Thank you so much for the tutorial! I was making a top with a gingham pattern and the colors peeking out between the rows were making me worried… I love your “disclaimer” on that and felt so relieved to hear that it’s normal! You saved me from having to frog an entire panel. 😭🤍
Love, love this tutorial and especially the helpful hint on carrying over the yarn so that the yarn woukd not curl up on you. Thanks so much will keep using your tutorials
Sometimes I just like watching others crochet without following along. It is very soothing, don’t you think? I enjoyed watching your tutorial, I’ve always wanted to do this type blanket but I’m not a fan of single crochet for the long haul. I enjoyed listening to you and will check out your other videos of this blanket in other stitches. Thank you! 💕
Omg I love you 😉. Your blankets are beautiful and you teaching and you go slow enough and explain perfectly. I am going to start doing these for my family.
Let me say that you are so talented. I love everything you make. So trendy and easy. I, personally, love doing single or hdc stitches, mainly because the border edges are nice and clean and easy to work into. I will be starting small and making a trivet using this pattern. Thanks again for all your beautiful patterns..
You crochet so beautifully! How you hold 2 working chains is amazing. I am making the blue gingham and it is so soft and stunning. Thank you for your excellent tutorials.
Hi Tiffany, love love your tutorials. I've done 3 attempts at this gingham pattern. I wish I could show you the progress. It is such a good idea doing swatches. I realised my tension was tight so I've gone up to a size K hook (6.5 mm) in the swatch and it looks so much better and once I got the hang of it, wow I have fallen in love with this pattern. Thanks for your patience in showing your technique. ❤️👍👌
Love you tutorial first time watching makes it so easy I'm going to make a couple of these blankets thank you and you're very patient in your voice is very soft and understanding tutorial
Thanks for sharing this lovely pretty pattern, I thought it's very tricky to do, but your explanation is very clear and helpful. It'll be my next project. Many greetings from Germany 💜🙏
I am definitely making this beautiful blanket next! I am SOOOO in love with it!! Your video is clear and explained very well ... thank you so much. And many congratulations to you for having your pattern nationally published & shared through Yarnspirations! How exciting that must be ~ you’re very very talented! 😀 I just came back to edit my comment... to say I LOVE your beautiful and very inspirational story on your blog! Thank you for sharing such wonderful positivity. God bless!!
You are a genius :) I love this and just got so excited to see you making this lovely pattern. I will definitely be crocheting this many times. Looking forward to seeing your blog page. Thank you so much for sharing. I love to learn new t hings! The tutorial is very good your instructions are easy to follow. GREAT JOB♥.
So very nice 👍 I absolutely love this pattern! I can’t wait to do one of my own! Congratulations on your pattern being published nationally by Yarnspirations! 👏👏👏👏👏
*WOW 😊!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GINGHAM & YOUR VIDEO'S ARE AMAZING 💝💝💝!* I LOVE RED & WHITE FOR SUMMERTIME, ALSO YELLOW & WHITE BECAUSE OUR HOME IS VERY COUNTRY & FULL OF SUNFLOWER'S WITH RED APPLES IN MY KITCHEN AREA SO I LOVE GREEN & WHITE TOO AT CHRISTMAS TIME BECAUSE IT MAKES ALL OF RED & GREEN, ETC JUST POP 🎅🌲💝😊! SO NOW I'M AMAZED AT YOUR ARTWORK & I CAN ADD SEVERAL COLOR'S TOGETHER 😊💝! IF I WANT TO MAKE TABLE CLOTHS, DISH TOWELS, DISH WASH CLOTHES & HOT PAD'S, WHICH YARN WOULD BE BEST? DEFINITELY COTTON ON ALL I BELIEVE, BUT DOES IT REALLY MATTER ON THE TABLE CLOTH? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR AMAZING TALENT WITH ALL OF US 😊💝!!!
I love your pattern, and want to make it for my expected great grand baby girl. One question...when you change colors for the third color of yarn, do you just leave the tail and weave it in later, or can you incorporate it and catch the tail when you put the sc binding around the edge? I hope that makes sense. Thank you so much!
I love the look of the griddle stitch blanket. Where can I find the instructions, please? The TH-cam video I found was less than a minute. I need more than Han that. Thank you.
Charlotte Patterson I’m working on a new video. It should be up in about a week. The instructions for griddle stitch though if you want to read through is on my website: daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-griddle-stitch-gingham-blanket/
I started one of these blankets but I did mine in panels thinking of doing it this way so I won't have all that sewing the panels together to do.Its red, black, mixed red and black.Used a N hook and double my strands of yarn.Wish I could share a pic haven't figured out how too thnks.
Great video, beautiful design. Started it today. Up to 6th tow. QUESTION: Why are my yarns twisting around each other? Am I doing something wrong? I have to keep untwisting them at the end of each row. Suggestion?
Daisy Farm Crafts Ok, Tiffany. I'm going to do that. I also saw that you actually have another video to explain how NOT to get it tangled. Thank you very much for your reply. My grandson is due in a couple of weeks and I'm getting brain surgery soon. Weird, huh? Oy! I sure do want this blanket to keep me busy!
I followed all your gingham tutorials, love love love them all. I am making one with white, pink and red. The pink does show through the white quote a bit, because I am using bright pink. But I do like the effect of it, I called it the peek-a-boo effect. Isn’t this great idea for a baby blanket? Babies do love peek-a-boo. This will be my charity crochet. Thank you again for your tutorial.
QUESTION: I noticed when you finished the video and turned over the piece you were working on the dark blue tail was hanging out and so how do I tuck that in so it is secure and will not show and will not come apart? Looking at your website WOW amazing :)
I'm confused at what point you lay your yarn over the front. I watched to see if it was every color change and its not. I am currently making one of your gingham blankets and you are correct, I spend a lot of time unwinding the yarn.
Hi..Tiffany, to make a gingham blanket how is the number comparison among the three yarn s? For example, for every 1 white yarn we need 2 medium color yarns and 1 darker color yarn. Is it so? Tq for sharing...
Where can I find the pattern for the blanket at the end of your vid...you called it the crumpled griddle stitch? I love your website and I truly appreciate all the work you do. Thank you for all your wonderful patterns AND congrats on the feature on yarnspirations-couldn't have happened to a better person. My God bless you in all you do!
Thank you so much! That is so nice of you to say and I'm glad you watched. Here's the link to the teal blanket with the crumpled griddle stitch:daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-teal-gingham-blanket/
If you look really close you'll see them. They peek through every now and then, but really the sc does a good job hiding them. I don't worry about it so much. It sort of adds to the gingham look. I do give a little tug on the yarn I'm carrying just before I change color to make sure it's laying flat against the row. You almost have to try the sample swatch out to understand what I'm referring to. Thanks for stopping by!
yes, it is listed on my website and on the pattern on Yarnspirations website. I mistakenly said in the video that it wasn't there, but it is, on page two. It's all single crochet. I explain in this video but I don't show. The links are in the description to this video. Thanks for liking the blanket! xoxo

Would this look right on a bigger blanket with say 10*10 blocks
Another fabulous tutorial! I would like to learn the crumpled griddle stitch you mentioned. Where can I learn about it?

Sheryl Smith hi! Yes, watch the video again, I explain that you have to keep one strand to the front and one to the back as you go.

merry martgrita yes that’s exactly it. 2 medium color per one dark and white. ❤️
Daisy Farm Crafts thanks much ❤
How would you make the squares larger? thanks
Deloris Sargent here’s a link to a blanket with larger squares daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-pink-gingham-blanket/
Which gingham blanket pattern would you recommend for beginners? Thank you! 💟
This one is great for a beginner. It's all SC. I still recommend a practice swatch to get familiar with the technique though.
Thank you! For the answer will try a sample first. I really appreciate the patterns.☺

I also have a video about it on my channel too! thank you for asking!
Daisy Farm Crafts can you make it smaller like in panels and join together
I want to do a Queen size blanket so 145 + 1 another 145 + 1 is 292 Is that right
Thanks
How do you prevent the colours showing through , yours don't seem to
If you look really close you'll see them. They peek through every now and then, but really the sc does a good job hiding them. I don't worry about it so much. It sort of adds to the gingham look. It does look better the further long it goes. Just discovered you and love your stuff. X
Have you got a pattern for the edging, it is perfect....
yes, it is listed on my website and on the pattern on Yarnspirations website. I mistakenly said in the video that it wasn't there, but it is, on page two. It's all single crochet. I explain in this video but I don't show. The links are in the description to this video. Thanks for liking the blanket! xoxo
You kinda sound like Gwyneth Paltrow. You get that, right?
