check your frame rate settings on your camera and NLE timeline. You have a ton of judder which is usually a mix match of those things which makes your editor drop frames in order to interpolate the footage. Also if you hold the handle trigger while running it will put the gimbal in lock mode instead of the default follow mode and will be A LOT MORE STABLE. Cheers
Thanks for the heads up. I filming in 60fps and rendered some of the clips out in Final Cut when I was testing the ProRes RAW. So I may have done something wrong there since it’s been nearly a decade since I edited in it. And lock mode is great to know! Cheers friend 🤘🏼
This was great buddy. You got some awesome shots! Loved the tram shot in the opening. Looks like a complicated beast, but so worth it. Makes me want one and I haven’t even really started my film making journey properly yet 😂 Great that there is physical buttons to get through to things. Too much new technology only rely on touch screens now so that’s a good change. Awesome video man, hope to see more from this camera from you in the future. Side note, until you mentioned it I didn’t notice you had big hands ✋ 🤚
Thanks Paul! There's a lot to it but once you set it up you quickly realize how thoughtful DJI designed it. It's impressive. Lol and the hands... dunno where that comment came from in the moment
@@TrentErwin hey no worries at all buddy. Really great content again. I’ve just got an IG account and followed you there too. Hey remember what they say about guys with big hands! You wear big gloves 🧤 haha
Great video! Been waiting for this. I really with you could interchange the Inspire 3 gimbal with this, there is no point in having to be the exact same camera with the only difference being the connecter.
unfortunately it does make sense why you couldn't swap it out number one the camera is far less aerodynamic then it's drone counterpart number two it's heavier @@TrentErwin
Hi! I've read that you used Final Cut to render some clips so you didn't grade it in Resolve. Anyways, how did you grade it? Did you apply only a conversion LUT from RAW to Rec709 or did you apply any other LUTS? I'd just like to know if the look we see in your Image comes straight out of the camera or not. Thanks a lot!
A trend I keep saying though is people who own this camera repeatedly saying they tend to default to a Sony A7S3 or FX3 for crtiical autofocus work because lidar isn't reliable and has some major shortcomings.
thx for the review, i'm looking on this 4D since time, helps me. Wait for mid april, dji is coming...
The 8K and entire 4D setup is insane. It’s so well designed.

For sure, it makes no sense that you can’t swap them out. DJI makes great products but goodness they make it pricey these days

Nice review, Trent! Got some really cool shots. 👏
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Have you ever seen footage straight out of an Arri camera? I'm curious how it holds up to an Arri setup.
I have seen Arri footage but I don’t know how they compare straight up. I have heard rumors that the 6K camera is the same as the FX9/Venice 1.

Only a conversion lut on those
