I always took that line to be like a "mad lib".....you know, he says (insert your name).....rather than "Bill" being part of the lyric. It annoys some people that I do that, but I just think it would be strange to sing it without using my own name. ;-) Thanks!

This is my all time favourite song, great cover. I've been adapting my rendition of this song for years. I am familiar with the right hand riff used here between 3:15 and 3:36 but have never been able to master it. I need it broke down a bit slower. I'm not very good at reading music so I mainly play by ear. Also I play it in the original key of C as opposed to the key of Bb used here. If I could get some assistance breaking down the right hand riff for them measures that would be immensely appreciated.

Yes....I'm in Bb.....I'm cheating a little bit using the transposition function on my keyboard and actually playing it in C. I had to learn it backwards and forwards in C to do the tutorial videos, and I just didn't want to take the time to get all the fills and the solo down in Bb LOL. I'm using a Hohner Marine Band Harmonica in the key of Bb. Thanks! :-)

Steve, this is absolutely fantastic. I'm a HUGE fan of Billy despite my age and where I live, and have listened to many covers of this song, and yours is by far the best. I honestly think you have a better voice than Billy.
Also, if you don't mind me asking, what state are you from? I can normally make out accents from different states but can't quite work out yours.

Question from a novice: I'm wanting to learn this song on the keyboard and I want to find the sheet music. Will the standard piano sheet music suffice or is there an altered version for a keyboard like your own?
I suggest learning playing by ear. It is the best way of learning to play songs like this. Then you can learn to play this song perfectly even in one hour. If you can play only sheet music you are better for pieces like Beethoven etc.

Hey Steve, what key are you playing this in? It sounds like Bb.. but it looks like your playing it in C... playing it in c but keyboard is set 2 steps low maybe?? What gives?
William B. Finley Yeah....I'm in Bb, but playing in C using the transposer....I used to sing it in C, but it was always a little too high for my vocal range....when I decided to drop it I was too lazy to learn all the licks and signatures in Bb

Wow, this may be the best version I've ever seen. But it is much more complicated (and interesting) than the version you teach in your tutorial. Would you consider filming this version from another angle, so that we can see what you'are playing? Especially short licks like in 1:08 or the amazing variations 2:20-2:40 and 3:15-3:35 and 4:45...
