Well, the thing is, the more spokes you have, the quicker the weight transfer so the less stress there is on the rim. As far as fun is concerned, this is the ultimate combination, as you can do huge burnouts with minimal effort from a stand-still. The disadvantages, obviously, are that the wheel size requires way more room for turning, there is no way to quickly accelerate so every increase in speed must be smooth and incremental and, lastly, braking is very dangerous since there is not enough grip keeping the car stuck to the road (so you end up having to go almost as slow as a real buggy anyway, to avoid plowing into whatever's in front of you or sliding off the road in a corner). Needless to say, there is no way of driving on anything other than pavement or hard-packed earth, as the wheels barely have any weight distribution so they would immediately sink in soft earth or mud and bottom the whole car out.
