Stevie began writing the song and then, somewhat later Don Henley joined Her and....together they finished this beautiful song.

She's done a great number of duets with men over the years, all of them worthwhile: "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" and "Insider" with Tom Petty, "Smiling Islands" with Robbie Patton, "Whenever I Call You Friend" with Kenny Loggins and "Two Kinds of Love" with Bruce Hornsby.

Give to me your leather = I seek your masculinity
Take from me my lace = I offer my femininity
The dance of yin and yang energy.

They were a couple for awhile too. Stevie even became pregnant and wrote the song Sara about the child

No no no no, you need to listen to all of Fleetwood Mac’s albums and all of Stevie Nicks solo stuff.

🌹Thank you for your respective reaction. I had to subscribe. To me the leather & lace can be taken literally - as in undressing each other. But, also about her being willing to accept his softer side and he accepting her strength. This was her solo career after Fleetwood Mac. I can't even go into her love life! There were men standing around the block who wanted Stevie.

I am sooooooo happy you like this song, and yes I take it as he is more hardcore and rough and she is more delicate.(Get your mind out of the gutter lol) And yes they were together, they even were going to have a child and she had to abort the child. She named the child Sara, which is another incredible beautiful and heartbreaking song by Fleetwood Mac, in the lyrics she even says "There is a heartbeat and it never really died". That has to be one of my favorite songs by them. So yayyyy happy you liked this song. And yes their harmony is soooo beautiful!

Waylon Jennings approached Stevie about writing a song for him and his then girlfriend Jessi Colter. Stevie had just broken up with Lindsey Buckingham and was seeing Don Henley. Stevie has been quoted as saying Leather and Lace is one of her most “disciplined” songs, due to Henley’s influence. Jennings and Colter broke up before Nicks finished the song, so she kept it for herself and recorded it with Henley.

Review After the Glitter Fades by Stevie Nicks. That’s a solid song about becoming successful.

Little bit of trivia, they were once a couple, but the song is dedicated to a real couple, Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings

Firewind - The fire and the fury is a both earth melting and heart melting heavy metal instrumental, a gem from one of the many Ozzy Osbourne line up guitarist Gus G. It has two parts, one has the full attack heaviness and menace the other hopelessly beautifull slow and melow. Pls get to react to that !

"Leather", "lace"-metaphors for his masculinity, her "feminine charms". That's the way I see it anyway.

I have heard of her. I must say I’m not too keen on her tbh. Great singer, fantastic in fact, but I think she needs to find her ‘sound’ still

Stevie Nicks is the GOAT. Literally. The baa-baa-ing of NIcks is great though, because Don sounds so fantastic coming in after that.
