, after having bariatric surgery (I'm not sure what it's called in English, but I guess it must be something like that). Because they were unable to eat, they started drinking as the reduced stomach accepts liquids better and this apparently happens to many people who did that surgery. I started drinking with them on weekends which later became weekdays and only after I moved to another state one year later did I realize how addicted I was. I was shaking because I wanted to drink! Alcohol addiction is often not taken seriously and the path to getting out of it is extremely complicated. I hope he gets out of this if it's the case.

@@minedude33 thank you for saying this bc this is what I wanted to say originally lol 😂. Alcoholism isn’t defined by time necessarily, it’s defined by lack of control, self destructive behaviors and patterns etc.
52:34 this is publicized abuse, exploitation, and torture…. I’m so heartbroken that he’s been brainwashed into believing he is how they treat him… most especially what they tell him he is or isn’t. He has NO ONE to remind him who he is and they’ve destroyed his identity… I hope he sees his art and maybe a teacher. Maybe he needs to watch the documentary…
There are state and federal laws against exploiting vulnerable adults, and that umbrella includes adults with developmental disabilities like Josh has. This abuse and exploitation can be reported to the local Department of Health and Human Services or the Department of Social Security for whatever County Josh resides in. If anybody has this information, please call and have somebody go check on him/open an investigation.
Absolutely love these longer videos you’ve been doing, your humour and perspective are great!
It is exactly like the south park episode with britney spears
*I suppose*
I’d have to say not really.
13 mins in and the video is ruined by the editor putting a clip of josh singing every 2.5 seconds
Yeah i don't know what were they thinking...
he has such a way with words 🥰
as someone who is autistic myself but more high functioning, this almost genuinely made me cry. esp. after seeing how happy his teachers and grandfather was.
19:22 I never once thought I’d ever actually feel inspired by something related to Josh Block… this is legitimately heartbreaking. He had overcome so much and was loved by the right people… The internet truly is a blessing and a terrible curse on humanity.
we don't need a clip of him singing every 35 seconds. bring back the old editor:(
Wait who’s the new editor?
Honestly free us
I was literally just thinking. Oomp should cover this
U watch this guy he covred yesterday on a other channel I'm half psychic 🗿👽
For real! I just found out about him through insta and it looked like he was getting groomed by the older guy or something.
Daddy Oomp is captain of this ship.🚢
don’t read my name.
And the captain of my heart ❤️ ❤

Hi
It makes me kinda sad seeing Josh the way he is now especially with how much potential he had when he was younger. He reminds me of a guy I knew in middle and high school that was very similar to josh. The only difference was that he didn't use any social media. The last I heard of him, he got a job,I really hope he's doing better than Josh is.
me too/6th grade tho his name was also josh too makes me wonder somtimes:(
I’ve been through the seizures myself. I’ve had the tremors. I’m 57 days clean typing this but none of it was fun. You couldn’t pay me to go back. Someone give Josh a hug and get that kid into detox.
If he does get clean he could use his platform to show off his recovery and help others find the path too. I’d watch that
13:02 you put so many clips of him singing that my gf couldnt stand keep watching this video with me lol
Brother I'm about there myself 😂
Why you as a man watch oompa w your gf
@@Kamelialanarchist why u single and watching oompa by urself
First time ive had to skip through parts of an Oompy video. Cutting to clips of this guys singing New York every few seconds was beyond annoying.
You covered this so beautifully. Josh really needs help. I hope he gets it soon.
I drink a lot and for pretty much no reason. It’s gotta stop someday
You don’t need a reason to do something you enjoy, as long as it’s in moderation and you aren’t hurting anyone do what you want.
@@Cloudy_Jones wrong time for this advice buddy.
Me too bro. We’ll get through this. One day at a time.
As someone with a nicotine habit, Zyn and other nicotine pouches have been great. Went from smoking, to vaping to this, and nicotine pouches are by far the easiest to control, at least for me. Withdrawals still happen, but nowhere near the level of cigs or vapes. I obviously wouldn't recommend it to anyone without nicotine dependence, but as a harm reduction replacement it's very effective.
Someone really needs to call adult protective services. This is so upsetting
You mean the police?
He obviously needs protection...
People taking advantage of him are downright dangerous right now, a direct threat to his health, even his life
@@jasonbrooks217The police are an awful idea. They're terrible at dealing with any neurodivergent people this has been shown in the past. There are specific services you can call where people who are specially trained in defusing situations and talking to specifically neurodivergent people can help instead. A cop is more likely to shoot
@jasonbrooks217 no. Not the police. The people that deal with adults with mental disorders or learning disabilities. Police are often the WORST to call for people like this as they have no training on hiw to handle people with things like autism, ocd etc
It’s insane how he hasn’t gotten a court ordered stay at a mental institution, or does that just not exist in NY?
I admire the mustache. It gives you a "Am I Chuck Norris or am I Ron Jeremy" type vibe.
Mr Based is an actual demon. His rabbit hole is actually insane like he got a girl killed.
Need a ribbit hole on this
I hate Alcohol. I think it brings out the worst in people!
Lost my gf because of this fcking poison. It doesn't worth it
Watching on my TV, paused when I saw oompa had a song, easily one of the greatest masterpieces of all time
It’s like he knew I just sat down
ALERT. ONE HOUR OF OOMPAVILLE. ALERT. ONE HOUR OF OOMPAVILLE.
As an alcoholic, i genuinely feel bad for him, i wish he could get it under control like i have. Unfortunately i doubt he will considering the toxic people surrounding him. honestly he needs forced treatment
It blows my mind how adult protective services have not been called to try to help him
This is so sad. Some autistic people are more vulnerable to addiction, so it’s not surprising he got addicted when he became old enough. Hope someone helps him.
What's sad is how autistic people are being exploited
His whole demeaner changed after he met Michael. An innocence seemed gone. He's being taken advantage of in every conceivable way. Once the 2nd guy entered the picture, they became more like his captors and this is a form of torture. Tough to watch.
17:53 i love how in this video, Joshua's glasses are tilted just like his grandfathers 😭❤
Drinking challenge: Take a sip of water every time the editor adds a video of Josh singing New York.
I'm a guy with autism, I am not anywhere near Joshes level but i see alot of my younger self in him from a POV of alcohol abuse and how it just made me the worst form of my self, We struggle with social interaction and confidence alot of the time as it is so imagine just adding a substance that makes you insanely confident and "funnier" plus removes alot of your filters, It really just takes the leash off of the autism.
Oompa talking about a lolcow? Whose next? Cyraxx?

Alcoholic here. Trying to recover but i still have the shakes and other things. But it's a fight every day. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
10:44 CALEB! Please create more music! That song was awesome! Have Kris sing with you!!
Thankyou caleb for bringing awareness to these people
When oompa sang ny, reminded me of that dude in the fisher king who sang "LYYYYYDIIAAAA YOU'VE WON A FREE VIDEOSTORE MEMBERSHIP LYYYYDIA" lol
This is sad. People exploiting mentally unwell people for giggles, is disgusting and sad. This shows how far society has fallen.
This was quite literally the most annoying video oompa's done, couldnt make it past 12 mins. Take this like.
NEW YOOOOORK, CONCRETE JUNGLE WHERE DREAMS ARE MAAAAAADE OF
So glad to see oompa talking about this I’ve been filling this situation for a long time and it’s so sad to see
Daddy Oompa is backkkk 🔥 🔥 🗣 💯
He never left
Speaking of Candy, my SourBoys Lil' Guys arrived this morning! So tempted to open them and get stuck in - but I also got an email to inform me that my other order is on its way, so I'll have to hold off until then so I can do a proper 'unboxing' ... Gah!! The temptation!!
90% of what the internet offers is bad for you.
Oompaville Josh block video. Legendary mash up
iv only been to 9 countries
Yeah. Even manged to point t a finger at Asmongold in there too. Tho he is taking a break to better himself recently after some personal realization.
Oompa never fails to make me buss. DATTEBAYO! 👊
OG Naruto, nice 🙂
Under 1 minute I own this channel now
nah.
congrats oomp
Nice to see the new oomp
All hail king retro oomp
So many people I know are dressing up as him for Halloween…idk how people can look at his story and feel entertained instead of depressed
As someone who is also Autistic, I feel bad for these guys. Imagine growing up without any support whatsoever and your only "friends" are people on the internet who don't have your best interests in mind.
Now that I'm older, I look back at a lot of my friendships at their age and realize that most people took advantage of me and I had no idea. I can't imagine how much further it could have gone if it was being publicized for attention.
Just got my SourBoys order in the mail and im so stoked on it! Got some wicked bonus flavors with the early access:)) They will make amazing side gifts this christmas, if I dont eat it all first. Cheers Caleb and the lovely "L" who packaged my goodies
You're actually in my office, occupying only half of the 32" display.
Bro, we get the point: he sings NY over, and over, and over again. Did you really have to show each rendition?! This is the first time your editor(s) made me not complete a video.
I can't even finish this video, and I have been a super avid watcher of your videos.
This is actually really sad and i hope he finds someone who is actually his friend and not exploiting him
When my mom went to rehab, she almost died in detox as the rehab went about her detox the wrong way. The rehab was closed down a few years after her stay there.
I didn’t realize how badly it had gotten for him .. this kid needs real help !!
I feel so bad for his grandpa.. he saw Josh rise above the odds and do well to slowly falling apart
dam do not watch with head phones in lol
You know what got me to almost NEVER touch alcohol in my adult life?
I grew up around alcoholics, and I didn't realize it until highschool.
I think drinking is a dishusting trait, however having drinks with friends ON OCCASION is different.
Last drink i had was a year ago on my son's birth
as an autistic person this is horrifying
52:45 issue is Zyn wont be like an occasional thing and you're gonna mix it with everything else you'd wanna try or do regularly
Your SourBoys candy is amazing Oompa! Keep up the great work with all the awesome flavors. Pretty cool how far it's come
Is it like super sour? Or is it like manageable, I've been curious about the candy
I swear his doppelganger is an Australian streamer TuranSpidey..crazy likeness in both appearance and content 😮😮
Please make more music that song goes so unironically hard and is hilarious
I thought my brain was gonna melt on the last New York. Thank you for stopping it Oompa. We are eternally greatfull😮💨
as an autistic, former alcoholic. this makes me angry. this is a failure to protect someone vulnerable.
Josh Block is to be protected at all costs and we all must join the coalition to get him sober 🥺 His mom would want us all to give her boy a hug. He probably misses her so much 😢
Blessed me with an hour long video 🙏🙏🗣️
42:43 he exploits people too
He would honestly
Freudian slip
As a mother with an autistic son, this is terrifying & heartbreaking. Shame on these older adults for not helping him & using him.
Yeah like his parents
I think he intentionally put the New York singing repeatedly in the first quarter of the vid to drive us mad 😂💀
Gotta farm that engagement.
we lost mittensquad to drinking , we cant lose another
Dog you don’t need to constantly replay him singing. Once was enough
This was hard to watch. Seeing how bad humans can be to other humans. Makes me sick.
That is so heartbreaking. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.
2:25 actually, its runway robbery.
