They are very lovely dolls. In early 85 when they first came out l purchased 2, a boy and a girl, twins. Those marks on her face could very well come off with a wet wash cloth and some soap. I would surely try. She is lovely. ❤❤❤

I hope the marks fade or at least fade so not so obvious! Can you paint over them? Make them red marks like stork bites or something? The sculpting is very realistic, as a child I would have LOVED this baby!!! Good luck!! Thanks for sharing!!
these are very traditional here, the nail tips and blushing are more of a modern doll thing, dolls back then, especially from this company never had any paint on them, just the sculpt itself was made realistic and intented for play, not as a collector's item which is why they never 'reborned them' The concept of reborns itself is also more of a modern thing as well if I am not mistaken, so painting dolls was not a thing yet, at least not something well known. Modern day Spanish doll companies ( antonio juan, maria jesus, guca, berjuan, nines d'onil etc...)are making them reborn style now as it is the trend, but they are also so much more expensive...they used to be our simple traditional dolls to play with, and were perfectly crafted as they were and not seen as a collector's item that needs to be all painted or polished...just our regular plain dolls that were naturally simply very well made
These dolls were sold naked except for a piece of plastic tied like a diaper on them so this one has been removed at least once and was dressed. This doll was the very first most lifelike appearing doll ever made. I bought two of them when they appeared in Doll Reader magazine in the 1980s. They were advertised for sale with the info of where you could order them. I was working as a nurse in the newborn nursery of a local hospital when I first saw the add and couldn’t believe how realistic it was. At first I thought it was a picture of a real newborn!
These babies are special for sure. They have a really interesting history, and they’re still going strong with popularity. The 1980’s was a very special era for dolls 😊❤
She is cute!💗I hate when a seller lists something as new and it clearly is not. I have a doll just like this that was my Sister's but I am going to have to throw it away. The vinyl is ripped on the underside of one arm near the armpit in such a way that I see no way of fixing it. I hope you are able to clean the marks off of her face and if not you won't have any problem getting a refund.❤
Even if I was able to clean the black marks off the scrapes would still be there. I didn’t have any trouble returning her, but now I still want another one. She’s just too cute 😊❤
I hate the seller was unhonest with you &I got her when the first came out&she didn't come in anything but a diaper. By her having a dress/socks make me feel she's been played with...She's a beautiful girl ❤❤❤ Try some soap to remove the stains&if it doesn't work put acne cream on it and put her in direct sunlight 😊😊
I have the same doll, only bigger. You didn't show her belly button. She has a belly button and around her. She is adorable, I just love mine. And because she is full body, she is so easy to find clothes that will fit her, whether it is sleeveless or short sleeve. So she is fun to dress. If I were you, I would keep her and touch up her nose with a little paint. I think that she is worth keeping. God Bless!

Try a little alcohol on the marks and they should come off.
