Wicked is a book series that was released in 1995 and is a prequel to the wizard of oz storyline. In 2003 they adapted the book into a musical and now a movie.
Wicked can also be viewed as a reimagined version along with being a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, as it both tells in this first part of Wicked, we’ll learn why she’s the Wicked Witch, and in part two, we’ll see the events leading up to, during, and aftermath of Dorthy’s visit in Oz from the witches perspective.🙂
